still can't wait to get this beauty, The SG is, in my opinion, one of the best looking and sounding guitars to ever come out of Gibson. Not to mention that this design has the best hard rock sound from performers like Pete Townshend, Tony Iommi, Eric Clapton, and (of course, talking about SG's you should never leave out) Angus Young of AC/DC.
Own 1 and love it.
Got one. Changed the string first and set it up, low action set and intonation fixed. Very light guitar, great slim neck, I don't like much the pickups, but they can be easely changed, as this rubbish plastic nut. Otherwise the guitar has a great finish and it's well built. So thick paint that I can't even see how many wood pieces it's made of. :p

Epiphone G 400 Pro SG is probably the best SG out their today..most certainly better than the Gibson Standard SG of today...Epiphone SG's and Les Paul's are works of Art..

I have the G-400 Pro and it feels and plays good. It does not matter in the least that it does not have binding on the neck!
Well the new ones now have binding on the neck! You wouldn’t know because no online pictures show this but they now have binding and it really does make them look a lot better!

Anton maybe you should learn some real history moron about Epiphone..its obvious you dont by your fucktard comment...Les paul was with Epiphone long before Gibson and he was still with Epiphone up until his death in 2009...he always said i will always be a Epiphone man...hey about Gibson millions in debt...losing major endorsements left and right and just about over for them...now look at Epiphone..thriving and putting out beautiful works of art...

I have an older version of this( 2011 i think) with a much chunkier neck does anyone know when Epiphone changed the neck profiles on all their guitars ?
Thomas Chambers I was wondering about this. The neck profile is so chunky I was worried I got a chibson and didn't know it. Does anyone know where to find more info on the necks? Any mods you can do to make it a bit less baseball bat like?
I have it & I've never played it.
A pity the metalwork is not gold, which looks far more classy on a black guitar than chrome.
Interesting that they don't actually play it.
