One of the reasons why using valet scares me. This is one of the best places in Beverly Hills that valets the most expensive cars in the world. It seemed to be this guys first day because I had to stop him before he kept backing up and show him where the button is to raise the nose on the LP560 to avoid scraping the front bumper. After watching him struggle backing the car up the small incline in the driveway I started to record again when I saw smoke pouring out of the engine bay knowing he just completely burnt out the clutch. Even with an e-gear this is possible because he was never fully engaging the clutch.
If you think this is your Lamborghini please let me know because I took a picture of the cars VIN just in case. - Авто/Мото
The owner probably fucked the clutch up and didn't want to pay the 25k to have it replaced. Take it to a valet at a high end hotel / restaurant and blame the minimum wage kid who is saving for beer money. Free clutch and probably a free meal as well.
+Chris Quetsch You try and find a Clutch pedal on a lamborghinni gallardo... is just not possible
lol absolutely right..
+Chris Quetsch 1:26 Its a EGEAR... Good luck finding the Clutch Pedal in that car
IE obviously a valet wouldn't know all the ends and outs of EVERY car that he or she has to deal with. However its pretty common knowledge in the circle of owners that the Lamborghini single E-Gear's have major issues with reversing, hell they'll even joke with you to get into a parking spaces where you don't have reverse to get out. And in that video the Valet aggressively goes forward and than revers the car. He probably didn't break it but I'm sure he gave it a work out.
+Zeiss120 Ins and outs * =)
Agreed
You can't mess up a clutch that fast. It most likely was already fucked.
*****
Not at that speed with an e-gear. That was most likely already screwed up from rich idiot that couldn't drive.
jxsilicon9 hurr durr rich idiot
You proletariat fucks all sound the same. E-gears are notorious for being fucking awful in every way and having reliability issues specifically because the single clutch is so easy to burn out.
***** that thing dont make big torq till big rpm... it was fucked before hand.
***** i dont hear 4500 of revs...
***** uhh ya not revving high. which means it was slipping with no load, it was fucked to begin with.
idk when I watched the video it didn't smell like the clutch.
lol
Skynet Cyborg no
Title should read: Valet has to park Lamborghini with an already destroyed clutch.
Bart2278 exactly!
@@ZoeexHD Yup.. this is insurance scam.. gotta watch out for this in the business.
Matt P you cant burn the clutch that quick, no way can you burn the clutch in 1 min.
Let the fake mechanics talk
Clutch was already messed up. Douche is trying to pass it off on the valet.
my brother in law pulled the same shit on me when i was first learning to drive stick. all this smoke comes pouring out and im like wtf? i didnt wanna move his car in the first place so i didnt feel bad even though i was convinced it was something i did.
did he make you pay?
***** i was just a kid. he just wanted to upset me.
Hadnt heard of doing stuff like that for atleast two more years. I think I was thirteen or fourteen.
I think the same. Those are performance cars, you cant blow the clutch just by parking even when you are not keen on stick shift.
The video is proof that the valet did nothing wrong.
zioxei There is that one funny video where he is shouting and is very mad.
We all have our bad days
Rusty Maverick nope, valets fault
bull, the owner ruined his clutch drag racing.
you are stupid. your the bitch that comes and tells valets they damaged your car that you scraped yourself
Really don't believe the valet ruined it. I'm sure the owner doesn't know how to drive it as usual.
poor dude, he's got that "im so dead" nervous laugh, i know exactly how that moment feels
did you burn a gallardos clutch too?
Marcos Diaz its him..
Yep lol
so you took your broken lambo to valet, so you can blame them. good luck in court
he's rich, lawyers wont be a problem, and considering he was driving at the time it happend. the only evidence he could use is whatever the computer system analytics show for cars past health. thats about it for saying you didn't do it. but solid video proof of the clutch burning while this guy was driving, but thats why some vallets make you sign paperwork now before they touch your car.
more of a problem if ur rich...
so he records the valet every time he goes out? uhmmm a judge will see through this bullshit. $8.00 an hour valet to be sued for a clutch...
i dont think hes working there for 8$ an hour. i make over $15 and hour doing valet here in hawaii.
Derek Sola every state has different wages. Florida pays valet workers $5.25.
There's no way it's the clutch. It's obviously the blinker fluid boiling.
JC Estrellon No. But you clearly are.
JC Estrellon It's a common issue in Lambo's where the blinker fluid boils. It's caused by the heat of the muffler bearings.
Yeah man this guy that was a stunt driver crashed a lambo and the headlight fluid went all the way onto his lap, looked like he pissed himself lol
i got it borus
Carbon Addiction ;)
You would have to ride on that thing pretty hard for a couple minutes for the clutch to be smoking like that. It was probably already bad before the valet got it.
Only way to get clutch smoke that hard is if you wont engage it properly, and you basically sit on it,.. Dont forget Lambo has a big engine and even on idle you can burn it... So much for your car knowledge , peace Im out...
its an e-gear lambo.. how would a valet burn the clutch?
smh
thats what im saying wtf how could he burnt the clutch if its a paddle shift or e-gear it wasnt stick
You can stall a Gallardo. Unlike 430's, 360's etc. etc. you can stall the Gallardo. Watch some of Vehicle Virgins' old videos with his Gallardo. He explains it.
Yeah, Parker from Vehicle Virgins explains clearly how easy it is to fry the clutch on yes, an e gear Gallardo.
If I had the money for the Lambo, I'm gonne park it by myself. I mean come'n, it takes only 5 minutes +- more?
Think richer. If you had the money for a Lambo, you wouldn't give a shit about a Lambo. What's a clutch to the guy who can afford one. No big deal.lol
It's not how rich and even if it was I wouldn't want some guy burning my 300k car
Dave Chappelle
Just FYI, this car is sub-$200k.
LemonProductions09 Still a lot of money lol
LemonProductions09 its actually 225+k retail... and these LP spyders can still fetch over 200 pending year/miles... It's not a sub 200k car new
thats oil smoke , it's inpossible to fuck up a clutch in a few seconds
+gertjan van der meij Especially on a car without a clutch pedal. It's an EGear. Driver destroyed the clutch commuting with a sport transmition way before the valet got it.
TheRebel3000 Yeah lol Egear thats right !
+gertjan van der meij bullshit.
What does inpossible mean?
Simon Nilzzon Alert ! ...... We have a Wiseguy overhere !!!
You can hear a weird noise when he first starts reversing. Im guessing that the clutch was already fucked up. Propably too many launch control starts. Too bad that the valet got blamed for it.
i was a valet for a year. the reverse in most exotic cars honestly suck.
Reverse is fine, the car isn't meant to reverse up a hill
nlimskater nice buy a supercar and then u cant back up a hill :D .. how awsome :D sticking with my Hyundai Tucson :D
Ladosligese Yeah no one ever said Exotics were perfect, but they certainly are getting much better
nlimskater you call that a hill? That's roughly a speed bump....
That clutch was more than likely already roasted to begin with. The valet just finished the job.
If you pause at 1:27 you can see that the center console it has 3 buttons thats only for automatic cars not manual
good eye balls
AmRFuKYaH hahhahhaha
Ardalan Shabestari It has (had!) a clutch, not a true automatic. It's a robotic-shift manual that Lamborghini calls an E-gear.
Santiago Gonzalez these cars are notorious for clutch eating, it's a single clutch disc automatic gearbox, don't open your mouth and make yourself like an idiot.
I believe you... but i fucking hate volkswagen most ugliest cars in the world and its poorly made
If I owned a Lambroghinni I would NEVER in a million years let a valet park it.
The clutch was already fkd! only took a bit of revving in reverse to finish the job. To burn a new clutch you'd need to rev like 8000RPM and feather the clutch for like 60s.
Must be a piece of shit if the clutch breaks that easy. Wow.
There's a bit more raw force going into that clutch than your average Volvo, buddy. If you dunno how to drive a car that powerful? You shouldn't be driving it.
Vax The Fennec What is a heavy duty clutch Alex?
No, just takes a piece of shit driver. When you have over a ton of clamping force on a disk, doesn't take much to destroy ANY clutch when you ride the shit out of it!
He learned from the best ^
its an overpriced volkswagen. that same motor and tranny was designed by audi/vw. he should have gotten a self owned ferrari
The clutch was already knackered. You can hear it squeal when he reverses.
Yes, thrust bearing is buggered.
Clutches don't smoke like that at so low rpm use.
It was sleeping since a long time before it went out.
They barely last 30 000 on lambos
*****
yes,"slipping".
My bad, i'm french and was tired.
a clutch can slip quite a long time before to die in a puff of smoke.
as long as there is no big stress on it.
here they were trying to back up on a little incline.
i guess it was too much for the clutch.
Not even 30k. I know someone that is on his 3rd one at 15k.
football1NKeaglez
With normal use or he is popping burnouts everywhere ?
michaelovitch Obviously aggressive driving, but no, nothing of that sort.
football1NKeaglez he should get aftermarket clutch
I work valet, and pause the video at 1:27. It's an auto, no shifter just buttons for gears. Anyone else catch this? I'm not sure what messed up here but my guess is either coolant or the SST went bad somehow. It pisses me off when people blame shit in the valet when it obviously wasn't their fault. Fact check people.
You being valet isnt exactly relevant to this vehicle having a transmission, and therefore, inevitably a clutch. Im confused if you actually think theyre only in manuals. The buttons are just a giveaway to it being electronic id assume in almost every scenario? I dunno, land vehicle arent my first choice. Either way, your statements confusing to the point im surprised youve gotten 10 likes...
ruclips.net/video/qrLmsmneBHw/видео.html
unless you're intending to use it on a track all the time do not buy an E-Gear
If that's Chris Brown Lambo he a dead man.
You catch the craziest car incidents with your car. Good timing lol
When will people realize you never let anyone valet your car EVER
How do you burn a clutch with an E-gear…
You get Lamborghini to make a gearbox lol
LSG Drizzt No, it's just not supposed to reverse up hill with the E-Gear. All Lamborghini owners know this, the valet I guess did not. This is what happens when you have 500+ horsepower being feathered trying to reverse up hill. It burns it up.
The e-gear system is so smooth, and solid. Just isn't for reversing up hill.
Nick L Exactly. You get Lamborghini to build a gearbox. The fact that they cannot provide a gearbox that has the ability to reverse uphill is quite sad.
Haha i know! and thats barely even a hill!
This is DRIVER ERROR, not the clutch or e-gear system.
that thing is an automatic.. there is no stick shift in the console.. so how did that moron wreck the automatic clutch?
Paddles breh
C0revette789 even with paddles.. you'd still have to be a moron to wreck the clutch bc the clutch in paddle shifting automatics is still a semi automatic clutch .. there's no physical clutch pedal to operate as in a traditional manual transmission. ... and especially if you;re reversing..its fully automatic mode .. no paddle shifters are used .. this idiot wrecked the clutch in reverse !
***** fair enough .. integra with a b20 is far better than a miata that i learned manual in haha
- TSLA it was a normal miata, not spec'd
***** I agree that he must've fucked up with whatever he was doing but think the redness is probably a reflection of other cars' red lights. It takes a lot of energy to heat brake disks that much, as in decelerating a car like that from 150 to 50 as fast as possible, not just brakes fighting the engine.
As Lambos go, the 560 is like a Mom's version of a sports car. They should have gotten a real car like the Aventador LP 700-4. The owner probably being the bad driver most rich people are, burned the clutch a long time ago and good. Maybe they will get rid of that eyesore and buy a real Lambo.
id rather build up an 03/04 terminator cobra and smoke both cars...and another good part about ford 4.6 and modular is they're reliable as fuck
***** I like Mustangs and all too, but the "IMMA MAKE A LAMBO KILLER AND SMOKE YOUR ASSES" comments are just absurd. A lot of the purpose of owning a Lamborghini is the status of it. And WATKYKJYGP INILMATT , saying that the Aventador is a "real car" is purely uneducated. What is your purpose for hating on the 560? Because its older? The Aventador is an *extremely* overrated Lamborghini, and I don't like it as much personally because it shows up out of nowhere and suddenly it's everybody's favorite car ever. It's not as good as people make it out to be.
FROSTWIRE307 not really absurd when you can get a custom interior, built engine, supercharger and carbon fibre panels etc etc. lambo is a car for people who have more money than brains. its overpriced as fuck and you can custom build a car much cheaper and better. something that will last with an american v8.
***** Hence why I said, more for the status. Part of that is overpriced. Boo hoo, Mustangs aren't better than Lambos. I drive a Mustang, so don't call me a fanboy. I'm just not stuck up with Ford pride to admit that a Lamborghini is of a higher status than a decade old Cobra.
But on a side note, "Long live the Termi!"
mustangs are by far the much better deal. id take an original ac cobra or 427 stingray which are worth their price over the pos lambo
The car was torn up either by the owner or the car just malfunctioning on its own. It had nothing to do with the valet. This is also why I'm not the biggest fan of Automated-Manual Transmissions. They malfunction and are expensive to fix and maintain.
Hank Hill charcoal is better than propane
that guy sound other valet sounds like franklin on GTA 5
Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeever let anyone drive your shit.. ever.
Nobody takes care of your car like you do.. it's a universal thing, when people operate some one elses vehicle, doesn't matter what it is, car, motorcycle, bicycle, when the shit ain't yours, you operate it recklessly.. even if you might be held responsible should anything happen to it.
How did he burn the clutch out? Was he having problems backing up after the cam was turned off?
how can u burn the clutch in such a short distance/time?
Poor guy has the best and the worst job in the world at the same time.
what idiot gives the keys to a $250,000 car to ANY valet?
clearly you own don't a 250,000 car, when you have that kind of car you don't care about it because you have more laying around and you want nice service it complements you and
***** I wouldn't even if I did have the money. fuck the valet. they'd prob be joyriding your shit and god knows what else
Robert Lipscombe joyriding? check how many kms your car has traveled
some one who can get it fixed obviously
i recently got to drive a family members Lamborghini, and the transmission was an E-gear. it took me a little bit too get use to it. i had to be deliberate with the throttle and kind of use more pedal input to get it to fully engage.
What a man! basically being valet had a lot of risk, but the money that they've earn are not equal as the risk they've took.
when i got hired as a valet. i was scared to damage someones car i never did. but all my coworkers had atleast one write up. and crazy to think theyll hire you as long as you got a license and are fit to run. no need to know manual.
The Lambo is not manual, it is an semiautomatic clutch.
there isn't even a clutch pedal in the car. Even if there was, the valet was not driving in a way that would hurt the clutch
how do you engage the clutch with the car not having a clutch pedal?
Martin Karimipoor there isn't a clutch in the shifters
Payment for Valet or Risk of Lamborghini's Repair Cost? Is it so hard to decide which one?
Please tell me which one of you idiots see a gear shifter inside the car. Because I don't. Its just a shiftable automatic. There is a clutch but there's no way in hell the valet could have burned it out that quickly with the car engaging for him.
"it should be cool by the time he gets out here" fuckn man up to what you did
Dont drive a Car that isnt easy to drive to a event..Owner should know not to trust the Valet.
oh plz, that clutch was already fucked up by the "more money than brains" douche that owned it. that valet drove that car for a few seconds.
Sovereign420i Pretty sure they f*cked it up more. Most of the time if not all, the guys that are hired to do these things dont even know how to drive a manual right let alone a more complex clutch like this one. lol
Sovereign420i if you ever drove a stick before you would know it only takes a couple seconds to smoke a clutch
William Earhart sometimes it does. you get what you pay for usually. this is a outrageously expensive, if i can say insanely over priced, car. it should not have happened. yes, i own manuals. thats all i own and will ever own.
you can clearly see there are three buttons and no stick in the middle so it is semi auto e gear transmissions. how did he burn the clutch ?
What is the best way to revers in manual? Slip the clutch with idle engine? or just do use the clutch half way and give gas little by little?
To anyone who has driven a manual car, you know burning the clutch will take more than a reverse 50 feet drive.
BBA not true you can burn a clutch moving a tiny bit or not at all
assuming his foot isn't on the brake. Plus if this car doesn't have a manual clutch, he won't be able to feather it and burn it
BBA you originally said "To anyone who has driven a manual car" and I know because I seen people who are learning how to drive a manual car who add lots of gas and remain a bit below the grabbing point or on it which causes it to burn
If you really understood how a clutch works you'd realize that you can burn a clutch if you only move 5 feet. It's extreme, but if you bounce it of the limiter and engage the clutch 2% it'll get hot real quick and you're not gonna move all that far.
Jordan Hillard soooooo was I right?
He backed it up into the parking spot. First, Lamborghinis can easily back up. Second, this is an e-gear. I could understand him frying the manual by riding the SH*T out of the clutch, which he would have to if he didn't joyride it first. Like some sensible people said, regardless of power output on the standard V8, this clutch HAD to have experienced tremendous wear prior to this. The convenient thing for the owner is he can have insurance cover the upgraded clutch kit. E-gears have had bugs throughout their life anyway.
I agree.. no way that valet driver did that simply pulling out and backing up. UNLESS he had it at 8K RPM trolling 3 mph the whole time lmao. Which clearly he did not. Honestly, this video proves it wasn't the valets fault if the owner tryed to sue or w/e.
What kind of action causes the clutch to burn in an e-gear Lamborghini?
"I thought that was the break"
"Wheres the P?"
if your willing to let a valet park your lambo, you deserve whatever happens next.....:)
seriously. lol
Thats kinda like saying "If you let a surgeon work on your heart and you die, you deserve it."
correct me if im wrong (which i know you will), but the clutch is part of the transmission and it shouldn't be smoking. i dont think it can smoke. and the way the valet was driving wouldn't have burned the clutch anyway
Oh yeah clutches will start smoking and it's a very distinct smell. You'll know if you burn the clutch. I taught a few friends how to drive a stick in my WRX a few years ago. Usually people will freak out a little bit and not do things correctly which leads to the clutch burning. I don't think a clutch on an automatic can burn though or at least I've never seen or heard of it.
I had a problem with my manual transmission on my Audi S5, and it started to smoke when it wouldn't engage/disengage entirely when driving it hard - Lucky Audi had to replace the tranny under warranty
Clutch is not part of the trans, it joins the flywheel of the engine to the transmission input shaft. This happened because the Valet was holding the car in place on a hill by slipping the clutch and or slipping the clutch to slowly back up (slipping as in holding it at the engagement point but not letting it engage.) This will cause the smoke and eventually "glazing" the clutch (melting it smooth) which will cause it to slip in higher gears until the glaze wears off. Usually once the glazing has happens it only gets worse as its hard to drive a vehicle without your 3rd, 4th, 5th etc gears and or using half throttle. Usually a clutch doesn't burn from this type of abuse so quickly but I'm assuming they use a special material with extra friction as a clutch disc to keep clutch pedal light for the average driver while still having enough clamping force to hold the horsepower of the engine. So the extra friction plus the fact that the Valet was increasing the RPMs of the engine well beyond idle (2500+ RPM) led to the quick burning of the clutch. If he would have simply slowly and lightly got on the clutch enough to make the car move and let it glide with the clutch disengaged as many times as he needed to he would have saved the clutch and still been able to backup slowly. He was probably dragging the brakes too. Just nervous and in a hurry..
You can make a clutch burn and smoke. Easily. There is a guy on here burning up and destroying his clutch thinking hes doing a burnout.
TheShank6666
I'll say this once... NO CLUTCH will give out in that amount of time unless he was revving sky high for an extensive amount of time. I've taught way too many people to drive manuals to know a clutch isn't going to go like that unless it was already on it's last stand to begin with.
Man after watching the whole Video this car has an unorthodox manual trans. There isn't a pedal to slip the clutch mate. it's all press a button into 1,2,3,4 ,5 6... This man's car was already toast.
The clutches in the Gallardo with E-Gear transmissions are extremely prone to wear, most have to be replaced less than every 10k miles
Noon question but is it possible he didnt disengage the e brake. I know it's a auto but in that car even when you park it lamborghini tells you to keep the ebrake up. Could that be what's burning. You can hear a grinding after he turns off the camera. It sounds like the car is being restricted to go backwards? Just a thought.
that must have been a pretty shit clutch it it broke during that transfer.
I wanted to see the reaction of the Lambo owner. :/
Justin Perry
His job IS to park cars, no matter the make or model, that's the point of being VALET, you aint out racin em...moron!
If you think you have to ride ANY clutch to get a car moving, you shouldn't be drivin it. Cant drive it, stay out of it!
He probably would have back handed his ass really hard if he would have witnessed the engine smoking.
I've never had a car with e gear, but how exactly do you do that with an e gear car? I Know how it can be done to a full on manual car but not something seemingly idiot proof
That guy was riding the clutch the whole 90 seconds he was stopped in that street. So hard.
Thats what happens when you let someone who gets paid $8 an hour park your $300,000 car
Correction: That's what happens when the owner of a $200,000 car doesnt know how to drive it properly.
you forgot the mark ups bro
Worn clutch from racing so other parts may be worn. It's not even worth 100.
Year, mileage etc.
i doubt you're getting paid 8/hr to park exotics...lol
I know a guy who works for a 5 star restaurant and they make $8 but they get more in tips. they drive lambos and ferraris everyday
I would never valet a car like that....not that I'll ever have one lol
Night Rider you might. Don't put yourself down.
*Night Rider* And with an attitude like that you probably never will.
There’s two types of people in this world
Guys guys even though its an automatic, it's an E Gear, and that means it only has one clutch, yes you can burn the clutch on an automatic too, problem is that he drives too slow backwards and if you put your foot on the brake while still in first gear it is still wearing on your clutch so put it in neutral when you stand still.
What's a clutch and how do you destroy it? Is there a clutch on the new Huracans also?
love the reliability .so much money spent on testing . yet the clutch doesn't work.
What did he do to burn the clutch? I didn't notice, lol.
i'm thinking the same thing
Let's just say that a Lamborghini is not to be treated as a regular car in terms of showing off your driving "skills"...
***** you shouldnt drive it slowly backwards up a hill
AresKrl Let's just say you said something without actually saying anything.
How did valet destroyed clutch?
its E gear, how do you burn the cluch? seems like it wasn't really the valets fault and caused by the car.
If he did that to my Porsche I would knock his block off
But first you need a Porsche ;)
***** That's not true. You can get a porsche for cheap these days
.
That clutch was burned out long time ago. Even if you're a horrible driver that never drove a stick, it would take weeks or months to burn a clutch. Not just to park it. He just finished the job lol
And that's why I drive an automatic Corolla
Only clutches in extremely high powered (torqued) cars are hard, and break easily. The thing is : if you can afford such a car, 2000 euro to replace a clutch (all inclusive) is change money anyway. But, you're entitled to drive auto, if you can think you will burn a clutch on a 100 HP car. You can, but you have to be a massive dick to do so.
***** Lolllllll
Jerry your most must be a corolla lover!
In Woner Just because you own a nice car, doesn't mean you're rich. I've seen people save for 30 years to get a car
That's why you don't get laid
All I want to know is, how does one burn the clutch on an E-gear transmission with no clutch pedal? How would one avoid doing so?
its probz been driven hard and the clutch is probably badly worn from hard use also the e-gear has been known to burn the clutch while reversing up a hill
I used to valet and we had supercars come in every now and then. I was always scared to drive them because of things like this.
Valet didn't do anything, I feel bad for the guy because he might've thought he did something. He didn't. The guy who owns it possibly knew the clutch was messed up anyways, plus he might've launched it too many times without letting it cool down like others have said lol
guys but thats odd cuz he didnt rev the shit out of it.... so the clutch shouldnt be used so much... it wasnt under stress...
he wasn't pushing the clutch all the way in , so it was rubbing
Max Preston
Clutches are made to rub? How the fuck do you think you pull off? If you have a paddle clutch then the only way your going to be able to pull off in traffic is 4,000RPM+. If clutches didn't rub you'd constantly be revving the shyte out of it to get it to slip more.
why are you so mad dude?
I'm not it's just the way I fucking type :)
Max Preston Actually he wasn't pushing in the clutch at all as this car has two pedals.
clutch or parking brake? You can hear the brakes squeak when he pulls back
What car are you driving?
Meh. By time Mr. and Mrs. Rich have finished eaten' ribs and swillin' wine and licked the last of the grease and BBQ sauce from their fingers, the clutch will have cooled down and nobody will be the wiser. I bet there's boogers and dandruff in the creases of the upholstery.
butlerproman LOL !!
That's an automatic
It's a 6 speed gated.
SOSA Sorry, but you're wrong dude.1:26 it's semi-automatic, not a manual.
It is a 6 Speed gated. I own the exact model.
bikadur1 no you dont lmao that gallardo is a semi auto i was wrong.
bikadur1 Haha!! Well then you can afford to buy new glasses, for your blind ass. Fool.
how do you burn the clutch on an e-gear? and when he drove off the driveway into the street I cringed.
The clutch is smoking? Your brain is smoking.
should hotel owners be giving jobs to people that actually know how to handle these expensive cars?
Chances are that most people that do aren't looking for $8 an hour valet jobs.
i use to be a valet.. got 8 dollars and hour for it. i didnt care if i messed up anyones car (which i didnt) but i drove every sports car like i stole it until the day i left... 3 years later.
Wow blames it on a can
Not sure about these guys but when I was a valet I totally backed Gallardos uphill with e-gear. No smoke, no nothing.
Guy's fired.
lmao its a fucking auto theres no stick in it
What's your point?
+Blake Toomay how can he destroy the clutch then when its a auto duhhh
+General Jackass You must be kidding me. An autocar usually has two clutches rofl
+ron4nSTAR lol really read the titile idiot valet destroys clutch its a auto so did he take the car apart destroyed the clutch you never driven a automatic car and have no clue about car now thats rofl
+General Jackass this isn't even funny. Just stupid.
Lamborghinis are bulky and unreliable. If you've ever seen these cars from start to finish of a tour, you'd be able to make a list of what mechanical malfunctions happened between point A and point B. They look cool and have a name to back them. That's about it.
Looks like an insurance scam. First, no valet is driving my multimillion dollar hyper-car. Second, it takes more to burn a clutch than driving low rev parking maneuvers for such a short time and distance. I doubt insurance of the Valet paid this.
I love the smell of a burning clutch first thing in the morning.
This is why you shouldn't buy cars with automatic transmission.
Should*
No. Manual is way more fun. If you are a competent driver this will not happen.
Daniel Blackstock You're an 18 year old kid. Shut the hell up about "competent driver", go bullshit your mates with that garbage.
I drive a manual and have no issues at all. And what does being young have to do with anything? I'm a much better driver than a lot of people in this country, which isn't saying much obviously.
+Handsome Devil Its a sequential gearbox, not really automatic. This has double clutch while regular automatic traditionally has a converter and converters are impossible to smoke. And the Lambo isnt destroyed, its not uncommon to smoke some clutch on them and it doesnt mean they are totalled. For example many Ferraris with similar gearbox smoke clutch when doing uphills takeoffs, they work just fine still, and when the clutches are too much worn after some years a warning light/displaytext will tell you (unfortunately some will not drive untill the clutches are changed or the warning is reset with special computer equipment).
nice clickbait
I think that clutch was going long before the valet got in it. Did you hear the metallic whine when he was backing it up? That clutch was already destroying itself.
What super cars do u own speed racer ?
Great around a track or in open country, absolutley shite around towns and a city.
I don't like valet parking at all. Period. I don't even own an expensive car.
e-gear has a clutch. in fact it has the same clutch, bellhousing, gear ratios, etc. as the manual, except it has electrohydraulic pumps that operate the clutch rather than foot pedal
i always wanted to be a valet at a high end hotel or restaurant but i'm so scared i'd crash the cars and get fired
First of all the dude looks like hes coked up lol... secondly, there is no automatic per say, its the formula 1 style shifter on the steering wheel which pretty much all super cars are switching to so I have no idea what this dude did wrong. There is a reverse button you press and the car is in reverse with no clutch to press in.
Finally someone with some sense. The car works exactly as described here. Unless you have driven a lambo you wouldn't know this. The paddles on the steering wheel are all you get so it literally drives like an automatic and you just shift the gears up/down by pushing the paddles.
The reverse gear is a button on the center console and is absolutely no different than putting an automatic car in reverse and accelerating. Whatever was smoking up, was from something else, not from anything the valet did but I suppose it's easier to hate when ignorance follows ignorance.
Those paddles are a crime "oh it's still manual...." my fucking ass it's still a manual. all your doing is telling a computer when you want to shift, what's the fun in that?
Travis Adams It's actually a lot faster than your normal stick shift if you're racing which can make a big difference between that extra second to win a race.
That being said however I agree with you wholeheartedly. It is quicker but every time I see one, I wish it had the good old manual gearbox. I like to drive the car and those paddles just don't do it for me.
btw have you ever seen a stick shift with no clutch pedal ? Those are one hell of a laugh to drive until you get used to them. You basically change gears but there's no clutch pedal to press. Yet every time I change gears my foot still performs the action even though there's nothing there. It's hilarious and aggravating all at the same time..hehe
Acutally it's probably a manual since he was able to screw up the clutch. You can get a Lamborghini gallardo in manual
MATT! Thats what I was just thinking!!!!
It's a little silly that a super car's clutch is so less robust than the ones found on standard cars. Super cars really are toys for people who have a lot of money to waste lol. You're certainly not buying reliability or quality. The hardest thing to absorb in all of this is that these lambos are made by VW.
i think you're forgetting. that little clutch is having to transmit 500+ ft/bs of torque to all 4 wheels, whilst a normal car has to deliver only 100-300 to usually two driven wheels, depending on the car of course.
TheLeafySpring I was aware that the stress those parts are subjected to are much higher. I am aware that, if you put a lambo's clutch in a VW beetle, that it will last even longer than the beetle's stock clutch but I meant the comparison proportionally speaking (whole package vs whole package in terms of robustness) in other words, I was saying the clutch is under engineered to it's job, unlike what happens with the VW beetle, for instance.) If they can't make parts that can cope with them within reasonable limits then why engineer the rest of the car to those specs? Why not go a little lower in power but have a clutch that won't tear itself apart at the slightest miss-handling?
The same is saying, some tankers have a 50,000 HP engine. If you cut down to 10,000 HP, that's still a whole lot more than a car, but, as a tanker, it really sucks, because it's under-engineered and doesn't meet the requirements that it should to do it's job without issues. There are lighter boats with much less powerful engines which work better and, the fact that this engine is still more powerful than the one on those smaller boats, is no excuse for the fact that it's not up to standard, imo.
I accept that there are physical/material impossibilities at hand but, if you can't make the parts work in a robust way, the only solution is possibly just to lower the specs.
euheide I completely agree with you, super car's are not reliable ...they really are toys which are poorly put together and really overpriced.
unzunzvroom I don't know if that's the case with every super car but it's not the first time I've heard of a burned clutch. I've heard that you also have to be super careful with clutches on Ferraris for instance heheh. Maybe it's mainly a clutch problem :)
Quannix Rainbowaxe Keep in mind that, to demand a reasonable reliability (a minimum limit for reliability) is not the same as buying something for its reliability. These are two totally different concepts. If I want to buy something for its reliability, I'd go with a toyota or something like that, but even when you're not especially after reliability, when you're buying a car that's outrageously priced, you should have, at least, a product with a minimum standard for reliability. In other words, it should not have its clutch burned when an ordinary person tries to drive it :)
How did he bust it up? All he did was drive forward and reverse?
Dat rolls Royce in da back
