      When they walked 2 st8 and the marlins pitcher couldn't throw a strike and I see dumb lindor swing at a first pitch with 2 runners no outs I was gonna break the tv ... I am sure lindor was told to stay cool and he didn't listen. The Mets need to mature and take this seriously because they are slacking . I wish we could cut their pay and see if they remember fundamental baseball.

      @anthonyriche552 Год назад +5

      @@ricardomunozcasas4218 They were playing fundamental baseball the first half the season and that how they were winning games. No easy outs was their motto. Then the second half comes and they're a different team. I'm surprised that Buck didn't get on them for getting away from what worked in the first half. We don't have sluggers like the Braves. We gotta play smart and make teams earn it.

    • @anthonyriche552

      Man, I don't blame you. I've been a fan since '79 but I can't remember a more frustrating team as times. Maybe that's because I know they're capable of so much more. We should be up by 6 games or more or have clinched by now.

      @@ricardomunozcasas4218 Man, me too! I was so pissed. When they make pitchers work, they do so much better. I get the swinging at the first pitch, but sit on a fast ball down the middle. How many times does a pitcher throw that just to get a strike. Don't swing at anything. Especially when the pitcher was struggling. I couldn't believe it. But, they pulled it out in the end. Sometimes it just seems like they aren't playing with any fire until they get blown out. I hate seeing them all laughing in the dugout. They haven't done anything yet except set the expectations high. I hope they go in with the look that Jordan used to get when he would tell everyone to give him the ball and get out of his way. Let's go Mets!!!

      Win or lose the division ... if they win 100 games, nobody is going to be able to say "I thought that would happen." They happen to be in a division with one of the three best teams in the league. Who will be #2 and who will be #3. Nail-biter.

    • @stonemichaels1774
      @stonemichaels1774 Год назад +1

      Very true, BUT it's only fun if they win. lol. With the expectations for them this year, especially. I mean, they didn't fold to lose the lead, it was just that the Braves were playing unbelievable baseball. Last week, though, they really could have put some space between them, because the Braves looked ordinary for about a week.

      NL East is the only division in baseball with 2 teams that have over .600 win percentage. Mets have to knock-off the world champs to win their division. Mets are having a great season.

    • @dashx1103
      @dashx1103 Год назад +1

      @@stonemichaels1774 That's true. But the Mets -- especially Escobar -- came up huge in a game that really mattered the other day. By virtue of the Mets winning that game, they go into Atlanta only needing to win one of three to maintain a de facto lead. If they win one of three, they will be tied ... but the Mets will have the tie breaker. Then each team will have three winnable games.

Single, Single, pop up, strike out, fly out, just doesnt get the runs in or get the job done" Could have been Gary Apple sayin g this. The Mets need to be consistent, and fine if its a different player every night driving runs in, but the starting pitching has lost 3 games to the cubs, one to the A's, one to the marlins, two to the Nats, the "weak teams", yet Atlanta can dominate these teams, so where is the disconnect? Its the Mets pitching being inconsistent, and the hitting not coming thru. I have my view, you have yours, lets agree to disagree. I just dont see them doing well. If they do, I will the first to commend them and be there to cheer them on. I live 20 miles from Citifield (the field of broken dreams) and have been to 40 games there this year, plus went to DC to see them flop to the Nats . I want them to win and succeed, but I am a realist.

      @@nickkambos8514 well mets just got swept. Seems my views were 100% accurate. You owe me an apology. Mets will now lose 2 of 3 to Nats and then lose to San Diego.
