I was dancing to Tchaikovsky's "Waltz of the Flowers" with my girlfriend, (whom adores classical and jazz music) and she said "You know, this is the part of a romance movie where the guy says he loves the girl." I had the hugest grin in my face. Thats why I love classical music. It helps bring out emotion!!!

now ,this is music, up until the late 20th century and early 21st century music started not to be of passion but of soulless greed and a of a popularity contest of which artist has the most money rather to express your feeling and actually show emotion in your music , long live the classical period of music !

This is absolutely glorius music that is, always was, and remains awesome! It behooves us to compose stuff like this today!!
It's amazing that you have collected these two composers' waltzes. The two of them are some of the great waltz writers of all time. Strauss's waltzes are usually more symmetrical whereas Tchaikovsky sometime disobeyed the "rules". For example his waltz from the 6th symphony is in 5/4. Tchaikovsky's orchestration is more intricate than not just Strauss but probably more intricate than any composer that has ever lived. In fact he is now the model of orchestration. Both are still amazing.

Forget twerking at clubs, I just wanna find a guy who I can Waltz with in a beautiful ballroom for hours...just lost in the music.

I never insinuated they were comparable. though they are, on the basis that: both are dance, both are enjoyed by many, both are paired to music, both occur in areas designed for dance, both are technically art. They are also quite different. one is old, one is new. For one a great deal more care and work was put into it, the other is pretty simple. Unfortunately romance and beauty are opinions so they hold no merit in your argument.
to conclude, maybe they aren't comparable, but what I said is still true: you think twerking is stupid, and the kinds of people who twerk probably aren't too fond of old school (over 400 years) dances and customs.
some people may like one, and some the other, and that's okay. neither of you are correct.
are we going to continue because I really don't enjoy these things.

I love Strauss. My favorite on this list is "Roses from the South". The first time I heard this particular song on a friend's car stereo I found it so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful music does that for me.
Way back when this gorgeous music was the popular music of the day, on a Saturday night in Vienna 50% of the population was out dancing.

Tchaikovsky is above all componists. His music trully genious and unpredictable like of all others componists. His music will never let you cold!!!
Tchaikovsky is by far my favorite. His waltzes make me want to dance in a ball gown with a prince. haha
