Honestly, in a weird way, this movie is underrated when it comes to "VERSUS" movies, probably because of some of the decisions that were made but it's probably one of the best ones if not the best one out there. Unclear winner, no one sided BS, and rated R. We got a bit of a taste of everything in this movie, fight in Freddy's world, fight in the regular world, both of them using their abilities as much as they can making one walk away a blood mess and the other dead as hell. This is just a kick ass movie all around.

A lot of people are confused by this scene, saying that Jason shouldn't fear water because of the times after Friday The 13th, Part 2, he's been in water. That's where a lot of people make the mistake. Jason doesn't fear water. Freddy, in this scene, taps into the last time Jason felt any fear, which was when he was drowning as a little kid. After that moment, Jason never felt any fear of anything. This scene shows Freddy using the last time he felt any fear against him.

I would believe this only if Freddy would've put Jason back into the same setting when he drowned. Except Freddy didn't and it just implies Jason is afraid of water all because of the drowning which we all know he isn't.
He should had placed him drowning instead. That would had made more sense.

It only further demonstrates just how insanely *Godlike* Freddy truly is in the Dream World, it's as if he's some sort of nightmarish force of nature/entity or something like that. I also loved how the difference in the scale of power is showcased here as well, Freddy literally treats this supposedly "unstoppable/unkillable" being like he's nothing more than a mere ant/toy/plaything/piece of garbage, Jason may be a big deal/powerhouse in the Real World, but in the Dream World, he's so tiny and insignificant compared to the sheer scope/scale of Freddy's power/capabilities. 😈🔥🧤⚔🩸🛌🏽🏡
Also, I don't think Freddy's the *only* one who could throw/toss/ragdoll Jason around like a pinball, I think others such as Pinhead and probaby even Candyman among others could do so too.

This movie was straight up one of the most satisfying experiences I ever had in cinemas. I was a big fan of both franchises.
The story and young characters are adequate to justify them fighting.
Then you have the fights which are just insanely fun and bloody. They tear each other to pieces for almost the entire third act.

But I did enjoy watching Freddy and Jason fight. Especially watch Freddy making Jason feel powerless and beat up like Jason usually beat up people.

Yeah. It was awesome. My only gripe with this movie is that I would of like to see freddy use more whacky powers. Although it was cool we got a posession sequence, a nice little call back to nightmare on elm street 2. Even if that movie is considered to be the blacksheep of the series and against the spirto fo elm street.
Would of like a few more intense direct fights. My fav part is when freddy and jason are in the walls and freddy starts fucking straight up climbing over jason to do kicks. That was awesome. It would be nice to see him do more shit like. Same with dream sequence powers/powers. Like. Maybe they could of had jason sort of drifting in and out of sleep still due to all the drugs pumped into him. So we could of had some more brief powers.
The moment Freddy grew back his arms and caught Jason’s machete mid air, you knew it was about to go down 😂

Let’s just talk about how powerful Jason is in this scene, it’s obvious if he were dreaming for any longer he’d eventually die cuz when you face Freddy in the dream world you’re fighting a whole different breed, but he held up well, much better than anyone else in the series

Seeing as anything that happens in the dream world happens in reality and Freddy can do anything. All he would have to do is throw Jason into the sun or put him in a blender. Or even freeze him with liquid nitrogen. Or throw him into space or a blackhole

@hubertturski4807 getting a massive amount of help from the Elm Street kids isn't Jason winning solo. At the very least you have to say Jason with the help of the Elm Street kids was able to stalemate Freddy. The whole reason the elm Street kids helped out Jason was because Freddy was considered to be far more dangerous and powerful. At the end Freddy is still kicking, how do you know that wasn't just a dream that Jason was having of Freddy. Freddy would just go back to the dream world whether someone killed him or he went back by supernatural means. Jason looked like he was going back to his fantasy house on the water from the beginning of the movie. That did not look like crystal Lake. Lakes have trees and vegetation circling the water, not empty space in the background.

Freddy in all of his movies has never actually had a hard time killing others in the dream realm because he easily knew their fears and they're just regular human

the reason i love this scene is that freddy just casually taunts jason in the dream world by letting jason cut his arm off, relentlessly playing pinball with jason as the ball and just keeps slaming jason into the poles, and is ridiculously creative with his attacks like the metal squares pushing the machete into jason more.

This fight was actually pretty good. It showcased both their strengths and they both surprised each other.
Freddy obviously had the advantage, but Jason put up hell of a good fight against someone who had powers over their own domain.
Horror movies are usually cheesy and while this one also was, it had a solid concept and took a good amount from both their respective lore. Pretty sure this movie can stand the test of time when it'd come to horror CROSSOVERS. None other has compared so far, even 20 years later.
Englund's portrayal of Krueger was just as on point as it was in any of his other outings. He truly was a master of the craft.

One of my most favorite movies of ALL time. Definitely in my top 10. I like the Nightmare movies more than the Friday movies, but I still think that Jason is a fucking badass in his own right. They tore each other to pieces. I wish they hadn't canceled the sequel.
