- Just a walk in the rain around Malton near Lanchester. I don't usually post stuff like this but I enjoyed it so much.

Hi John. Just seen your drone footage on TV...article on solo panels in a few fields. The residents won a argument on the dishes been put on the land..and they showed your drone footage flying over the fields Brilliant.mate old dave
I didn't see it Dave, they asked if it was ok AFTER they showed it on tv! Anyway, that's three of us know it was my footage 😁😁
Lovely spot that John. I lived in Lanchester for 20 years & Malton was somewhere we'd explore as kids & as I got older I'd jog those paths almost every day. It's always good to see nothing much changes in Malton, it's still as green (and wet!) as it always was. I'm away from the area now sadly but when I visit it's always somewhere I revisit.

nice video john but i prefer your drone videos of the north pennines ,especially the one from westgate to rookhope that was special to me thank you for that.

Cheers Geoff. One of my specialties - stuff that smells! Teresa and Bert in their house singing 'Fix You', (I'm sure you will have heard similar sounding words 🙂) the screen size is smaller because I recorded it on my phone.
@@assessorjohn Excellent, I love the smell and taste of aniseed, oh that's right! It's Pernod 😂😂 In 1805, Henri-Louis Pernod first created it, the French my be clever but nature trumps the lot!! 😂😂👍

Hi John Any chance of a special drone video of land around Chapmans Well pond and Burnhope before it is destroyed by a Solar Farm with more to come😢 so so sad for our region .
Hi Ian, In short, yes. I don't know anything about the solar farm although I've seen the banner on the fence near the Three Horse Shoes at Maiden Law. DCC website describes it as a nature reserve with no information about the solar farm proposals. I already have footage of the area somewhere, or I can pop back, it's not far.

Hi John ....Great thanks ...this is the area soon to be destroyed if we can't stop it through the courts. Residents of Burnhope Lanchester and Maiden Law are disgusted by Durham County Council for approving this proposal. There is currently a crowd funding page up and running to help stop this.
