People shit on these guys, but I still think Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia is one of my favorite albums of all time. Man, Nick's drumming, the production, Simen's vocals - that album was special.

Old Dimmu is so fucking incredible. So much nostalgia lol :) I wish they return to that sound. I mean, I like their new stuff in it's own way, but old albums are pure hell.
I love the kick tuning and mixing, it feels like so much modern metal makes the kicks just click with almost no bass. I love the bass.
Great Dimmu cover, man. And albeit briefly, you even went so far as to recreate their stage presence with the smokey atmosphere.

Nick is quite an introvert and does not care much for the fame nor the crowds. So it's hard to find content from him (studio clips, drum cams, interviews, etc.).
@@johnny_eth there's a couple of newer interviews, he seems line a really nice dude, but yeah, I remember when I saw that small blessings upon the throne of tyranny clip where he's fast af, that made a mark in my brain haha if there where more clips of those days laying around 🤯

Ok to be honest.. this is my Very first time watching this Dimmu Borgir Indoctrination drum cover... And, i want to say Holy Shit Sandwich this was a insane drum cover.. Taking into consideration, the speed Samus was playing with along with everytime the stick hit the drums they were precise clean hits.. Lastly, im not to knowledgeable regarding Dimmu Borgir's music history.. and honestly hearing this for the first time.. Samus left me speechless...😳😵

Dimmu screwed the pooch when they decided to go without Nicolas Barker! One of be best drummers in metal. I appreciate that while Nick's drums are very technical, they are also musical. He doesn't just play fast, he plays what's needed to for the song.
