Love the bong hit on the break... All of the songs of mine you played were pretty much flawless(95% perfect!!!) Absolutely love your own flavour to put in to make it work.. Im totally blown away by your execution and delivery, groove and feel... Thank you
Out of all the Barker vidz I've seen seen on the net,you pretty much nail it!!! Much props to you mate... You did your homework and it shows...I was like "holy fuck! has this guy been stalking me for the past 15 years or something"... The feel and groove you got it down.. I'm totally blown away.. Let's rip some bongs sometime. Much love and total big time respect!
People shit on these guys, but I still think Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia is one of my favorite albums of all time. Man, Nick's drumming, the production, Simen's vocals - that album was special.
Old Dimmu is so fucking incredible. So much nostalgia lol :) I wish they return to that sound. I mean, I like their new stuff in it's own way, but old albums are pure hell.
love seeing you do covers from this album. the album for me really into metal about 15 years ago and every time I listen to it the drumming sounds even more epic Barker is king! more from this album flawless man!
If this song doesn't get you moving, you ain't human. Great job Samus. This was my go-to song for boring car rides 20 years ago. Excellent memories. Nick Barker a fuckin beast. He must be on a subscription basis with the devil.
Excellent cover samus. One of my favourite dimmu songs!!! Nicholas barker has some tricky/creative tom work and you nailed it, was great to watch man. A++
I check your channel every week for more drum covers off of Puritanical. Nailed it bro. You nail Barkers tracks better than every drummer they've had since! I'd say Reno Killerich was the closest , 2ND to you. Bravo!
Greetings and hats down for you Sir. I've been working on stage since years and i heard a lot of good drummers but you really know your stuff. keep it up!
Hey dude.. Awesome work! I'm one of Nick's die hard fans myself.. I recon you've heard his work with Old Man's Child, and I was wondering if you could do a cover for a track titled "Black Seeds on Virgin Soil" someday!
It's unbelievable that a lot of younger drummers don't know about Nicholas Barker, he's just insane!!! And man, this cover is awesome, you should cover Blessings Upon The Thone of Tyranny too... Well all that album... It´s a masterpiece... *fart*
Nick is quite an introvert and does not care much for the fame nor the crowds. So it's hard to find content from him (studio clips, drum cams, interviews, etc.).
@@johnny_eth there's a couple of newer interviews, he seems line a really nice dude, but yeah, I remember when I saw that small blessings upon the throne of tyranny clip where he's fast af, that made a mark in my brain haha if there where more clips of those days laying around 🤯
As a norwegian dude who has listened to these guys since i was about 10 years old, this makes me proud. Great cover as always man! :D And man, i love that you use a mix of samples as well as mics. (looks like that at least??) Sounds really well. Fuck everyone who says triggering is cheating in any way.. lol. It sounds so much clearer!
Ok to be honest.. this is my Very first time watching this Dimmu Borgir Indoctrination drum cover... And, i want to say Holy Shit Sandwich this was a insane drum cover.. Taking into consideration, the speed Samus was playing with along with everytime the stick hit the drums they were precise clean hits.. Lastly, im not to knowledgeable regarding Dimmu Borgir's music history.. and honestly hearing this for the first time.. Samus left me speechless...😳😵
Wow that was epic! excelent brutal drumming! And that bong in the strings part hahaha fucking love it! Weed and metal my friend!(Puritanical awesome album!)
Can someone explain to me the technique used at 03:39 when he switch to faster double bass? The movement of the beater and the motion of his feet look completely the same as in the previous slower double bass part. All that has changed is the pummeling sound. I'm dumbfounded. Or tricked by post-editing.
man, super crazy cover as usual. loved the bongy part. but let me tell you, you should cover something more brutal! Would love to see a Deeds of Flesh cover for example. Peace
Could you try "Deconstruction" by Devin Townsend Project? Lots of heel-toe in that song, and you're probably the only person who can pull it off besides Dirk.
great great great!! Oh Yurrrrrr!! Would love also Kings Of Carnival Creation and The Maelstrom Mephisto! YOU ARE GREAT! CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW ALBUM OF DECREPIT BIRTH!!
you're my drumming God man. It's like you are overwhelmed by hundred of Mammoth pounding my broken already dead corpse. And when you smoke that puff I was like "" Wait for me Bros. "" So I choke on it he he. Ça rentre en Tabarnak ! :)
Dimmu screwed the pooch when they decided to go without Nicolas Barker! One of be best drummers in metal. I appreciate that while Nick's drums are very technical, they are also musical. He doesn't just play fast, he plays what's needed to for the song. Your cover of this song is brilliant.
Holy shit your drums are orgasmic!! Especially the snare! I loved 2:37 One thing, I think you should've cranked up the cymbals more, I couldn't hear them sometimes.
It seems like over 50% of the drums are coming from the original source material. You can hear Barker better than the drummer in in the video (for example, ride in 3:20, although he seems to play crash). Isn't there some drum-karaoke versions of metal songs for drummers? To me, these kind of videos would be better with just the drums, as he is obviously a great drummer.

yes because nobody cares for that drummer , its nothing special , its good but nothing special.
Ahahahahahahah ok.
Who is good for you boyo?...
Like you, Wanja!
And there very few drummers who can play Blasts 300bpm... like U!!!

Wow!!!! From the master himself!

Absolutely agree
Totally agreed. Barkers years in the band were the golden years.
DCA rules too.
1000% agree, black metal pvrests hate this band because they actually wrote good music.
My favorite Black metal album!
I always love when I'm listening to Dimmu and I can tell which songs Barker was on, good God this dude was the BEST drummer they had.
Amen
Definitely
Awesome Samus...
4 years ago and still amazing. I miss Nicholas Barker drumming in Dimmu.
YES, some Nick Barker drumming! Next time the Maelstorm Mephisto please!

Great Dimmu cover, man. And albeit briefly, you even went so far as to recreate their stage presence with the smokey atmosphere.
10/10

2:30 Nice technique there..
the best part! ))))
Whoever composed the transition at 1:39 deserves a medal, a Sir title and an invitation to mensa.
That would be Mustis. One of the best additions to the band bar none!
@@thagirion9761 *SIR Mustis
@@thagirion9761 check out Carpe Tenebrum's 1999 album. It was actually Astennu, their former lead guitarist, who could also play keyboards.
I love the kick tuning and mixing, it feels like so much modern metal makes the kicks just click with almost no bass. I love the bass.
The second I saw Samus hit that bong he became one of my favorite drummers in that instant. I salute you sir.
Lmfao the bong hit had me laughing
love it hahahah
Very well recorded and amazing. You add just enough of your own flair to enhance each song but to not stray away from the originals magic. Very good.

Nick Barker is proud at you @66Samus!! This was awesome to watch!
To date, that is the best drum cover I'd ever seen. Intermission bong break. Oh yeah, what Samus said in the description too.
I love those awesome ride things he does in the breakdown. Killed it.
Jaw-dropping, mind-blowing, extremely entertaining and incredible display of metal drumming!!! 🤘🤘🤘
My favorite Dimmu album! Amazing job, bro!
Holy guacamole dude, flawless cover as always!
I need more Dimmu Borgir songs, Please do a cover of Allegiance.
Carpathia999 That would be amazing. Great song🤘😈
FUCK YES!!!!!
Fuuuuuuck man. Those double strokes are clean as hell bruhh. You're unstoppable now.
By far my favorite video. You are getting me into shit I never listened to. The massive bong rip in the middle has nothing to do with it.🤘😎
this is by far the best dimmu cover ive seen
And this is the beast Dimmu Borgirs Album \,,/
THE most aesthetic drumming video on RUclips.

I can't do ANYTHING in this video except what happens starting at 2:30
Yeah I can do 250 bong hits per minute haha
The bong hit and the heel-toe KILLED
the chaotic evil wizard 66samus appears under a vale of wispy smoke to melt your minds with his double sticks of doom.
Literally leaned down to pick up my bong and when I looked back up, you had yours. Fucking pissing myself
Sick job man
