Have you done an episode on Hokuto Seikun? I was doing my fusion sequence in Persona 3 yesterday, got to him, and realized he has the big dipper on his sword...
I've not, but have strongly considered it. He's an interesting demon and it would be a shame not to cover at least one demon of Chinese folklore while I'm living in China.

Now about SMT fantasy lore, the human form Quetzalcoatl drawn by Kaneko is mostly inspired with one of the few accurate post colonial depictions of Quetzalcoatl from recently made post-conquest codex, like Codex Tovar from the middles of 1500's ACE and Codex Magliabechiano from the same time and both made by descendants of older aztec priest class converted to christianity.

It was in persona 5 so doesn't it have a pre obtained Name?
While most do, Quetzalcoatl does not. Not every Persona in the game is encountered as a Shadow so they don't all have names.

It's called Donut and is from Persona Q. I like that track because it actually does remind me of something more out of Persona 1.

Why does he look like he has a frog's head in Last Bible 3? Oh well. At least he's super adorbs in devil children. And you forgot to mention his goofy shaman design in persona 2. You've played those P2 games, right?
I rarely mention the P2 designs for the same reason I rarely mention the Famicom Megami Tensei designs, because they typically don't have artwork to draw from and more often than not are just slightly altered versions of a base model rather than given a unique design.
But yes, I've played them. I do regret forgetting to mention Quetzalcoatl's conversation with his brother, but I couldn't record P2 footage at the time of making this episode anyway.
@@strain42 I hear ya about the P2 demons. I loved the way they sometimes interact with certain personas. Didn't I see a really really old Kaneko art book scan of his original Megami Tensei designs in this video with his original green dragon Quetzalcoatl design?

@@beanieboi7743 Actually his VERY first megaten game was the 1990 sequel to Digital Devil Story Megami Tensei some two years prior to SMT1.
