In the world of vintage toy collecting, certain figures and sets from the biggest toy lines-Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT), G.I. Joe, Masters of the Universe (MOTU), Transformers, and Thundercats-stand out not only for their desirability but also for their rarity. These items are the Holy Grail for collectors and often the hardest for vintage toy stores to acquire.

What really happens with our trades...
Love the show. Wish we had a West Coast installment. The closest thing I can think of is Frank and Son's
The first toy r us opened in Washington Dc in 1948, im from the UK and i specifically remember the first one opening around 1984.
And Hamleys was the first EVER toy shop opened back in 1740!!
You know what the American toy store is today. Walmart
Resident evil palisades?
Ryan is my AFT: Action Figure Therapist. I discovered this channel last year while taking some time off sick from work. Work was making me sick. So I quit. Now, I'm a full-time artist. No longer sick because I'm doing what I was born to do. AFT. Thank you, Ryan. You're GREAT!
Talk about ninja Turtles I would love to see and hear about all the turtles you have in your shop. I see bits and pieces when I watch different videos, but I never really see a video focused on all the turtles cause I know they got some rare ones
Service was a catalog company, but they did have toys and things on shelves too.
Are you guys not doing podcasts anymore? They were great!!
i should bring in my whole signed collection of star wars im in piedmont to lol
My mom let my nephew open my sealed 80’s Barbies while I was at work and he ripped the heads off of them. I’m still devastated about it and it’s been 15 years.
I don’t even collect toys but these guys are just chill nice people. I wish they had a store in California. I would go in and buy something just for the experience.
18:45 the trick is to slice the tape on the wrapping paper, carefully unwrap the gifts, then place new tape over the old... making your intrusion undetectable. Truly spy level skills for an 8 year old =).
This was,a very good job on a round table esk. Meeting of diff positions or viewpoints on the hobby.. we definitely need a TF2 and considering the straight truth is in the south east there are very few if any as straight foward and fair and the Disneyland quote is very true...
Funko pops were like a plague. New figures coming out, why not copy the funko look. That ugly look was everywhere.
Gotta love people hearing "no" then trying to argue you out of it. And by that I mean you hate to see it.
What about the American Gladiator toy line ? !!
Sometimes. It's not good if you sell low volume. Fees too high.
Any Toy Shows in The West Coast??
100% Tradewinds Toys was a Scientology Company that made Ethan Hunt figures 😆 OMG. Wow!
Mike Zeck is awesome! I had three posters on my wall when I was a kid in the eighties: The John Romita Spider-Man poster everyone had. The Frank Miller DareDevil poster everyone had. And a bad@$$ poster of Captain America fighting gangsters by Mike Zeck! I have a signed framed print of it now but between Zeck's Joe covers and Punisher mini series, I quickly became a fan.
I enjoy all these videos but I'm noticed something. Ryan talks to people not with them. Sometimes he cuts off customers just to talk to them and hear himself speak about his view on toys. Everyone just agrees with him while he blabs away - its the George Lucas effect. Hey Ryan - develop communication and listening skills...not all about your view dude and speak up everyone else your opinion on things matter.
I’ve also never heard him thank ANY ONE of those many people who brings him boxes and “paperwork”. The words “Thank you, I appreciate it.” just don’t seem to be in his selfish vocabulary.
Why'd the podcasts die
Put out more content lol I’ve watched reruns so many times already but I love it!
I miss the podcast. It was always so relaxing to listen to
I started collecting 70-80s Star Wars in the mid to late nineties. Ended seeking my collection for just north of $2000. I did get ripped off by a toy collector that sold me an ev-9d9 figure that he glued the arms into. But that was the rarest one I had at that time.
A lot of blah blah that never answered the question. What happened to toy stores?
‼️Not a problem that anybody older than eleven should ever have 🫃🏻
Love your show ❤️ 💕. Yet the other guy, sales products that have qc issues and overcharges everything nycc garbage dude
please more podcasts guys love your stuff
I personally dont understand the fun of collecting Funko Pops. I am glad I stay away from it.
I googled it.. Funko pays licensing fees. Funko typically pays a royalty of 15-16% on these licenses. Just an fyi
My first comics I started collecting was 2000ad ! I still have it and it’s from 1987 and I was 8 when I got it !!!
It’s not hard to post stuff out ! I call bs on that ! And the only reason I would like if you posted is because I’m in England and can never afford to go to USA ! I would love to ! And you have so much horror toys I would buy regularly from you !!!!
That’s what eBay is for homie.
I will always remenber my neighbor got me a boxed set of battle beasts for one of my birthdays
I’m a kid of the 80’s and 9’s and I miss magazines !!!! And sertain comics !!! I have all of the issues of a legendary uk comic called toxic ! It featured marshal law and accident man etc ! I think there was almost 30 issues before it went into liquidation!!!! I used to pick up s copy every week from my newsagents on my way to school and read it on my dinner break !!!!
Not a big marvel fan but I love the punisher !!! I am from England and they did the circle of blood in a a4 format and I collected them when I was about 8/9 years old and I still have them ! And I really like all of the punisher marvel max releases!!!💀
Remember Cow Boys of Moo Mesa i have every one of those guys from when I was a kid I wonder if they are worth anything
Man i never got a Lion-O, my parents found almost all the basic figures but not him.
Iphone....That explains alot
awesome
great podcast
Crazy! Lol I used to go through my storage tubs and arrange my toy room by putting everything on my bed, I now do it on my toy room floor….it works! 😂👍
Sneak Peek was designed for Stephen King's son.
I think ebay is worth if you're mass selling.. or opposite! If you're just some guy trying to get rid of your stuff My old 3ds games and consoles sold like hot cakes It was an extra 600 dollars in my pockets instead of sitting in my drawers
He was right about of about Service Merchandise had one on the Shelf he went and ordered it come out on the variable belt
I got my Optimus Prime at Service Merchandise! and I was always excited when the big catalog came in the Fall.
Food fighters by Mattel
I sold off all my original star wars OG blue box funkos before the crash, I had bought all mine at retail so made a good amount of profit on them all.
The Tick is my favorite super hero❤😂
Cons in Las Vegas have hardly any vintage toys 😢
