Maybe the Tesla left him stranted.. & he took it out on the back window. & Waited for a Hail day for the insurance claim. Front window Purfect... Right...
Windshields have a plastic sheet laminated between layers of glass - they're a LOT harder to break, because it provides protection for stuff coming through the windshield and hitting the driver. That's why a windshield can have cracks, but not break. Back windows and side windows don't have the plastic layer laminated into the glass, and are just regular tempered glass, so they break easier, and when they do, they shatter. You'll never see a side or rear window with a crack, because tempered glass shatters into small cubes.
April is a tough go for our area, we are grateful it wasn't like the F3 a few years back which erased homes on the nearby Farm roads.
