This video really helped me man. I have been trying to figure the melody of songs so that when I'm doing back-up I should know what to do instead of clashing with other parts. I'm learning a lot of musical stuff so that before I drop my debut song and Album for the world I should be better. have a great time. God bless you

Bass is not really a common vocal part these days from my observation except occasionally when groups sing acapella. Correct me if I am wrong, then I may do one with bass.

THE VOCAL LEXICON well doesnt matter if its uncommon. If it can help any bass singers out there then u shud do it. It might make someone happy:)

Although, I understand this basic harmony rule you just explained, which happens to fall on Single Swap.
    Please throw more light 🙏🙏
i.e Conventional Part, Single Swap, and Double Swap.
    Thank you..

I just don't get why learning parts seems hard. I have been trying to figure out this part thing for a while now.i wouldn't say I get it but a bit of enlightenment waS ATTAINDED.
I have this question to ask?
    Why are each part switching?
Tenor should sing tenor. Sopranos should sing sopranos and auto as well
    Sopranos
    Auto
    Tenor
If the key is too low for sopranos then they should increase it instead of other parts now singing other parts that's not theirs?
    Sopranos now singing Tenor
    Autos now singing Sopranos
    Tenors now singing Autos
    I ask for clarity pls
    Thank you

This has been useful. we stick too much to linking vocal type to vocal parts. Does this then mean, we can sing almost any song at any key as long as we arrange the parts well?

    • @THEVOCALLEXICON
      @THEVOCALLEXICON  6 лет назад +2

absolutely! and as long as the key is comfortable for the lead singer.

  • @lukkygee

I still don't get this well just seeing this video now .from what you said does that mean that those with the tenor voice type takes the alto part Or the alto part becomes the tenor part
