    The Piaggio s6 pro rep...where it bolts to the exhaust port. Its like a cup and cone system. How is one meant to make that not leak. Doesnt matter how i fit it. Oil always leaks between the cylinder and the exhaust. Is there meant to be some sort of gasket there?

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  Год назад

      Yes I know what you mean but all of the Piag scooters run this exhaust system and the rounded head sits inside the Ex port. Get these two faces to match up first before loading the bolts to the bracket, this will help getting an air tight seal around the contact point of the header. We have some videos on this.

      Hi mate, that sounds like a good little setup. The carb sounds probably too large, we'd normally recommend no larger than a 21ml carb for that setup as it can create a bottleneck at the cylinder and be very hard to tune. The transmission parts will be fine, you just need to fiddle with the rollers to get the weight right, though I would definitely recommend a performance belt.

    Im looking for some help with my yamaha jog rr 50cc I've got a stage six pro replica mk1 and a bigger jet derestricted cdi,5.3g rollers, 15% stiffer torque spring and fully stock clutch. The scooter was tuned by the previous owner and had an oversize variator which I replaced because the rollers were worn and I couldn't find any of the same size online. Now heres the problem the fully derestricted scooter can only go 30mph at full throttle and if I have the throttle at 3/4 my speed will drop below 20 I'm not sure what to do don't want to ride on full throttle all the time

      First thing you need to check is the main jet. Good chance that its wrong. Its very difficult to diagnose problems when you don't know what the previous owner has done.. I would probably recommend taking it to a workshop, in person it is much easier to diagnose for an experienced technician.

From what you mention, I would lean towards a standard looking pipe to keep the outlet noise down but still offering a free flow to enhance the performance. Look for brand models such as Malossi Wild Lion orTecnigas silent Pro, others include, Naraku, Turbo kit and Polini. Google these 2 suggestions and then see what your shop has to offer.

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  3 года назад +1

      So if the only part changed was the exhuast, I would have to agree that the exhaust is what has limited the speed. So we look into the exhaust because the Rekord should add small amount of TS. Try the V2 stinger on the record, now test and GPS.
      Ok now increase the main jet 2 points and test again..... Get back to us.

I can tell you in cases where a customer was desperate to have their bike back we have used a different size Malossi piston in a cylinder and not had an issue. The difference in the Malossi piston sizes is tiny for the most part, I would assume the same is true with the Athena cylinders. The safe bet would obviously be to order the correct piston.. or confirm the details with Athena.

    Is the yasuni R or the stage6 pro replica mk1 better on a original Yamaha aerox?

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  Год назад

      The Yasuni R is a much safer choice, it will fit nicely and tune up relatively easily on the stock 50cc or 70cc if you go that way later on. The S6 pro rep mk1 is a mid race exhaust, and will be difficult to tune on the stock 50cc cylinder due to the exhaust chamber being designed for a much higher volume of flow. The later S6 pro rep's are made in China, we have seen some quality and fitment issues. I would suggest it is likely the case that S6 have moved to Yasuni manufacturing for the MK2 due to this.

      @@scooterstreetauHello again. I am thinking of upgrading my Stage6 Pro replica mk1 for a yasuni c16. I have got a s6 mk2 70cc sport pro on my yamaha slider. You've said that the mk1 is similar to the c16 when put to higher rpms. But on the swedish websites it says that the pro replica mk1 is a middleclass exuast and they have said to me that there is a big difference between the c16 and pro replica mk1. So i just wonder will there be a noticeble difference in my effect register and will a c16 improve the register and be a overall better exuast???? Thanks

      @@Wil2017 I would agree - the C16 is step up from the MKI. Need a high revving Cyl. kit for these to work optimally.

    Just as a heads up, the Stage 6 Pro Replika MKII is NOT exactly the same as a Yasuni R.. And it is quite obvious when you compare them next to each other. The Yasuni R is made of more pieces than the Stage 6. Other than that, god job explaining the differences.. The most important difference for most people is probably the power.

      Yes that is right, closer to the Z but still not identical.👍Thanks for the comment and yep the power at higher rpm is where it lives.

      Yes but you will need the connection parts for the silencer. That is one regular comment, the MK1 is very loud.

    sound difference from the MK1 to the MKII?

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  Год назад

      Same sound, MK1 will be louder to start but a repack can quieten it down. also it depends on which cylinder kit you match, as the cylinder creates the noise and the exhaust amplifies it.

      You obviously have a MK2 and your looking into it too much, add some of your experiences.
