Hi Napoleon! I opened my store and im on my 3rd week. Its been really slow starting. I am working on early marketing but all of my carriers said its been slow this time of year. Are you noticing that? Im in more rural of an area so it may be different for me. I wish I only did a mailbox store like you because i did a full shipping store... its a headache because i still dont have ups 3 weeks in... they said 2 weeks minimum but now are saying with the layoffs they are shorthanded for approvals...
Congrats on the opening! It was unusually slow for us since February but things are just starting to pick back up. I noticed it probably about 2-3 weeks ago. The first few years are definitely the hardest. You gotta hang in there! We only have USPS and honestly, we probably lose money on the shipping part. The monthly subscriptions for the rentals is definitely the way to go and a much bigger need in our area. I am working on more content around marketing to help others in the community get more customers. Seems to be the biggest need. Thanks for chiming in and let me know if I can ever help with anything 🤝📦
Hello Napoleon. Thank you for your commitment to helping people! Could you share how you establish pricing for receiving packages for customers that do not have a mailbox with you? My question came about when you were describing being a hub to receive wedding presents. Appreciate your response. 🙂
Yo! Thanks for the kind words! At this time only Fishbox customers can get packages delivered to our store. They have to choose one of the two subscriptions we have. I thought about allowing non subscribers to use the service and charge them later but didn’t think that was a good fit for us at this time 🤝📦
Hey Napoleon, found you earlier this year and just how had time to start going back thru your content. I just opened my store on 8/9/24, so that has been really keeping me busy as I still work a W2 as well. Just wanted to reach out and say any time you can get Lisa's ear do it. She is great and is such a down to earth person and willing to help whenever/however she can. I am only in this business because of her and what I have been able to learn from her. great content and keep it flowing, as you can tell I am like 3 months behind on your vids. I will be caught up likely in a few weeks :-)
Hey Tim, thanks for the kind words and congrats on your store! I was W2 also when I got started. For the first two years or so. Great way to stack up funds while building your store up. I also agree about Lisa. She’s a big reason why our channel has grown and I’ve drawn a lot of inspiration from her. Gonna reach back out to her for sure. Even if just to give her her flowers. Do you have a RUclips or Instagram for your store?
I appreciate that! We do offer mailbox rentals but not the actual mailboxes. They were too expensive when I first started and they took up too much space. I started from the bottom. Zero rentals back in 2015 and just really hustled to make it work. We will celebrate our 10 year anniversary next year! You thinking about starting a store?
Yes I looking to start a store but I wanted to have more mailboxes. How did you sell mailboxes without having any? Any tips on someone starting a new store?
@lyjohnny1 nice! I sold the value of our store (ending stolen packages) vs selling the actual mailboxes. Our customers here in Philly order things they don’t fit in the mailboxes so those didn’t make as much sense for us. And we didn’t have enough space for them. Best tip I have is to give your community the services that they need most. Do plenty of research and make sure you double down on the most pressing needs in the neighborhood.
I was working full time when I started my own store. It’s a lot of work but it’s possible. If I can ever help with anything just let me know. I appreciate you checking out the content 🤝

Wedding registry 🤯🤯🤯. This is genius bro. Wow. Going to give that a shot. Wedding and Baby Shower registry will be added to the arsenal. Love this!
Thanks for the love brother! If I could find every person that was either having a baby or getting married in Philly, I could retire really soon!

Have you ever done a video on how you organize everything?
Not yet but that’s such a highly requested video that I think it’s time to do a proper video on that. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hey Napoleon congrats on your success and the videos are great! Do you have mailbox rental as well? If so how many did you have starting out?

My son lives in Pennsylvania and my birthday card from him took 9 days to get here to Arizona. Used to only take 5-6 days.
Thanks for chiming in! I figured it was something that was affecting everyone. 30 days still seems a bit long for us
I will like to start my own mail box store but It will be dificult because I'm working full time as a mailman. Let see in the future.

I've seen regular mail take a few weeks at my store. Going to opposite sides of the country takes a while but this seems abnormal.
Agreed! Wondering if it may be our local post office. Thanks for chiming in 🤝
Your son ❤
🥰🥰🥰
For future reference, PLEASE do the math for me, I don't do math easily!
Noted! 🤝
who designed your website?
www.lustralabs.com tell them we sent ya :)
Don't you have a logo to put on your flyers and signs? Gotta brand your business!
Yea I put it on the stickers but I need something bigger for outside the store. So people know what we are and what we do. Coming soon!
