Wow. J.G. Bennett. Another hero of human potential in the 20th century. We are in his debt for the transmission of Gurdieff's Fourth Way lineage.

Of all the 4th wayers I liked Bennett the best. Willing to try new things and a brilliant mind.....for what it was worth...

Met JGB in 1963 at Coombe Springs, England. Great and direct communicator of the Gurdjieff teachings.

Hello Sir, the fourth way of Gurdjieff, which is taught later by his students like Quspensky, George Bennett, Jeanne de Salzmann, and many others...... Is there really a possibility to achieve this higher mental and emotional state of our system, which is mentioned as "Superpotential", can you say something about that ? What I read in the book of Colin Wilson: "The war against sleep: The philosophy of Gurdjieff", at the end of his life, Bennett sought other ways for his transformation process, also of an Indonesian master which surprised me.......Can the fourth way only be taught from the master to the students, also, a kind of energy which is given (Baraqa) to the aspirant by this way, is that correct ?Where do you see the fourth way among other spiritual ways, is the human being not conscious enough to use this tool, where is the problem and what about the knowledge of the Sarmoung Brotherhood in central asia ? I think Gurdjieff gave us a powerful key which was not understood by the community, I would like to hear your opinions and experiences about this field.

He sat with the old Sufi Masters, in old Istanbul, who appear like the last men in an ancient tradition. I'm reading one of his translations from Turkish: Masters of Wisdom of Central Asia, written by his friend, Hassan Shushud.

Why is the fourth way not known like the other spiritual ways, and is there really a possibility to achieve the higher mental and emotional state of our system, which is mentioned as "Superpotential" ?Can the fourth way only be taught by a teacher to the aspirant, also the energy (Baraqa) which is given from the master to the truth seekers ? Which experiences can you share with us ?
P.S. Are there any mystery schools like in the ancient times, today ?🙏

Thank you Ian Scott. Lovely to see Mr.B… I’ve just shared this on FaceBook, with this comment.
‘Part of the conversation Mr. Bennett & Diane Celento from the film made at Sherborne (glos) in ‘73. Much of interest is mentioned, but I have often wondered if the instability & mental illness which is rife, is caused by children with super potential in a ‘wrong’ education system & bombarded with negative stimulus…. I feel that part of our Work of Serving the future is to contribute to the creation of a safe ‘Collective Body’.’

Thank you Heather. You are right. I have many students with "mental illness" caused by a totally cartesian mind based educational system. I am lucky that I can unleash their inner potential somewhat.

And Fripp's album called Exposure. I saw The League of Gentlemen perform in London after hearing them do a live session on John Peel's radio show.

Very likely through Fripp's influence, David Sylvian uses JGB's voice on his beautiful piece called 'Upon this Earth' from his album Gone to Earth. It's beautiful.
