Another great ep!!!! We get this question all the time bro. I have so much content I need to edit. We’ll put out ours next week. Keep inspiring us all bro
HI, I'm really considering this type of business in Texas. I already own a portable storage shed lot and think I can convert one of my "tiny house" style buildings into the shipping and packaging biz. What size (square footage) would you recommend?
Now’s the perfect time to get started. I started in about 400 sq ft. You could probably get started with less than that. Thanks for checking out the channel!
@@getfishbox Thanks for the quick response. As I mentioned I have a perfect location already in a growing rural area, not to mention the hwy is currently getting widened to a 5 lane major hwy. I've been selling here for 14 years and have a great rapport with the community. I've seen so many Amazon boxes left on the side of the road at the mailbox getting beat up with the weather because the drive ways are so far from the house or the UPS guy can't find the correct address. I feel like it would be a great business for my 33 yr old daughter to run on my already established property. However, is it profitable enough to sustain a single mom with two kids? Again, I already pay for the property so overhead will hardly be noticed.
This biz is definitely profitable. It’s been my only source of income for the last 8 years or so. It just takes time to get there. Took me between years 3-4 before I started making a profit
To be honest I don’t think the Fishbox biz model (just receiving packages) would work well in the suburbs. I’d recommend adding other services like pack and ship and fingerprinting, etc.
@@getfishbox makes sense. I love the around the way in the neighborhood feel of Fishbox. If I lived closer to Atlanta this model would be ideal. Thanks for your reply.
Hola Napoleón! Every time I watch your video is I get more and more excited to continue my journey to opening my own spot. What do you think about this? I’ve left 2 messages for a spot I found with a For Rent sign but she hasn’t returned my call. Is there a different way to go about finding out about the location?
Glad to hear the excitement is still there! Same thing happened to me. You just have to keep calling. Just keep trying. Also try Crexi.com it’s a database for commercial property for sale/lease. You can filter by the zip code you’re looking for.
No mini mailboxes at this time. All shelves. Pretty much all of our customers use our service for packages that don’t fit in the boxes so the shelves made more sense for us.
Love your vlogs, my mailbox business is open and people are taken aback by the monthly fee, how do you get people to sign up and stay on board and do they usually cancel their subscription?
Congrats on the store! It was a challenge when we first got started. We even priced our service half the price of competitors. It wasn’t until we raised our prices that people started taking us seriously. Offering a free month might soften the blow.
dude you inspired me, love your energy.
I appreciate that 🤝📦

Wondering about this kind of store in the suburbs. 🤔

Really want to start my own here in Winnipeg, MB lol
That would be dope! 🇨🇦 🤝📦

Yo yo!
Hey love the content! I feel like you're the only one in this particular pack and ship industry doing it. you do sponsorship deals?
I appreciate the love! There are a few others in the space putting out great content also. No sponsorship deals so far. We are still pretty small

Hey my friend.

Do you have mini-mailboxes in your store?

How do you leave a tip?

What is a "Fishbox" number? Maybe in another video?
It is basically a PO Box number. Just used the Fishbox term for branding
