Back in the basement with something completely out of the budget and space but I’m watching the complete video regardless. Great content as usual Brandon!
@@BasementBrandon no need to ever apologize for buying / obtaining gear you ACTUALLY want and use. If I was in your shoes I would totally try (and likely fail because of lack of interior design skills) to mimic your setup 100%
These look cool! The upkeep on buffing out fingerprints would drive me nuts though. If I ever get a full set of dumbbells, I’d go for a pro-style with the multiple pancake plates. I love that almost mini-barbell type look.
Yeah those classic ivankos! I've hemmed and hawed about "upgrading" my current set to something more custom (with branding). But at the end of the day it would cost me a few thousand dollars and for what? Just to see my logo? Can't commit to that lol.
Are you planning on doing a video on the Beyond Power Voltra 1? I've heard that you like them but would love a more detailed video on how you've been using them in your training!
I live in South East Asia, and my gym is basically only using XMaster machines, dumbbells and barbells (they're the sole importer I believe). Good quality stuff, though some machines don't have perfect ergonomics/adjustments. Knurling on some machines would make Coop orgasm though.
My God, definitely would not buy these after seeing the workers throw them around like bags of sugar. They scratched every one up that they handled. Bet XMaster didn't want you to show that video of the workers. Good Honest video as always Love your Honesty
Nope, too expensive People aint buying REP's 5-100 lb. set much less this one unless they buy in increments or they are getting a discount like influencers get, just aint happening because then you have to buy a stand for them so yoyre looking at 8K for REPS to your door and 10K to your door for these chromes. Nobody is doing that because if their rich their going higher end than REP and most rich people dont lift. Colleges, Pro Teams, Hospitals and hat the clientele for these not ordinary people
I think urethane sets like REP are actually quite popular in home gyms. The biggest barrier is obviously cost and floor space, but if you have that, which I think a lot of people who watch RUclips videos on equipment do, it may still be a good investment.
@@BasementBrandon Most home gym owners are not rich. Most gym owners I see has the basic rubber head dumbbell like Gluck has. Urethanes are for better off people or influencers who got deal on them, I've never seen urethane except for influencers who get given to them or got discount or make money from having them and never seen urethane in home gym in person
Hey Brandon, I did get a pair of 5lbs Watson dbs with my set. I believe they don't show it on the website because most people dont ask for it or because they cannot do them in revolving handles, but they do offer it if you ask for it. I got the 5-50lbs in 5lb increments and 60-150lbs in 10lbs increments and all of them will have 35mm fixed handle. They are just not able to do a rotating handle with a 5 lb dumbbell. The lightest they could do is a 7.5lbs due to the extra components used.
Xmaster and xhamster are a common typo
Even when you search xmaster you get a lot of xhamster hits due to popularity. The algorithm knows what you really need 😅
@@BasementBrandonJoey swolls going to pop up and say you need to do better

I think the 5 pounders cute. I like the logo and Xmaster name, some of the weight plates look really cool too!
Yeah their chrome machined plates are really nice!
Looks like they’re throwbacks to spandex bunnies on the 20 minute workout.

Yes, but it will prob be more just impressions and what I like/dislike. There's way too much to dive into on that one.
Nice looking, but the upkeep up finger prints would drive me insane! 😆Urethane for me, if i'm going with a set of fixed DBs.
buy my AB set!
Lucky for me I rarely use DBs, let alone 25lbs or under 🤡
I have been in contact with them about their barbells.
Nice! I have plates, dbs and their mug. Very nice quality overall

I'll show you XMaster!
Bow chica wow wow

Love your Honesty
They seem pretty responsive so should be an easy fix on their end if they see fit.
I like how compact these would be at weights above 100lb.
Good call. You can see there's a big difference even between the 25s here and REPs
You fancy
We'll get you buying more gym equipment soon now that @garagegymjunkies will be your neighbor.
You should look at the shaft of the 100 pounders....
Gorilla grip...
I do every time I go to the bathroom.
Watson offers a 5lb starting dumbbell. My wife would have cut my gibblies off if I didn’t have it. 😂
Perfect for your tricep kickbacks!

Awesome, thanks for the insight. Shoulda asked you first!
Yeah ask Jose. 😂 So he can ask me.
My takeaway from this video: You'd rather have a thinner shaft than a smaller head. Got it. 😅
More head the better my dad always said.

Droppable?
Similar to any other fixed DB.
If money is no object. Master or Watson ?
What Sherlock Holmes novel is this from?
If money is no object there are a lot more brands to consider. But between those 2 I'd prob go Watson for the rotating handles and customization.
Watsons are more than double the cost of these so hard to compare!
