Yeeeees jaaaaaa
Ve hermano, el nunca te va a responder
what's interesting about red velvet cakes, is that because chocolate bars were more expensive in the 1930s, bakers used raw cocoa instead. the reaction in the cocoa to the acidity of buttermilk made the batter turn more crimson. while not insanely red like known, it's still kinda cool how the chemicals reacted into a color change from chocolate brown to a rusty color.
that sounds waay more delicious than the version I find these days in bakeries.
@@m0t0b33these days they just use food coloring hardly any chocolate
@@angelit161 I know, that's why I said that.
Tks for your explanation
Did you drink a yapuchino
I find it funny how the thumbnail looks like it's gonna be one of those videos where someone just shouts at you all the time and you click on it and it's complete silence. Nice vid!
What a BLESS a whole video without any background music 🎉
❤😊
While tiramisu may have been popular in the 90's, you didn't see single birthday party without a rainbow chip cake.
Brazilian carrot cake is better
Brazilian carrot cake with melted chocolate is much better
Try original Swiss carrot cake.
@@alisonviajante1002I agree with you.
I love it, specially the chocolate topping!
@@alisonviajante1002it's simply delicious
Pineapple upside down cake, my favourite cake ever.
I like it too
Ummm that was up to 2010 and the last one looked the lest appetizing... Not to sound like a jerk, but you could've at least put in the name of the cakes, or shown the type of batter/icing/glaze you were using.
Turn on closed captioning-- those are all in there
Best cooking channel on YT
I agree👍
no sound no talking
Gulp gulp gulp how it taste
After albert can cook and patrick zeinali
Not really cooking, he isn't giving recipes or techniques, I have no idea how to cook anything he made over the last 20 minutes
The patience this guy has!
Pineapple upside down cake is best when made from scratch and baked in a cast iron skillet.😉
Good old fashioned Southern way of doing it!!!!
And use melted butter and real brown sugar. Maybe my eyes are messed up but it looked like they were using oil and Demerara sugar. Not nearly as yummy. And not traditional, but I add lime zest to mine which brings it up a whole level of deliciousness.
@@maraskywalkeriii Yes.Why substitute ingredients that mess with the taste?
The fact that I knew each cake as you were making them means I am watching way too many cooking channels. 🙄😂
I knew all of them too, I am addicted to cakes and their history
@@marwaqoura7804 same here! And I marvel at the sheer effort that goes into these creations people make today.
Next 100 year Fried Chicken
But don't forgot "300 year sandwich"
No
You make it look so easy! And delicious 😃
Enjoyed the video and found it interesting but was all that ASMR necessary? Had to watch the video on mute.
I agree, the slamming everything was a bit over the top!
Honestly expected lava cake to be in here... maybe 1990's?
نريد أن تصنع اشياء عملاقة من البطاطا والحلويات 😢
Diabetes can kill you. And those cakes look delicious regardless.
If you eat only once per year, and share with friends or family, no problem
Throating cakes & pies off a knife is wild😭
Cheesecakes are always my fav! And cheesecakes with berries ontop are the best!! 🩵🍓🍰
I can overlook the lacking of a turntable, but shoving the knife into your mouth like that? This man sure live dangerously…
La primera torta todavía se hace en Argentina, se le llama torta invertida se suele hacer con manzanas o con durazno
Where is 2020 cake
It got canceled due to covid?? 😂
Let them eat cake
That 70`s cake comes from Germany originally, it is called "Schwarzwälder Kirsch", Black Forest Cherry cake (the Black Forest is an area in South Germany). It is still very popular in Germany.
One of the best 👍
Still very popular in America here one of the ones you see frequently in delis and grocery stores
What about German Chocolate Cake? It originated in a bakery by people of my maiden name!
My grandmother used to cook that 60's cake for me 🤗
The sound almost killed me. But good sans sound.
I have to point out. Is no one gonna tell him that 1920-2010 is NOT 100 years?
you count per 10 years, so he counts the 1920, 1930, 1940 etc. Thats how you get 100 years (10 x a decade).
THAT'S FREAKING 90 YEARS NOT 100. 100 is like 1920-2020 or 1910-2010
@@patriciaarteaga658 that's true, but i meant it as 10 decades, as in he counts from 1920s, 1930, 1940, 1950, etc, to 2010s which comes to 10 decades of cakes. Thats the explanation i could think of but its true its officially not 100 years
13:24 that’s a good Black Forest cake
You put so much work into your videos. I really appreciate it. I can’t eat any of those foods, but I love watching you eat them and cook them.😊😊😊
Why can't you?😢
The cake from 1960 looks like the one Good Mythical Morning tried in their International Jelly Taste Test video on Monday
I'm sorry, friend, but gelatin is not cake
Nobody ate that cake in the 1980s
This must be European everything is way off for the American timeline
I like strawberry shortcakes, but also like anything with cream cheese or chocolate.
Pineapple upside down cake. In Australia we call it batter not dough.
No idea what the 2010 cake was. I would have enjoyed this more if he had told what the cake was instead of making me guess
turn on captions, maybe? he literally gives an in depth explanation of each cake’s origin for you💀
I was wondering...🤔 Who eat all the cakes? 😅🤭
This guy is so under rated
I love slow paced videos
That Broken Glass cake from the 1960’s was made a little more sloppily than we made them back in day. It’s quite a showpiece when done right.
My favorite cake in your video is the Cheesecake. The best cake in general is the Millionnaire's Shortbread ❤
I like tiramissu and blackforest
Cook the Algerian food 🍲 😢❤🇩🇿
I'm sure you have experience. I want you to make cakes in shapes like mangoes or dolls, amazing shapes because your content makes me sleep and feel calm.
Interesting, the cakes got literally fatter and tastier..I like it 😂
U should try Donauwellen. It’s the best cake in the world imo
What’s the name of the cake shown in 80’s?
We call it honey cake or Medovik (in my language med = honey)
100 years ago of crunchy old blah Digel to current fantastic flavors of chewable gas chews!(yummy).🥳

Loved this -- thanks so much for sharing -- every cake was so beautiful
Dude you need to tell us what these are, don’t recognise some of these cakes.
They're in the captions, I think
50 years of mcdonalds next?
idk why people love that white creame , i hate it
Does anyone know the 2010 cake name? 🙏🏼 Thanks!
Never had tiramisu. Also I have no idea what the cake you made for the 80s is. In the 80s my favorite cake was carrot cake. We ate cakes from grocery store bakeries, so usually sheet cake and early 90s the cake I wanted more than any other was an ice cream cake. What is the cake you put for 80s? The name I mean? Also what in the world was that last cake???
Love from nepal 🇳🇵
Honestly this is asmr 🤤
La del 1960 yo la ago con frutas mixtas en vez de jalea

This is art!!! Awesome, thank you for this goodness!!
I prefer cake with fruit in it to cake with just cream! If I could teleport, I would eat it!🥰🍰
I don't really consider the 1960s recipe to be cake
Edit:
I'm starting to realize other countries consider a lot of different things to be cake 🤔🤔
This guy is the opposite of HowToBasic
Xd is really 😂
This is amazing
Thank you for making this video
This is REAL asmr!
I put my dog to watch this video
13:12 Portal Fans, where you at?
Cook 100 years of cake??? Or bake 100 years of cake???
Sorry, but 1960 isn't even cake 😅
did anyone else had to watch this on mute?
1990 what was that? 😂 call that a cake. Looks more like icing. Those sticks ain’t nothing. This is an insult for that year.
Quedó BONITO.
You should retitle this video. "I made a bunch of different kinds of cake and some desserts that aren't cake."
Broken Glass Cake.... hint use real glass serve to people you hate like ungrateful inlaws ex BF or GF

I get most of the cakes, I was born in the mid 60s. I’ve never seen the 80s cake WTH was that?

What kind of cake is that in the 80s
1990. Tiramisu is not cake.
