0:08 is probably my favorite part of this entire movie! Freddy's realization that:
1) he's in the real world
2) his reality warping tricks don't work here
3) Jason's there and he's PISSED

This is my favorite "horror" movie! There's nothing scary about it, but MAN it's entertaining!
Alot of people got scared because most of the people got either decapitated or killed in a fatal and brutal way
Seeing Freddy terrified was worth the price of admission by itself.

Freddy has a personality, he taunts his victims, he has an ego. Jason is more like a force of nature, an unyielding emotionless killing machine. I love that we got this silly movie, it's a fun one :)

It's funny seeing Jason grow visibly more frustrated throughout the fight from Freddy actually fighting back seeing as Freddy's probably the only victim he's really ever had to put some actual effort into killing.

Honestly I wish I could have seen this in the theater the first time. Those audience reactions must have been incredible.
I was able to watch this in theater when I was 11 years old and the very beginning once Freddy realizes he's in the real world and Jason is ready to destroy him everyone yelled "oh sh*t" or "fuck yeah!" Everyone would either root for Freddy or Jason to win. It was a fun day!
They were lol. My theater was going crazy when these 2 finally met face to face.
Theater I was in mostly kept quiet. I caught a late show; weren't more than 10 people in the theater at the time.

To be honest, this fight was actually a fair fight. While Jason relies mostly on swift motions and brute force, Freddy uses Jason’s size against him and strikes when he can, and when he can’t, he uses his intelligence to his advantage using the pressurized tanks as torpedoes, pushing those giant metal things(IDK what they’re called😂) to impale him and get him stuck, or cutting off Jason’s fingers to take his machete. Freddy may not be as strong or indestructible as Jason, but he put up a hell of a fight.
Rebar son, it’s rebar that’s impaling the big brute.
Gotta give him props for that. He was scared shitless but he still threw hands.

This scene was so badass and hype. A big part of it along with the fight itself was the fact that earlier Freddy used water to conquer Jason in the dream world(drowned), only to be ripped out of it later and be in a room of fire with Jason standing next to him(burned). The look Freddy gave was double terror.

Watching this as a kid (edit: even now as an adult😅) I had this fight scene on repeat about 10 times each time I watched the movie. I never could get enough of the build up w the metal, Freddy’s spat pants reaction, and Jason ragdolling his ass at the end😭😭😂
