  • Here's a cover of a great Badfinger tune; 'Come And Get It', released in December 1969 as a single and was also featured in the 1969 film; The Magic Christian.
A great song with a great story attached to it that many Beatles fans will have heard. It was a song originally written by Paul McCartney. McCartney arrived early at Abbey Road Studios in July 1969 for a Beatles session whilst they were in the middle of recording the 'Abbey Road' album and he had this song already written. He then recorded a demo of the song singing and playing all the instruments (Drums, Piano, Shakers & Bass)
Some time later, he then presented the song to the band 'Badfinger' and said along the lines of "You've got to record it exactly like this demo, if you do that you will have a hit with it". Of course Badfinger obeyed his instruction, and McCartney was right. The single became a Top 5 hit in the UK reaching No.4 and a Top 10 hit in the US reaching No.7.

Excellent. Great recording. Mic? DAW? Doubled vocals or did you sing twice?

Thanks so much. Yes I use a mic setup into an audio interface through Logic Pro X. Yes the vocals are double tracked, a John Lennon trick! :)

Haven't seen you for a long long time, probably 10 years! And you're still learning how to play... 😢.

Musicians are always constantly learning new things every day and I work full time as a musician on Cruise ships too, if I was still learning how to play I wouldn't certainly be performing on them ;)
