    One thing I notice about all these amazon dsp videos is that they never break down the the technical part of how to get rid of the packages. Here’s a lil help try to get minimum 20 packages per hour done once you put that in your head it become easy and less stressful it sort of like motivation. Also delivery jobs aren’t for everyone some people hate some don’t at first I hated it but once I put the 20 packages a hour in my head it became easy. Also don’t finish fast you have about 10-12 hours to get the job done use your time wisely you can make good money for for a amazon dsp just chose the right dsp even if you have to try out as manny as you can either try by giving it a week than quitting or feel the vibe from your dsp boss on the first day of interview it makes the job less stressful when you have a good dsp management trust me!

      But did you even take your 30 min lunch? I was with a DSP for a year & I would record how many stops I'd do per 30 mins. I'd average minimum 10+ & usually more inner city which averages 20 - 30 / hour.. Just because I'd take 15 mins before my first stop just to grab lunch my amazon chart was showing that I was delivering behind & it eventually got me fired because I refused to not to take a mini lunch. All they see is that I'm behind. The people who look at the chart do not notice the fact that I slap 20+ / hour once I begin my route & I don't stop killing. Important note is that it takes 1 hour just before we get to our first stop. Regardless I was fired I know I try my hardest to kill it & I run to every house lol.. I'm much faster with an unmarked van without a camera attached!

    It's crazy cause I work for a dsp that only had me on a ride along for one day and that was it. But damn u had no ride alongs at all? Crazy this job is a lot of work and a lot of stress. I know a lot of jobs are stressful but this forsure is a very stressful one. This is to anyone considering being an Amazon driver.

    I always ask how many stops per day , where they deliver, if they roll up the hours , what time they start and if they pay extra to do rescues. I’m doing about 190 stops per day and an average of 300+ packages per day. And yes I take all my breaks

  • @CharlieB3723
    @CharlieB3723 Год назад +3

    Unfortunately a lot of DSP’s will be economical with the truth as most are desperate for fresh drivers to replace the ones that have left due to the ridiculous workload Amazon force upon drivers.
    Usually you start off with low volume routes as a new driver but after about 2 weeks you will begin to understand how bad it’s going to be from that point.

    Hey my friend, you are doing an amazing job explaining things to people who are considering becoming an Amazon driver. But I have to say that, when I first started, the training was not very helpful. I basically learned everything on the fly. Hopefully, it's gotten better. Maybe it was the trainer that I had, just didn't know what he was talking about. Thank you for sharing, and please stay safe and healthy.😊

  • @bryanbenson7444
    @bryanbenson7444 Год назад +3

    I’ll enlighten some of y’all if y’all don’t know I am a dispatcher/lead and they do have specific people scheduled everyday. Those people are usually Step van drivers who have worked to where they are at currently. If they show up late they are not going to give up a step van route that easily due to the room the step vans allows. They are not gonna willingly give a regular van driver a step van route because of this. So if you are waiting to receive a route and another driver skips in front of you to grab a van it’s because they may be placed on a route that they will get done. New drivers are hard to trust because their pace is something that they have to work on.

    Hi there! I have an interview in 2 weeks for an Amazon delivery position and I was just wondering how easy or hard it may be to drive the Amazon vans? I’m concerned with switching lanes and not being able to see because you obviously don’t have windows in the back. In addition to using my mirrors, I also like to look behind right before I’m about to switch lanes

    • @amazondeliverydriver
      @amazondeliverydriver  Год назад

      There are double mirrors on each side and the bottom mirror is wonderful at showing the cars in the other lanes so it’s super convenient to switch lanes without causing an accident.

    I had 3 days of training at the warehouse, and 1 day of ride along. Here lately I only get to work 1 day out of the 2 days I am scheduled. I see the same people who work their shift every day, and never get sent home. They play favoritism all the time. They say we are supposed to get a 2 hr minimum for stand by, but we don’t ever get that.
