Hi Al, I missed quite few vids from you as I been away. Now I'm stuck home with new friend Covid so I picked this video to entertaining myslef. I choose this one coz when I first time visited Lakes I planned stayed exact where you. So it was really nice to see how it looks like there. Seen you in small tent make me feel think , well I'm on this boat since I wild camp 🤣 living in small tent. Anyway Thank you for sharing and boggy grass just remind my recent bad days lakes... Thank you and all the best Lucy
15 days is a long time! Well done. I’ll have to watch the video as I’m sure it’s brilliant as always. Being stuck in a wet tent isn’t too much fun but being out in the wilderness massages the soul 👌👊
Have you considered taking a radio along with you? Ive been in some miserable wild and wet conditions but the comfort of radio signal can't be beat. MW reception is priceless!
Love your positive outlook whether it be rain hail sleet or snow. You make the best of every situation. Love the sound of rain but after 16 hrs can get to you lol.
Despite the terrible weather it was still a great watch 👍, I'd rather be stuck in a tent in crappy weather, rather than stuck on the couch watching tele any day, something about the sound of rain on a tent when you're in the mountains 😄, great drone footage, I'm surprised you could get it out considering the conditions, nice one, atb Mick 👍
Great video even if tent bound. I love the sound of rain on a tent, especially when it’s not mine😂 Your scrape on the pot by your long spoon reminded me why I use a wooden spoon 😊
I love your aerial views set to the most beautiful music. I watched this while sitting on my patio in sweltering heat for a late May Memorial Day in the Smoky Mountains. I envied the chilly weather and even the precipitation. But the weather here will change soon enough. Hoping for a nice Tau Herculids meteor storm later tonight/early morning but I will probably sleep thought it all. Glad you and Blue had an adventure to share with us even if it did rain most of the time. The location is absolutely beautiful even with the rain. Stay safe and take us along for future adventures. 2yrs out of date? That's nothing pal! When my mum downsized from a 3 bedroom house to a 1 bed retirement apartment, I helped her sell, recycle, auction or chuck her excess possessions, and she still was argumentative about binning a jar of chutney with a sell by date of July 1985.. 33 years past it's sell by date! 😝
Great video as usual. I enjoy all of your videos, but I think the best ones are in the rain or snow or the extreme windy conditions. I enjoy hearing the rain hitting the tent and you’re inside staying dry. Keep up the good work and I’ll keep watching. tell my buddy blue dog hi.👍
Winter has just started here in Australia and it's been raining non-stop so far which I love. I just need to find a day or two to get away camping as there is nothing better than listening to the sound of rain on a tent. I love looking at the scenery you constantly show in your videos.
I love to hear the pitter patter of rain on a tent it's quite calming , it certainly doesn't seem to bother blue he looked pretty content & great drone footage the next morning I hope you enjoyed that breakfast treat.
Had my first wild camp Mate at Angle tarn last night. It was raining all night right after we pitch, cooked and eat. There was even lightning and thunder, there's about 20 tents I think all over the places and everyone was chill. It was a great experience and will definitely do it again. Thanks for your vlog, it helps me a lot preparing myself to this new level of experience.
Another brilliant video Al. Don’t know if it’s just me but I love the sound of the rain on the tent. Also I carry an iPad mini with me with a couple of downloaded movies on it to help pass the time.
I had the same tent. It was great weight wise but didn't keep me as dry as I would like in bad weather. My pal and I had a camp in Nov that saw us in our tents from 6pm to 7am. It was a long night, helped with wine :)
Very enjoyable video. I found Sprinkling tarn to be a sublime place, so quiet at times where the only sound you can hear is your own heartbeat. Nestled between Great Gable and Great End, its a pretty great place too. Really well put together, showing an all too true view of camping like it is. 😊

Inspiring as always and the Thermarest chair is a god send. We love ours. Thanks for taking the time and producing great output. Cheers Sel and Tracey. Wow such a nice view camping trip .so peaceful places so relaxing you and your buddy 😊😊😊😍😍😍to watch especially the wind blow thanks for sharing so sweet dog too.
Can totally identify with this video having spent many long hours in a tent myself. The Trekker Chair is a game changer for me. In latter years I've started suffering with my back and this simple contraption makes life in the tent so much more comfortable. Use a pee bottle myself. I was careful to choose one strikingly different in colour to the one I drink out of! Always enjoy your videos, Al. Even the less spectacular ones like this. Do you ever use a lightweight bivvy bag to protect your sleeping bag from getting damp? The Alpkit Hunka seems to work well and I've never had any condensation issues.
I often use the Hunka in that way and it definitely helps and protect from the mucky dog too. The trekker chair definitely is worth the money especially in winter camping. Thanks mate👍
flippin heck mate, that's the 1st time you have camped in a tarn. that was a damp one for sure and great one indeed. Loving that drone footage again and those tents over the other side will be wondering where it came from. Hope you flogged them some merch. Keep up the good work Al lad and take care. looking forward to your next adventure.
I chatted to the three tent group and they were all subscribers. Good set of lads. It was definitely a wet one though and nice to see others out in it as normally I’m out alone 👍
Great video Al. That was definitely a soggy one. You got lucky with the tent pitch, so much standing water. I want to thank you for your positivity and encouragement to push myself to finally wild camp. Got 2 camps under my belt over the past 2 weekends. Absolutely loved it. I need to get used to carrying so much weight before I can get up on't mountains though.
Hello Al an Blue.we camped in a 6berth frame tent at Wetton Mill in the Peak district and it rained 10 days out the 14 we were there. We all loved it tho.loved the rain sound and we slept well Every night my husband did Great Gable in his younger days. Loved ur vid.
Another great video Al, brought back some good memories from a couple of years ago when I was up there wild camping on the hill above the tarn overlooking the valley down towards Seathwaite on one side and the tarn on my other. After watching your vids, I'm getting the bug now to camp out in some wet and eventually cold weather.
Dear Bushman I always use "boil in the bag" British army rations when I go backpacking! I had some that were 10 years past expiry date not too long ago! They tasted great and I suffered no ill effects at all!! Sorry you were stuck in all that rain. Best wishes from Canada. Paul
Dude great video! Not too sure if you have an SOS device but if you don’t, perhaps your should get one just in case. In the event there was something health related or in a tough situation, it’ll be worth keeping one on you just in case-for the sake of you and Blue. All the best and loving your videos.
Too funny about your mum. My parents are also wartime children & always stockpiled so much food. I would joke that, come the apocalypse, I was heading for their place. Enough food for 100 years ! My hiking started with my parents; every Sunday, we went hiking in the bush, usually to an abandoned minesite. My mom has since passed away, and my dad lives in a retirement home. Every weekend, I go hiking with Molly the Newf Retriever. And now my son has started backcountry camping with his girlfriend. Great habits to pass from generation to generation. Enjoy the outdoors, live life simply. Thanks for the videos.
That’s lovely passing on that ethos of the outdoors. It’s getting quickly diluted by humans so it needs keeping strong. You always respect your parents for these memories👊 thanks buddy 👍
On the subject of very long periods spent in a ⛺ tent or being bivvy-bound due to persistent rains or long winter ❄️ nights, I have downloaded a load of films onto the memory card of my phone. This allows me a bit of entertainment when I'm stuck in locations without any 3G/4G phone signals. Regarding cooking inside a ⛺ tent during those periods...I never have that problem, because I don't cook hot food or hot drinks while trekking in the mountains or forests, and this saves me carrying all the cooking gear. ( I do however cook hot meals back at my car). I also often fit the sleeping bag inside a goretex cover as this does help keep the bag dry and free of moisture (although I've yet to have rain ever penetrate the Jack 🐺 Wolfskin Gossamer II tent⛺).
It’s definitely easier to not carry and cook but I do love a tea😬. Taking an iPad and watching a film would be a good shout as winter nights can definitely be long! Thanks bud.
@@BUSHMANandBLUE I love a hot coffee, but carry some cans of cold 🍺 beer instead. 😂 I think the hatred of carrying cooking gear stems from my army barmy days of chasing SAS through the Brecons, and decades of living off muesli bars in wilderness regions of the globe 🌍 It does however make that hot beverage and chicken curry back at the parked X5 something to relish.😉
Another great show, wish this had come out a few days earlier as stayed at Angle Tarn with my son, which was harder to find a spot. Those Tuff Bags are awesome, the grip wears out quite quickly, but that's not what they're made for, they keeps your hands dry and warm, excellent. ATB Leigh....
I can completely understand what you went through. My first ever wild camp was done on the side of Pike o Blisco and in very similar conditions, I had 50mph winds to deal with as well as the rain, I too was stuck in my tent for 16 hours and it was soul destroying, but it was a very good experience and opportunity to learn from and gain experience (how can I do things better) 😊
Well in Al, no signal nights with the rain against the tent are both frustrating and absolutely brilliant! Much better for a recharge though 😊 Hope you and blue are well mate. Adge.
Looks an interesting place Al, makes me want to re-visit the lakes. We forget how blessed we are in the UK, everything is pretty safe, pretty easy and best of all, pretty accessible!
😁👍 Great video again Al and blue.. I love the Lakes, dramatic and atmospheric when the weather's like that. Very lucky with the pitch spot and well done for toughing it out for 16 hrs 👍
I especially enjoyed your music selection along with the drone footage near the end. I, too, recommend a large or extra large size pair of Gore-Tex mittens to wear by themselves or over insulated gloves. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A.
Yer Maws right, it's called hungers good kitchen, I like my triangia at least it doesn't sound like a fighter jet taking off. Good call on your water bottle. Thanks yet again 👍
I know the bad weather isn't probably your type of enjoyment but they are my favourite videos of yours to watch! Always entertainin! But was no one else concerned with the food being 2 years out of date?????? 😬😂
Good old blue, expert at kissing gates, no waste when I was growing up, my mother lived through the war and you didn't waste anything, enjoyed as usual regards from Leeds Yorkshire xxx

Wow such a nice view camping trip .so peaceful places so relaxing you and your buddy 😊😊😊😍😍😍to watch especially the wind blow thanks for sharing so sweet dog too.
Thanks. Yes it’s still talking even in the wet weather👌
@@BUSHMANandBLUE being yorkshire mesel` i am working out how i can make one out of canvas and a couple of straps
flippin heck mate, that's the 1st time you have camped in a tarn. that was a damp one for sure and great one indeed.
Wow brilliant mate! Definitely keep it up and try make the most of the opportunities you get to camp. You’ll be hooked now😉
Excellent once again...defo not boring content... thoroughly enjoyed and way better than watching crappy TV. Thks to you both..
Thanks John😊😉
Steady away was my mantra on thursday and friday on the Munros but a cracking day on Sat. Cheers from Scotland
Saturday was beautiful I’m the lakes too👌.
GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS,,,,seathwaite wettest place in england so spot on
Apparently it is😬
You a Good teacher Bro
Hello Al an Blue.we camped in a 6berth frame tent at Wetton Mill in the Peak district and it rained 10 days out the 14 we were there. We all loved it tho.loved the rain sound and we slept well Every night my husband did Great Gable in his younger days. Loved ur vid.
The British holiday at its finest😂. Always good memories. With my parents we always played cards in the tent or caravan 👌
I’m sure you’ll be out there enjoying whatever the weather will throw at you. 😉
Dear Bushman
I always use "boil in the bag" British army rations when I go backpacking! I had some that were 10 years past expiry date not too long ago! They tasted great and I suffered no ill effects at all!!
Sorry you were stuck in all that rain.
Best wishes from Canada. Paul
Yes apparently they do last for many years. I’m not too bothered about eating out of date food. It’s only dated to cover the manufacturer 😉👊
You can't complain - you had an ace time canoeing in the Lakes!
Nope. I never complain😉👌
Dude great video! Not too sure if you have an SOS device but if you don’t, perhaps your should get one just in case. In the event there was something health related or in a tough situation, it’ll be worth keeping one on you just in case-for the sake of you and Blue. All the best and loving your videos.
Cheers mate. I have one for kayaking and obviously my phone too but yes in the quieter locations they are a good shout.
You do an amazing job scrambling with one hand!
It’s always within my limits and obviously I don’t film when I need two hands😂.
Great video the overcast views care beautiful 😍 thanks for sharing. No Wi-Fi you can always download videos to watch off line.
Yes an iPad next time😂
On the subject of very long periods spent in a ⛺ tent or being bivvy-bound due to persistent rains or long winter ❄️ nights, I have downloaded a load of films onto the memory card of my phone.
I think the hatred of carrying cooking gear stems from my army barmy days of chasing SAS through the Brecons, and decades of living off muesli bars in wilderness regions of the globe 🌍 It does however make that hot beverage and chicken curry back at the parked X5 something to relish.😉
Well it definitely is extra weight to carry which isn’t needed.
Awesome you two, love that tarn for an overnighter 🥾⛰⛺️🙏🏻
Yes it’s a simple but effective night out there😉
Really good footage from above, I enjoyed that.
Very close to having to use your sleeping pad as a canoe again 😆Shame about the 16 hour tent endurance test.Another adventure ticked off👍
Yes it was definitely a wet one. At least it wasn’t running water😂
Another enjoyable video.Thanks B and B!
What memories. Been wetter from condensation when raining heavy many times
Yes water attacks you from everywhere 😂
Well done, not the weather we hope for this time of year! At least it wasn't too cold and you had plenty of food!
Still better being there making memories 😉
As usual, very enjoyable to sit and watch chilling out until I get out again, hopefully soon with a new drone to play with. Keep up the great work 😀👍
Cool enjoy it mate👌
Another great show, wish this had come out a few days earlier as stayed at Angle Tarn with my son, which was harder to find a spot. Those Tuff Bags are awesome, the grip wears out quite quickly, but that's not what they're made for, they keeps your hands dry and warm, excellent. ATB Leigh....
Thanks Choccy! It’s always fun looking for a spot to pitch although not when it’s dark 😂. I’m sure you both loved it.
Yes definitely although I actually like the time alone to just reflect on life. There will always be bad weather to deal with😂
Well in Al, no signal nights with the rain against the tent are both frustrating and absolutely brilliant! Much better for a recharge though 😊
Hope you and blue are well mate.
Adge.
All good mate and yes always brilliant to be out in. Way better than sitting idle at home for me😉👊
We keep waiting for Blue to say "go on Bushman,climb"..😆👍👍🙏
Sometimes when he’s waiting ahead for me I think he’s thinking it😂
Looks an interesting place Al, makes me want to re-visit the lakes. We forget how blessed we are in the UK, everything is pretty safe, pretty easy and best of all, pretty accessible!
Yes the Lakes are incredible! You can’t get bored of the place👌
😁👍 Great video again Al and blue.. I love the Lakes, dramatic and atmospheric when the weather's like that. Very lucky with the pitch spot and well done for toughing it out for 16 hrs 👍
Thanks mate. The lakes always gives you a different story every time you go😉👌
I especially enjoyed your music selection along with the drone footage near the end.
I, too, recommend a large or extra large size pair of Gore-Tex mittens to wear by themselves or over insulated gloves.
Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A.
Thanks. I just had a brief moment I could get the drone out. People don’t think to get a size larger for certain items 😉👍
P.S. Thats brotherly love for a fellow great guy.Dont want any of your mates gettin the wrong idea .LOLCheers mate
😂😂😂 mate I’ll always spread the love👍
Another great video really enjoyed thank you 😊
Thanks Jane. Just making the most of the weather😂
You my lad make the most of whatever life throws at you ! Good on you may long it continue, so enjoy your adventures 🥰
Another awesome adventure from bushman and blue. As always enjoyed video. 👍
Thank you my friend👊
Loved the story about your Mom she's old stock always prepared hope you didn't get pnueomia after all the rain great video stay safe 🏕️🏕️🏕️🏕️🏕️
Thanks. She’s called Margaret too😊
classic! when you gotta go you just go. funny how i remember the rough ones most vividly ;)
Sir can you please tell me what the blue outer shell you are wearing is? thank you.
It’s a RAB goretex jacket. I can’t remember which one.
Yer Maws right, it's called hungers good kitchen, I like my triangia at least it doesn't sound like a fighter jet taking off. Good call on your water bottle. Thanks yet again 👍
😂yes the trangia is the most peaceful stove out there.
I was a contestant on Blind Date! I was picking the girl and we went to Nashville. Christmas 95/ New Year 96...Makes me feel old thinking about it!
Love when you take blue’s pack off and he immediately rolls around. Also horrible glove 🧤 toss at the camera….. lol
😂 yes I thought I’d leave it in
I know the bad weather isn't probably your type of enjoyment but they are my favourite videos of yours to watch! Always entertainin!
But was no one else concerned with the food being 2 years out of date?????? 😬😂
The food was fine😂. I enjoy all the adventures regardless of the weather👌
Good old blue, expert at kissing gates, no waste when I was growing up, my mother lived through the war and you didn't waste anything, enjoyed as usual regards from Leeds Yorkshire xxx
I like kissing gates with Nicola for the reason they are named😉. I’m currently at hers in Leeds buddy 👍
