I know you've gone out of your way to make a disclaimer about how Furina's C6 has affected your view on Kinich's best teammates, but it still feels like it's heavily influenced your opinion this time around. If you haven't played a C0 Furina in a while, she's solid here but the inconsistent pyro auras (either from Dehya/Thoma being slow or XL missing) lead to missing vapes, you're team is a good bit more fragile due to the health drain and the occasional burning damage, and you don't get much in the way of fanfare stacks. She's good, because Furina is almost always good, but Emilie + sac Dehya/Thoma definitely feels better because you're getting about the same power (at C0R0) plus you're getting defensive utility for smooth runs. It's a lot easier to burst on both Kinich and Emilie too since they battery each other. Plus you get to save Furina for a team where she more clearly has a big impact at modest investment. But yeah, Kinich is fun, I always look forward to your takes
Yea. I genuinely like most of his takes but he has somewhat disconnected from what C0 furina plays like. That said, More and more ppl are/will pull her cons though. so his takes do reflect a decent amount of ppl’s experience.
The biggest issue with both kinich & mualani is almost being forced to use xiangling & I just can't take this suffering anymore, please release mavuika soon 😭
Nahida/Emelie with Dehya is a better performing team. Relying on pyro aura that’s behind a 80 burst cost is less consistent than using burning as your pyro aura enabler who’s application is E based, not Q.
IMO, Xiangling is less obligatory for Kinich than for Emilie, and legitimately so. Kinich can often move too out of enemy range that Xiangling pyronado can't reach, and she needs a ton of energy and on an unconventional set on her (deepwood) that doesn't work in her favor in any way. Thoma and Dehya offer a ton more utility and interact with Kinich's swinging far better as it works off a stationary point or aimed directly in front of the character. Dehya is more viable with deepwood than Xiangling. Bennett is also quite overrated for Kinich since his tether playstyle works against Bennett circle impact and especially when enemies move around which causes Kinich to lose tether unless moved with enemy.
Kinich needs Pyro Fischl, like Xangling is fine but when you try Dehya with Kinich, you won't even feel bad moving around since Dehya applies Pyro on the enemies and have bigger range despite of slow pyro app while Xiangling's Pyronado really requires Kinich to hug the enemies.
Easy resolution to this is Lynette. Her bogglecat box ult has a radius almost as wide as Emilie's and Lynette will give minimum 16% atk, and can carry deepwood since you won't have any significant dps contribution from pyro characters. Lynette will also do the enemy AI manipulation for you with her taunt that is indestructible for its duration. I do recommend that Lynette be at C2 which should increase her deepwood set application and the pyro application. You DO NOT need to Lynette ult within Bennett ult since Lynette's ult can absorb elements from your character attacks so Lynette can absorb pyro after being hit with Bennett ult. So Lynette c2 for more pyro application. Then having her C4 would help a lot with her ER reqs as it gives her another charge of her E, so 8 anemo particles instead of 4 would she give herself. I found Kinich/Lynette/Bennett/flex to be a pretty suitable team. Flex can be Emilie, Yaoyao if you don't have her [Yaoyao can give 15% dendro dmg bonus from c1, 20% atk with Tenacity, 16% atk from moonpiercer), Xiangling (Emblem or other), Zhongli, or a cryo support.
Same i kinda regret blowing my pity when trying to get c6 Chevreuse, but after playing with him a few days i got so much fun, now he's my main and alr got him C2
Basically speaking, move counterclockwise when pyronado is in contact with the enemy hitbox for it to linger a bit longer (and especially if the enemy has large enough hitbox), and move clockwise after it no longer hit to sync up with pyronado and speed up the time needed for the next hit to occur around the circumference.
Its funny that everyone was saying Mualani was clunky while praising Kinich when on my end Mualani is just plain fun to use and Kinich here was downright disorienting, dude made me dizzy lol. Good luck to you guys but im saving for Xilonen instead.
this. I’m glad we got to play mualani so much during the story because her combat was unbearable for me and ultimately influenced my decision not to pull for her, even though I love her character in the story.
Funny, because I felt the exact opposite. To me, sure Mualani sometimes misses her normal attack and that's a big hit to her DPR, but it doesn't happen enough to be more than a minor inconvenience to me and I'm not try hard enough to reset every time it happens. And it doesn't really detract from my enjoyment But Kinich to me felt almost unplayable, I hate how clumsily the camera moves with him and that he doesn't change direction quickly so you have to hold the button and there's a delay before he does it. It kinda just feels like I'm getting jerked around instead of controlling the character, and considering how I was already iffy about Wrio slinging around from enemy to enemy with his normals, it made gameplay really uncomfortable for me. I can definitely see how his gameplay can be polarizing. I'm glad there's a lot of people loving it though
@@AkiraN19 it’s all relative to the person of course. Like if I’ve being honest, arlecchino made every character I got after her feel clunky, but I also understand genshin can’t just make every character’s rotation just spamming normal attacks until they’re dead 😂
I think they're relatively similar in clunkiness. Sometimes, Kinich just uses nightsoul transmission in abyss, like if too far from enemy to be registered as in combat, and the swinging can cause motion sickness. A majority of Mualani's clunkiness is trajectory and interaction with puffers. She has more free motion, but at the expense of widening distance between her and the puffers she should collect in the situations with scattered or moving enemies. There is also the issue with trajectory with shark missiles, where they apparently spawn in the sky, making them unable to hit enemies in caves as the missiles are treated as tangible projectiles, thus blocked by Zhongli pillars or other obstacles. And the main issue is the input delay between the Normal attack button and the actual shark bite, as its like 1 second of the shark flip animation. That 1 second is 1 second that the enemy can move out of hit detection range. Mualani's shark bite just needs the tracking that Kinich's scalespiker cannon has. Kinich has a clunky interaction with Xiangling where he slowly distances himself from enemies as he swings, and in dodging through dashing, he can reattach to the wrong enemy. He can also tether to invulnerable enemies which is an issue and he suffers camera pointing issues on uneven terrain or when enemies teleport or fly. He has more visual-type clunkiness whereas Mualani is practical use clunkiness.
Kinich is definitely very fun to play for me in long time. He is so much fun, I love his playstyle. I would never regret pulling him, no matter where he ends up in meta.
The most fun I had with a char like this was nilou. And he felt like a fresh air. Also he made me want to exlpore even outside of natlan. Im quite amazed
