    Noticed you didn't say anything about just running faster than your defender. It's a good one

    This video gave me some really great insights. I especially loved the commentary about timing your cuts and making sure you have enough room to actually make the cut. I hope you do more videos like this!

  • @RareEarth70

    Space and timing are so key! I generally tell newer players that changing speed and direction (timed with when the thrower will be ready) will almost always get you open even if you aren’t super speedy. Of course, doing that correctly and consistently is what separates players like me from players like you! 😂😂

    This video was fantastic! How did you get into the league you are in?! I’ve been playing and have been playing ultimate frisbee for a few years now and have a group chat of close to 100 people. We get to play every once or twice a month! Ever since the first time I played ultimate frisbee I’ve been in love with it! Thank you for your videos! God bless!

    interesting terminology about the 'defensive pivot' @3:16, but i feel like this is just a series of drop steps into a shuffle? Is there a difference?

    i'm new to ultimate, question: can you call a travel on 5:46?

    • @squidge903
      @squidge903 Год назад

      Not really. She slows down, doesn't change direction after catching the disc, and her left is her pivot. There's maybe a bit of dragging or lifting, but it's really hard to argue, I think, that she's gained any kind of advantage from the drag/lift there.

    Doesn't USAU used the 'Contact' rule now too? Where, when you have the disc, instead of calling a Foul and stopping play, you can call Contact which is a foul with a count drop to zero and no stoppage of play...?
