In the 70s, growing up, Trailers were very limited in content. Most of the time you were surprised, and it was great. Not really knowing much about The Exorcist, Jaws, Alien, The Thing was awesome ! Not much on Star Wars either, but since i was a science fiction nerd i was totally prepared. Actually it took the mainstream by total surprise and of course stayed in theatres for over a year straight. Great time to grow up..greater than the 80s if you ask me.
That Steve Austin figure was from the Jakks Stomp series. They had clip on armor and boots. I think that was from the second series that was all underwater figs.
toy federation LORE! ryan, did you make a deal with palpatine?🤣you know you've been collecting for a while when horribly executed items are like jewels in the rough. grape ape, grape ape.
"Smurfs, best intro ever" ... no, no, wait... (in a subtle voice) what were you doin? what are you doin with your life? - Travis that reaction is sooo funny!!!🤣😂😍
@@JessesCustomDesignThey are probably hearing the tabletop mic’s in their headphones. The person who edited the video just didn’t use the right audio track.
The best place to find Spoilers for movies nowadays... is you check the toy lines coming out! Lol. The Lego company is phenomenal for doing this. They show whole play sets that give away complete scenes of movies, not to mention all the cast characters they give away! 😂
Ames, Jamesway, Calder, K Mart, Montgomery Ward. Then the “high end” dept stores that may or may not have toys in them (depended on how far out Christmas was usually) JC Penny and Sears. Toys R Us was the Mecca, very rare to go but trips were cherished. “At Jamesway, we care about You”! That jingle has been in my head since I saw your reply to the Calder guy
what I hate about movie trailers now is they show you nearly the whole film in the trailer so that there's no reason to go see the film. they shouldn't show us so much, make it more mysterious and unknown. don't tell us everything cause then I won't go. and going to the movies are too expensive nowadays anyway too.
I loved movie trailers back in the day. Before the internet I remember watching a channel that would play a half an hour show of the newest movie trailers. It was on once a month. I remember recording it VHS style. Jordan
I remember years back I owned an Anniversary "HANS" That German military Soldier that was put out by DRAGON it had so much detail to it looked very realistic....Wish I still owned it
12 inch military is my jam. Mostly collect modern military from damtoys and easy & simple. But I remember dragon, BBI and even hot toys started with military.
In case you have not looked it up yet. Those street shark bootlegs are likely mannix ocean warriors. I have only found one of the 4 in the line in the wild. Love my one so much and one day I will find the others ❤
I have that frog thing, it has a horse n a sword I think.. I also have a bootleg batman on a horse (silverbat)? Korean G2 optimus prime, KO think. Gotta love vintage bootleg toys.
So did none of the mics get turned on this time? I would love to listen but the constant audio issues make it impossible. Every episode either 1 or all of the mics are turned off.
Lying in bed with a nice cuppa tea, bacon and egg roll with BBQ sauce and the Toy Fed podcast - perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday morning. Except for this killer hangover 🍺🤪🤢 P.S. To this day, me and my brothers call every dog we see Muttley, actual name be damned, they're all Muttley lol
Hey guys, there is a bootleg line of Jakks WWF/E Wrestling Superstars line, even the package is a rip off…bad paint, cheap plastic, and I remember crazy names. The only place I’ve ever seen these were at Roses Discount Store. Maybe if it’s not an Austin from STOMP, could be one of those!!
Love the podcasts fellas, but whoever’s producing these needs to check the microphones are picking up audio. Because these seem to be made all on the same day, I assume the next few weeks will have everyone sounding like they’re talking from very far away, and that’s a shame.
McFadden story was good it's alot like what's going on with my food store. They made the decision to do 85% of bakey products comes from a main bakey 3 ahalf hour's away. On there end it's good because everything sells. But in my end 60% doesn't sell so we are taking 25% loss per day.
Another great discussion, thanks guys! I was just like you Ryan. I had a few transformers and was aware of all the other cool toys but it always came down to Star Wars and then GI Joe as Star Wars was winding down. I was only going to get toys for birthdays or Christmas so I had to prioritize what I wanted.
I’m 💯 positive lol that beanie conversation will be a POPS conversation 20 years from now lol people will be dropping those things by the metric ton … LOL “this was the chase RARE version” lol and I want to sell it for “ONE MILLION $$$” LOL
As a X-Men collector, I'm not jazzed about the new 97' line. They're as small as McDonald's toys, and to me, not appealing. I wish them luck trying to attract the new generation. Also, I remember Dusty Trail's sport's line toys, every toy store couldn't give those things away, they were in bargin bins for years. Sports fans don't like figures, they like cards.
Hopefully these are more stories that you’re wanting to hear from us!
I don't know exactly why but ever since Star Gate I called James Spader, Spader Man.
The McFarlane figure of the guy kicking down the door is one of the Jack Bauer figures from the TV show, "24".
I love the podcast because of all the stories keep it up guys, much love from Louisville KY
The audio is off. It doesn’t sound like the other episodes a month ago.. might wanna check. I love the conversation regardless.
The microphones are off. Gotta check the gear. Watch the episode you started with and compare it.

I love this Channel... Toy Federation is my Favorite Toy Store, I had so much fun Toy Hunting. I saw things I've never seen before.

The sting is part of a kite
10 episodes in and it’s time to comment… best damn podcast I’ve listened too. Keep up the great work!
That Steve Austin figure was from the Jakks Stomp series. They had clip on armor and boots. I think that was from the second series that was all underwater figs.
Justice League Unlimited definitely went back to the badass intro music. That's a full blown rock band.
Everyone complaining about the sound should go make their own show
We did get leaks and rumors that were published in magazines like Starlog back in the day
Groovy as always……you guys are awesome…….
Im not a collector at all but Ive binged these shows for two weeks. 80ties baby and 90tys kid. right in my
wheel house.
I got so many bootleg figures from small town stops on family road trips, at that age it was the themes. "Neat, Odd looking gobot/turtle/etc"
toy federation LORE! ryan, did you make a deal with palpatine?🤣you know you've been collecting for a while when horribly executed items are like jewels in the rough. grape ape, grape ape.
I love the Sungold Monster line. I only need the Hunchback now.
That sting figure looks like Marilyn Manson after a hard night of partying.lol
"Smurfs, best intro ever" ... no, no, wait... (in a subtle voice) what were you doin? what are you doin with your life? - Travis
that reaction is sooo funny!!!🤣😂😍
Intros. Hell. Yeah. I have a playlist on here of just the OG intros. TMNT. Dinosaucers. Gummi Bears. Darkwing Duck.
That bootleg sting fig almost looks like Marvels Ebony Maw.
I don't know what it is exactly but the video production of these episodes is amazing
Love the show! Looks like only Ryan's mic was on eh? Sound guy, second week of mess ups LOL!!! Blame the sound guy!
None of the table top mics are on. It sounds like it's a fourth room mic.
Yeah, sounds like 1 room mic near Ryan. What are they hearing in their headphones?
@@JessesCustomDesignThey are probably hearing the tabletop mic’s in their headphones. The person who edited the video just didn’t use the right audio track.
Ryan is Frank Costanza when it comes to his movies, “I like to go in fresh!”
I remember in the 80s we had loads of KO he man style figures which shared the same form factor, some of them were brilliant
That Sting figure was packed in with some kind of kite. Not really sure what the point was of putting an action figure in with a kite.
The best place to find Spoilers for movies nowadays... is you check the toy lines coming out! Lol. The Lego company is phenomenal for doing this. They show whole play sets that give away complete scenes of movies, not to mention all the cast characters they give away! 😂
18:40 the sting action figure on iPhone RUclips looks like Dean Snyder from Twisted Sister 😂
I used to get my grandma to buy me toys at Caldor back in the day. I don't think they exist anymore haha
Jamesway

Great show as usual guys! Please keep them coming!
Thanks for talking about military figures! Can you talk about underrated toy lines or best vehicle/play sets?
Orbots Intro...!!! M.A.S.K. ....!!!
M A S K theme is epic
Jaaks pacific makes some funny azz head sculpts sometimes lol
I remember years back I owned an Anniversary "HANS" That German military Soldier that was put out by DRAGON it had so much detail to it looked very realistic....Wish I still owned it
I enjoy these podcasts! This week Travis's mic is off lol. Hopefully next episode the sound will be back to normal.
Yooooo I'm off work today

The Police (Sting) made the intro song for Star Wars Droids.
Great podcast and thanks a lot now I can’t get the Whitney Houston song out of my head every time I watch X-Men
This was great ! Love the stories
Those figures are cool!! Love hearing the stories you guys rock!!
The Sting figure looks like something from a Tool video.
I have that frog thing, it has a horse n a sword I think.. I also have a bootleg batman on a horse (silverbat)? Korean G2 optimus prime, KO think. Gotta love vintage bootleg toys.
🤣leaf frog ahh amazing lol

The Austin is real. Jakks made a terrible Austin with that horror face.

a lot of funko pops will be the new beanie babies
Yes, until the next fringe, cringe 1 hit wonder "collectable" comes along.
Check out Linda the police woman's intro if you haven't already. It's so similar to the X-Men theme song it's obvious 👍love the videos guys✌️
Do corps count as G.I. Joe knock offs/bootlegs? If so, I had them.
Please get Robert Cop on the show one day 🙏
They are Bug Men of Inecta. Not sure of manufacture

Out audio SD card corrupted
Sorry to hear that 🫤
Can we all agree that Disney's biggest screw up was not putting Luke, Leia and Han all on screen together one more time.
Did the mics not record? It sounds like it was recorded from a boom mic, don’t want to sound mean just want to know why it sounds weird.
👍 the bootlegs subject 👍
I live in Maine so I recognize the Portland Seadogs hat is there a Maine connection or just love double a baseball? Love the content. Thanks Johnny
i have one question.....how much to ship?
Man I miss Toyfare Magazine.

Great Channel
31:09 Toynami did Thudarr the Barbarian … have all 3 BUT man I wish they could be updated… those figs would sell!
audio upload? want to listen on my podcast app

The Hasbro ML line is bigger than the old toy biz figures from when I was a kid.
90’s animation rules all Superman Batman Spider-Man X-men I said wat I said
Why do you hate Hess trucks lol?
Omg! As if X-Men wasn’t already super duper gay! Y’all just called out that Whitney Houston did the theme song! Brilliant. 😂🎉
Poor camera work. Glad they could describe the action figures, barely see them.
This is a podcast
Tru, was hoping to see how bad the figures looked.
We did show them
McFarlane is great. White lies😂🤣
Each has to show toy that is relevant to pop culture according to them 🛸🏟️
