People buy over-priced coins and collectible medals from the TV and magazines, and then are upset when most of the time it's just worth face value.

I remember freezing that X-Men Ice Man figure and he came apart in the freezer. I just pieced him back together and glued him and he was just fine. GREAT FIGURE LOTS OF Fun. Also that original ice man figure was transparent / clear when they re issued him he had a light blue color. So the clear ice man is difficult to find. Blue Ice Man is more common easy to find

Have you considered opening a Toy Federation toy museum? Maybe a building next door to the shop or in the same city. It would be a way to display your private collections. It could also act as a fancy showroom for the actual store. Charge like a $5 entrance fee. Since u guys are a funnel for all these different toys coming in, you would be the perfect curators for creating such a museum.

I’m going through the whole backlog now on all you guys content and I’m loving it but the podcast is my favorite I came into the store this past week it is a really neat little place nice seeing pegs full of toys in a store like when I was a kid

We had a store called Consumers Distributing that was a store with no showroom. They just had counters with catalogs and you went up to the counter and asked for what you wanted and they went in the back and got it. I guess they were a competitor to Service Merchandise. Same type of store.

I think this is the best episode of this Podcast, so far. Just a couple of friends, sitting around and sharing good stories. I'd like to see more of this again in a future episode.

Man I just realized this podcast stopped 4 months ago. Bummer!! It was really good. I actually wished it was a longer content format. I was going back and listening to old podcasts. Seriously hope they bring it back. At least maybe one long form one a month that’s chopped up like Pixel Game Squad podcast does.

Looking at toys in the booklets was the best. The best were the Christmas Catalogs in the 80s!! You circled everything for Santa to bring you. I’m so fortunate to have grown up in the 80s!!

My parents were Jehovah's Witnesses so most toys I wanted in the 80's were considered "demonic" and "worldly" so I ended up with a lot of LEGO spaceships cause they couldn't figure out how those were evil yet. I had some batman and transformers, and smurfs, my Grandma bought for me, but my parents threw them out when they joined the JW's in 1984.

Kids dont care about Toys anymore because Toys are perceived to be a thing only creepy adults collect; and the kids are correct. I would say my best Christmas for toys was the year I got M.A.S.K Rhino and a Hornby train set. My best Christmas when I was older was getting my first electric guitar.
