The orange snake Yoda came out in July 1980 thus making the "32" back. He wasn't released with the other 10 at first to prevent a spoiler. He's listed in the 1981 catalog as coming with the second ESB wave, but technically, he came out in his own wave. The Sears exclusives also had the two Jabba Dungeons and Imperial Cruiser vehicle. Obviously the sold limbed C-3PO didn't have accessories and I count him as a separate figure from the removable limbs version as I would count the R2-D2 figures as separate figures. The Vlix figure was from Glasslite, but they likely used a Kenner sculpt.
I found it fascinating that the sculpture left his daughters names hidden in his work
Right? I had a blast getting to talk to him in person and want to release that whole interview soon :). Thanks for watching Keith!
A fun video! Another fun thing to look up is how Bossk was based on and related to the sculpt for Snaggletooth. Particularly the head but other parts as well. You’ll love this story!
Thanks Biggs! I’ll have to look it up!
I knew a few Joey but not many. I appreciate you taking us back in time to how things were back in the 80s. Star Wars was originally made for kids and it makes sense that Kenner wouldn’t have produced a Slave Leia back then. I was watching A New Hope with my 7 year old nephew this weekend and he wouldn’t have been interested in a figure like that at his age (maybe in a few years he will - lol).
Haha yea! I remember seeing the Teela figure in the stores and even though I didn’t want it, you could tell my mom was annoyed that they were selling those to kids. She was very conservative.
@@thepadawancollectorofficial sounds like a great mom!
@@thepadawancollectorofficial We used Teela for certain positions with the other characters. It was exciting.
The Death Star top level replacement piece, the little lever peg on the bottom side of the gun is sometimes broken too, which causes it to not click in place. Unfortunately you have to replace the whole gun. Luke Jedi had a light and dark brown cape, and painted or molded face too😅 thanks for the info, happy collecting bro 😎🤙
Thanks for the info Scott!!
An excellent follow up to your first "25 Facts" video Joey. Great job as always going above and beyond. Not sure how you're going to top this one, but I'm here for it!
I am hoping to do another one that goes into MOC and playsets more, plus trivia about how the toys were made.
@@thepadawancollectorofficial Heck yeah!
Thanks for your video. It was as good as the last one. I thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to seeing what you do next. Best regards Mike
Thanks Mike and thanks for watching!!!
Keep 'em facts comin'!
Yes sir!
Wonderful video 👍🏿...
Thanks Stewart!
I have found the marks on my childhood Tauntaun: a 'B' on the left front paw and a 'C' on the right one. I tried looking it up but have never found anything about them. I guess it is still a mystery as to which Geddes family member they refer to.
I didn't know the fact about the Japanese C3PO variant. I always love learning new things about Star Wars toys!
Thanks for watching John! I believe the markings are on the tauntaun tail
@@thepadawancollectorofficial Oh, on the tail? I'll take a look. I looked and there might be something on the right side of the tail up by the tailhead where it becomes part of the body. Looks like a spot where there is a gap in the fur, but I can't read what it says. Really neat that he hid things in his work! Do you suppose the marks on the front paws mean anything to him? Or were maybe instructions to the factory workers?
Great show thank you for the video
Thank YOU for watching Gar!
Always wondered which figures came without accessories, now I know. Great video!
I’m glad you found this video useful Marc! Lots of tidbits in here that I learned for the first time as I was researching this too :). These are fun to make. Not the easiest to make, but fun nonetheless
Another great video!!
Love all the little details and historical facts!
Thanks my friend!
I still need a Yak Face to finish the run
I posted a few Yak faces for sale, I will find more postings. join the Padawan Academy on Facebook to get those listings
YakFace was released in Australia too
Thanks for letting me know! I guess I have to update it now!!!!!
Hy Joey, didn't know the japan c3po ! And other like the luke pilot !
And knowing is half the battle :). Thanks for checking out the vid Pascal! 🙌🏼
Waiting for the next 25 facts (51-75)!
They will be here soon!
Stuff like The Dewback, Wampa, Prob Droid, and TaunTauns weren't 'figures'.
I’m wondering. Some figures have come out saying they are a Stan Solo issued carded figure. I don’t remember what that is. Do you?
Stan Solo makes replica fan art action figures, that what those are. They aren’t licensed by Lucasfilm, just fan made figures for sale on the secondary market
That’s what I was thinking. I just couldn’t remember. Thanks so much.

The reason they did not do the bikini Leia is she did no shooting of guns in the scenario. So, what would a boy do with it?
Thats a great reason!
Choke Jabba to death with a chain like the movie
Put her in the cargo hold of the Falcon until she was of use to the rest of the crew. I would've enjoyed playing with her.
Is it really reasonable to think yak face is more rare than blue snaggletooth?
That’s a good point. I would include Blue snag in that.
@thepadawancollectorofficial not a knock on you at all, I just think the rarity of yak face is slightly overrated as a community. Just because it wasn't sold in the US.
