    I'm very fortunate in that I have similar roads and scenery just on my doorstep. The roads are probably bumpier, but the condition of the surface is better. Ideal for my MT09SP.
    You will be surprised to learn that I live only 30km outside of the CBD of Melbourne Australia. I live in the Varra Valley famous for its wineries. We also have an Alpine region (1hr away) with snow skiing in the winter. I ride all year round and usually twice a week. It is terribly far for UK/Europeans to travel, but motorcycling Nirvana to me.

    Thanks for the content, after watching your last series in the area a few mates and I toured there in the early summer, staying in Colmar, using routes from Ride magazine’s website, a truly beautiful place with fantastic roads.

    Not sure if you know this but on the Zumo XT2 you can press the three dots and then trip data.
    That gives you a small grey screen on the right hand side in which you can display things like distance to destination, altitude etc.
    Anyway, great video as always. I'll now go through the Vosges on my trip to Albania and Greece in a few months.

      Col de la Bonette!! I think it's part of the tourist route the French built. It's not a mountain pass, it's a road to the top of a mountain. You can walk the last few metres to the peak. Spectacular.

    Having lived in Swiss for four years I can attest that after the first two passes, hairpins get very old very quickly. Also the people who seem to think they need to use all the road and the apex as they are in a smart car, Tiguan, polo, add whatever non drivers car as appropriate while doing 30kph less than everyone else. Vosges Jura for good riding, Alps Pyrenees for good scenery.

    • @woodywood3388
      @woodywood3388 5 дней назад

      I‘m not sure where about in „Swiss“ you lived but you clearly can‘t have ridden the right passes if you think they‘re all the same after the first two. Just in the Andermatt region alone there are plenty of passes that are each very different from the other, and not just because of hairpins. In eastern „Swiss“, the Albula, the Grimsel, the Furka, the Susten, the Klausen, the Nufenen are all the equal, if not better than anything you find in the Jura. If you ever go back to „Swiss“, perhaps you should give them a try - and maybe learn the name of the country while you‘re at it.
      P.S. good point about the „non drivers cars“, although isn‘t that part of the fun of biking, to find a spot where you can whizz past while the backlog of cars gets bigger and bigger.

    You made a comment in your previous video about the group not taking their helmets off to save time. I couldn’t possibly ride with you because I take my helmet off at every opportunity, even though going into “the shop” to pay for your petrol is unnecessary with pay at pump I wouldn’t dream of going inside with my helmet on and in fact I always take my helmet off at pay at pump 🇬🇧

    • @timrodierides
