I wish they taught investing at school level. There is so much advantage to doing this!
My biggest regret is that I started so late.
I agree!
They don't teach in schools because if people started to learn the power of investing early, they could probably retire in their 50s. That would be bad for employers. The system is designed to keep society working into old age.
Same here. I've always been interested but the general opinion back in the day, it was for the rich only! How stupid was I, not to try and do it when I was younger
I believe it's never too late for anyone Most important thing is to get started and build your income over time to continue investing more as time goes on. I put in around 75K fourteen months ago in equity index funds, ETFs and individual stocks, current portfolio value is ~$690K and growing.
which companies would you recommend or where should I invest a hundred K to get the best returns right off the bat?
Glancing over the videos for something to watch, I noticed that primarily, the "fight" videos are the ones that get over 100K views. These great learning videos only get 5K to 10K views. I appreciate your continuing to make them, Dave.
Well that's just in the first couple days. My academic tutorials accumulate views over years and years, since students watch them specifically when they need to for a particular class.
To be fair not everyone has poor access to education and not everyone needs to spend there time watching finance videos
@@ProfessorDaveExplainsExposing fraud is timeless and will always be useful like the general education videos.
Videos like these have more utility but can only appeal to those interested in the topic at hand
While anyone can watch a good fight video
I started watching these videos, they might not get as many but I love them anyways.
Though I do enjoy watching him dismantle all these flat earth/young earth it whatever.
Correcting misinformation is a great way to educate people also so I appreciate that he does that. Plus hopefully he can get through to some of the people who have fallen into those lies.
Dave is teaching future generations what they should’ve taught us. Learning about investing and economics early is a HUGE benefit. And I’m not even 30 yet so I still benefit from these videos as well. Thanks professor!
I love how this guy is essentially a glorified chemistry professor ( a status well earned i might add) yet he can cover subjects completely outside of his field so well that even actual teachers who teach on these topics use HIS VIDEOS in THEIR CLASS
Well done Dave 👍
Seriously!!! Dude's versatile
Nice! Easily understood explanation of one of the most difficult and intimidating subjects.
This is a great breakdown! I teach financial mathematics at a college and plan to show this video to my students. Thanks Professor Dave!
stop lying . you are hunter and nothing else
@@gknkrnkjgjugjrgjrng💀💀 you didn't have to do them like that I'm sure they're a well respected figure wherever they are and I honestly think it's funny that this guy can cover topics outside of his field of knowledge well enough that other teachers want to use his videos in their class
Professor Dave now not only knows Chemistry and Physics, now he teaches Economics too
GREAT TIMING!!! This past week I e started looking into investing!!! Thanks for this!
Thanks a ton for such clarity of basics.
I don't get it. Where do you invest? How do you invest? Why can you profit on this? You explained everything in the video clearly, and I get that. But how do I get there?
You can setup a brokerage account where you can buy ETFs or purchase a mutual fund directly from the financial institution. Look for ones with low fees, all in one portfolio ETFs are a good option.
i would open a brokerage account and invest in an index fund
Superb explanation got u well from Tanzania 🤞🏾🤞🏾
Now we're talking
Thank you, Professor Dave!❤
Great information. You cover bonds in this segment, but not T-bills and T-notes. Do you plan to cover those separately, or would you consider all of those as various forms of a bond?
They just vary in duration. Government bonds are long duration, notes are intermediate, and bills are short.
This should be taught in high school
Fr though
I’m watching this video for high school
Did your high school not teach economics?
Thank you for this video
Intelligent professor 😂❤
what?! 😮 professor Dave explaining investing?! woah
You should do a similar explainer on taxation too.
i did that!
@@ProfessorDaveExplains Must had missed it.
@@PlayingGilly check the economics playlist linked in the description
Thank you
Amazing. This was really helpful
Thanks
Time in the market always beats timing the market.
Smashed like before I watched it
For such a simple video I learned stuff many people might not know. As unemployed, this may give me ideas to plan my future.
now if only you explained where and best way to invest.
Thank you!!
Thiss is what we are waiting for😮
am I expected to learn all this before I start my investment journey?
Money is evil
Why would your friend agree to a compound interest rate if it's more expensive? What's the positive for him?
I wonder as well
I can see this shown in schools like brainpop
Very helpful video for getting started. For those looking to learn more A Teenager’s Guide on how to Invest Like Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger is a great investing book for teens.
Love from India . Can you make a video on the claims like astral travel
Professor Dave Farina, what software do you use to edit your voice narration?
adobe premiere

How did you get the $2,833.59?
American lithium is currently one of the best stocks to invest short term.
it rises and falls fairly predictably and gains up to 140% each cycle
🙏
It's not so scary, laid out like this.
5:25 I thought I could learn something today, but I guess not like what the hell does that even mean? 😣
Who needs college, tho I actually really liked college
I know professor dave has moved on. From Flat earth, but i so would love for him to do an interview with a cgi artist/computer scientist. To show what their software looks like. And how their probably is no geniune talented artist that can deny 3d modeling math, lighting, dymanics, physics,.. they may not have a full grasp on all theses topics but they have to have a lot of info inorder to symmulate these things aka create a fake image. And how imposible real life cams and satillite footage would be to fake. I went to school for this and head longed into light and motion physics and complex geometry.
now not only knows
Instructions unclear buying monkey jpegs
Damn!!!
Sir I am from India and I want a job from you
Getting kinda worried Dave is going full neolib :( its one thing to explain how things are, but PLEASE do not justify it at the same time.
Please eventually do a video on how its all wrong and needs changing. A deconstruction and material critique of capitalism is vital.
This is unbelievably basic information for high school students.
@@ProfessorDaveExplains Thats fine, but I'm just saying its important for kids to learn that "how things are =/= how things ought to be" and more importantly, how how things are can and will hurt them.
Like even this basic information exists in a system that isn't operating for their benefit.
We're you expecting him to be an ancom?
@@ProfessorDaveExplainsHey Dave would you make a political ideology series? I'm sure it would be controversial
I just bought gamestop and microsoft after this 😂
Don't take loans 💀
If today's entire global balance sheet were to transfer over to Bitcoin due to a total collapse, each Bitcoin would theoretically be valued at:
$900 trillion / 21 million Bitcoin = $42,857,142.86 per Bitcoin

This is the opposite of get rich quick 😂😂😂
Forget everything about the theory in this video. If you put a few dollars into bitcoins when they were still a few cents each, you are already a billionaire.
If you put a few dollars into a winning multi-state lottery ticket you’d also be a billionaire. Let me know when you’ve procured yourself a time machine to enact this investment strategy.
@castinostudios This is really informative
