My two cents after Kiss after letting it marinate (and since this is a proper Nmixx song after like 738 years) Lily sustained her notes really nicely this time around and she even added vibrato, we love that for her. Her little staccato adlib sounded great too. In general, that's some good ass high mixing. Haewon has so many lines and understandable, she really knows how to modify her technique to the concept, she was able to sing cutesy with that signature kpop nasal sound at the start and then by the end of the song she went all out with the open and clean belts. Really happy that Sullyoon got the opportunity to showcase some ACTUAL complex adlibs. It looks like after Lily and Haewon, Sullyoon is gonna be given the ad libbed lines in the future. Bae sounds SOOO good without the stylistic approach. Albeit her technique in Kiss is also a bit stylized with a light and soft singing approach, she was still able to showcase grounded moments with it. Overall while there's nothing super noteworthy in terms of improvement since for most of the song, all of the vocals were pretty tame and they only starting going full out at the end, it's still really great to see more exposure for their vocals.
Now I'm convinced that vocal trainers under JYPE changed after 2019. Itzy has only Lia, Twice has 3mix but Nmixx literally has 2 AA vocalists and rest being decent WA, not including Bae who is still a weak but even if she tried to rid off her approach like she did now she'd eventually be WA as well. I know that Lily and Haewon would be good vocalists no matter what, but it's really amazing to see how dancers and rappers have vocal tehnique as well.
so the kiss project was just released and BAE FINALLY LEFT THAT STYLISTIC APPROACH FOR ONCE!! we shall celebrate cuz she sounded sm better than usual. Lily’s sustained highnotes were nice as well.

From vocal analysis videos that I've watched in tiktok (which seem trustworthy), some of them ranked Wendy > Ningning > Seulgi >= Winter > Karina >= Giselle > Joy . But I need some elaborations on that, especially Karina, Giselle, and Joy, because they are kinda confusing especially since I heard somewhere that Giselle is now better than Karina. The initial ranking you just gave in your comment is correct. Giselle and Karina are interchangeable and there isn't much difference between them, Giselle is just ranked above Karina due to producing some cleaner sounds. Joy's rank is also correct, she posseses a very shallow form of support and it's also very inconsistent. She often utilizes nasality to handle more challenging notes (which is all you really need to be a decent idol singer) and her naturally high tessitura lets her have a lot of ease in reaching higher notes. Also don't worry too much about asking for advice, everyone here is open to discussion.

That channel isn't really trustworthy, it's pretty biased and too forgiving, maybe even reaching abt the aespa vocals. As for the Savage encore if you search "aespa savage encore mic fixed" the mr removed shows that Giselle wasn't even singing her lines during the Music Core encore and the B4's in Inkigayo I wouldn't give a pass either.

This account doesn't follow KVA and has their own grading system so that's probably why Lily ends up in AA-P on their criteria, but in general I found their terminologies pretty accurate. Again Kyu-Ji-Sull are all interchangeable so it doesn't really matter all too much.

Well compared to ning, bada can sound really full and balanced A4-C#5 and has nice quality. Shes not as light as Ningning. Ning's lightness is what pulling her moving on AA tier, in short its her main issue that needs to be fix.

Bada is actually Competent/Proficient :/ but like others say, despite her "light coordination" it is like 10 times stronger and more developed than Ningning's
Some say it is because of lack of effort since she does well on bolder approach below 5th octave. While others said that she lack chest engagement to go bolder or her muscles are not that developed. Which is really the reason for her being light?
I think people are getting way ahead of themselves especially with these tiers. People want them to climb up these tiers so quickly as if it was as simple as walking up some stairs. I love NMIXX, but the material we still have is still limited and I don't think it's nearly enough to even 100% conclude anything right now. The girls are slowly improving, which is good, but jumping from B- to B+ is a little much right now I think!
Yeoun say Lily B- / AA, Lily does have wide support range but not yet the fullness / openness / resonance like B, well support range only minimum requirements of high quality notes, but how high quality of the notes matter to climb up tier too.

Hi, do you mind if I ask for the vocal analysis of red velvet and aespa? From vocal analysis videos that I've watched in tiktok (which seem trustworthy), some of them ranked Wendy > Ningning > Seulgi >= Winter > Karina >= Giselle > Joy . But I need some elaborations on that, especially Karina, Giselle, and Joy, because they are kinda confusing especially since I heard somewhere that Giselle is now better than Karina. The initial ranking you just gave in your comment is correct. Giselle and Karina are interchangeable and there isn't much difference between them, Giselle is just ranked above Karina due to producing some cleaner sounds. Joy's rank is also correct, she posseses a very shallow form of support and it's also very inconsistent. She often utilizes nasality to handle more challenging notes (which is all you really need to be a decent idol singer) and her naturally high tessitura lets her have a lot of ease in reaching higher notes. Also don't worry too much about asking for advice, everyone here is open to discussion.

That channel isn't really trustworthy, it's pretty biased and too forgiving, maybe even reaching abt the aespa vocals. As for the Savage encore if you search "aespa savage encore mic fixed" the mr removed shows that Giselle wasn't even singing her lines during the Music Core encore and the B4's in Inkigayo I wouldn't give a pass either.

This account doesn't follow KVA and has their own grading system so that's probably why Lily ends up in AA-P on their criteria, but in general I found their terminologies pretty accurate. Again Kyu-Ji-Sull are all interchangeable so it doesn't really matter all too much.

I think people are getting way ahead of themselves especially with these tiers. People want them to climb up these tiers so quickly as if it was as simple as walking up some stairs. I love NMIXX, but the material we still have is still limited and I don't think it's nearly enough to even 100% conclude anything right now. The girls are slowly improving, which is good, but jumping from B- to B+ is a little much right now I think!
Yeoun say Lily B- / AA, Lily does have wide support range but not yet the fullness / openness / resonance like B, well support range only minimum requirements of high quality notes, but how high quality of the notes matter to climb up tier too.

anyways they do have upcoming singing materials. 30J a fanmeeting where they will prob sing live a couple of songs, I've notice that nowadays they always do BM live sadly it doesn't really showcase that much, winter c5s are usually nice here thoo. they will sing yeppi yeppi wich is great bt sadly it got choreo (i want them to do normal cover,just singing). Then 2 or 3 days of a Japanese showcase at the beggining of August. At the end they will hold 4 smtown concerts where Winter just confirmed that she have a solo stage!! (prob a cover with a nct member or something like that). I assume It will be similar for the rest of aespa! Now if we are lucky we could have some proper singing materials like a recording behind or some covers cause ning said in a fancall that she have covers she wants to upload but she have to be allowed :-( cant wait hahah

that was such a short promos, i mean reasonable w the amount of upcoming schedule they got in the future w Girls. j wished for their encore and sad it didn't happen
