- EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley HomeStore are teaming up every week to bring you some good news during Feel Good Friday!
We want to thank people in our community with random acts of kindness and leave you feeling good.
Recently we received an email about two brothers who helped a woman stranded in Idaho Falls. Part of the message read:
On April 11, Chris Christensen stopped to help a stranded lady on Yellowstone Highway between Shelley and Idaho Falls. She had stayed there all night without a blanket or even a coat. She wasn’t parked in a manner that appeared like she was in distress…She thought she could turn the heater on to stay warm but the truck was dead.
Chris actually stopped to meet his wife as she headed out to a 12 hour shift at the hospital. After he stopped behind the truck, he got out with his 11 year old son to wait so his wife could see them. Next thing he knew he was being asked if he had a phone charger. The woman came out of the truck that had been there overnight through freezing temperatures. She was cold and hungry.
He felt bad that she wasn’t discovered sooner. He was going to go home to get a tow strap and his truck to tow her into a shop in Idaho Falls. She didn’t seem to know how to be towed so he called his brother, Flint Christensen, to help him get her truck to the shop. Luckily Flint just happened to be home from driving essential supplies across the country, and happened to be in possession of an F 350 and happened to have a car hauler trailer that happened to have a winch.
He had no idea what to do with her after he got her to a shop that would still be closed for 36 more hours. So, he trailered her truck, got her some food and drove her all the way back to Alpine Wyoming. Everything took six hours.
It was miracle that for some reason Chris stopped at that very spot to meet his wife, that Flint just happened to be home from driving and happened to have the very stuff that they needed to get her home safe. They would never toot their own horns but I think what they did should be shared to show how many great people are in our community and in this world.
We decided to thank Chris and Flint for Feel Good Friday. Chris runs a windshield glass repair company so we made an appointment for him to inspect one of our cars - little did he know he would be getting surprised!
Watch the video above to see what happened.

I was stranded on the interstate highway, driving home from work at night. Walked to a rest stop, young lady came into restroom where I was out of the cold. She let me use her phone, but I couldn’t get thru to family. Then she helped me by getting a tow truck, took me to my car and paid for me to get home. An angel from a Detroit suburb in Michigan. I will never forget her kindness.
Awwwwwwww 😊
These gentlemen show what a true american is. Go bless them.
Don't have to be American to be a decent human being.
@@SkinPeeleR ... Yet Many Americans Are 👍⁉️😉
@@SkinPeeleR No one said you did. Triggered much?
Some hero's just don't need capes
Bless both these brothers and the proud parents that raised them!
@Barbara Ballard
I love what you said, 'Some hero's just don't wear capes'. There aren't, in my humble opinion, any better words to describe him. Thx.
Why do people always say the same thing? Honestly sick of hearing 'some hero's just don't need capes'
Heroes..
@@harrycoffey9427 I guess when we just naturally treat each other like these bros do, we can stop saying it.
I like comedian Brian Regan's bit about Sully Sullenberger and how people expect modesty from heroes:
"He's a hero ... 'cause he don't *think* he's a hero!"
They need ‘e’s.
The World needs more people like these two Guys . Humanity at its best.
You can be like these brothers. You probably already are without realising it. You recognised it, so you probably pay it forward without even thinking. You are a decent man and I bet you hold doors open for mums pushing prams, or old people with walkers.
Why Loving Your Neighbor Is Important
And less libtards
Thank you guys for stopping to help. Its really risky to stop these days. But I always believe it's worth the risk. The only time I look down at someone it's to put a hand out to help them up.
Amazingly, he thought nothing of it, and was surprised that you did! There is good in the world!
Theres a lot of good in this world. Sadly most news agencies and social media platforms only push content that gets people angry because videos and stories that cause anger get more clicks. It leads one to think that there is more negative in this world than positive. I don't believe thats true at all.
@@TruthIsTheNewHate84 well put wow
This guy makes you feel like you want to move to this community. Good people and common sense.
Angels walk among us. They are at their best when the world is at its worst. Bless you Chris!
Faith in humanity, restored
Now that dude and his brother are salt of the earth.
Thank you for being a beacon of positivity. So proud of Idaho! 💕
🌷
There are so many great human beings on this Earth, it's nice to see them being recognized.
Thank God for ppl that still believe in Human Kindness😘😘😘
Thank you, East Idaho News for sharing that and taking it upon yourselves to treat the brothers to dinner and movies. To the brothers, GOD bless you both. You are fine young men!
Wow. How can you not like this guy? I want to be his buddy.
Great to know good people are still around.
I'm a kiwi wondering who wouldn't stop to help someone in need !! And why it's so unusual for people to help each other that it makes the news !!.
It’s not unusual. At least, I hope not. This is a segment to recognize people who have done a good deed and aren’t seeking recognition. Hopefully it will inspire others.
I love that these people do good recognising peoples good deeds. This video gives me hope that there are still good people in the world.
This really goes to show how wonderful it is to be "kind". ! Love this story.
Didn't want any acknowledgement. He truly did from the heart. Real people.
I always feel humbled when I see these videos. Merry Christmas and bless you all :-)
I think East Idaho News, Nate Eaton and whom ever is supporting this is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. God Bless all involved. Thank you for such inspiration and know someone in Texas IS inspired by you'll.
There are good people on this earth. 99.9 % of them
This is wonderful, and God bless them all, they are very decent people. However, this made me think of the homeless we pass everyday, who are always cold and hungry 😢😢
Wish there were more true men like this man and his brother!! So cool they really went that extra for this lady who was stranded with no hope until his generous spirit showed up. Loved this story.
When you see these stories you realize there's hope for humanity. Beautiful people🌹🌹
Thank you Nate , for this heartwarming story. I do offer a correction, you said the community, but in fact you reach the country if not the world with your reporting. I’m in Kentucky and I watch all your feel Good Friday segments and all your Christmas secret Santa stories. In fact that’s how I found you, during Christmas 2 years ago. You’re a blessing. 🦋
Reaching the UK, loud & clear. ♥️👏👍
It's soo great to see that he reaches the whole world 🌎 Merry Christmas everyone 🎅 from Oklahoma, USA🎄
Watching from Massachusetts!! Love feel Good Friday and always looking forward to secret Santa
Hearing you guys from Brisbane Australia too.
This is the America that exists outside of the newscasts and politics of the day. It is we, the citizens, who make this country great.
2 guys that make Americans proud. Well done fellas
That's the kind of people we need more of in this world. These are rare, genuine people you don't see them often. And when you do come across them they are humble and would want someone to come to their rescue.
I'm glad he helped the lady to get back home safely with there help. I'm glad she made it home with the help of the brothers and they made sure she ate.
God bless and keep you both and going out of your way to make sure she was safe from the cold.
These brothers were angels that came to her rescue. Be bless and stay safe.
God bless them.
Wow! Thanks for asking that woman those further questions. If not for you, I don’t know if she would still be there!
Thank you, Nate! I love to see these stories of the kindness of everyday people.
I wonder why someone would downvote a story like this. People doing the right thing must really bother him or her.
Probably just trolls. The best treatment for trolls is to just ignore them.
Antifa
@@robertmason7553 You're ridiculous
I honestly think a majority are accidental. I've noticed that even I've done that on a few videos and had to quickly change it 👍. Not all can be accidental, but some are.
@@lexielynn03 You didnt mean that lol.
There’s no such thing as a coincidence (in my opinion). With Mother’s Day having past, it shows a great upbringing their mother (and father) did.
Geeze, what wonderful people! It could be really scary to have a man that size hook your car up to a tow truck and go with him!!!!! But..... it could also feel like angels came to help! Supper and all the way back to her home, just amazing! Love to you all!
Ya know, "Aw shucks" never gets old...
Awesome! Kindness is still in the world. Thank you for sharing this story. 😀❤️❤️
Good hearted people...
*Amazing!* 💕
Amazing story!

This is such a heartwarming story in these Corona stricken times! Thank you to the brothers for their selfless help! Nate, you are my favourite reporter on US news!

Can we nominate Nate for Feel Good Fridays? lol He certainly deserves it. Thanks for all that you do, Nate.
These Men are the ones that should be the role models of their Community! Real people doing the right thing, and may I add in the absolute proper way. Bless you both.
I love these videos and this channel. I cannot believe Idaho is this wonderful. I wanna leave NY so badly. I feel like the people of Idaho are most friendliest people in the country.

I just loved this! Glad there are still people in the world like these two quality human beings. Also, I loved that he was driving to spend a few minutes with his wife who was working a 12 hour shift. Bravo.
I love people who take care of people!
is a good thing👌
If YOU like this, just do it ! 🙏
Best part ? NO gov't involved, one person to another, as it SHOULD be
Really? That’s what you think the best part is? I’d say the best part was the kindness and love shown to another person. But maybe that’s just me. 🤷♀️
@@debfox LOL, okay, I stand corrected. The SECOND best part, there, fixed !!
Much better... I get it. We see the world through our lens. Sometimes I think we miss the most important things, myself included!
@@debfox Please don't tell my wife a WOMAN corrected me, I'll never hear the END of THAT
@@tooge47 But the government does have an organization that does such things as this. They take $200,000,000 of your tax dollars, buy a couple of trucks to run up & down the highway for an annual cost of about $250,000 and the politicians pocket the rest calling it “administration costs”. By the way, I like it better when the politicians keep out of our lives and allow us the freedom to help each other.
I don't believe in coincidences. I believe God lead Chris and Flint there to help the lady. God bless them both
I live in billings mt there are awesome people in Idaho too thanks for everything you do
Great story well done I witnessed so much of this kindness a few years ago when I travelled across the USA.
