Nepali Tourism Board and Nepali Government missed a monumental chance to establish NEPAL as "Kamartaaj" the ultimate sorcerer's paradise in real life. The same terrain, same landscapes, same mountains and same temples as shown in "Doctor Strange"only if our government was competent and forward enough to even remotely think about it, it would have been a nerd's ultimate tourist attraction for Marverl fans.

Drone hassle: I work at a travel agency and I had to get a drone permit for a client. There are no proper rules and regulations for drone permits. You have to request 4-5 different departments and everyone is not well-educated about the drone permit rule. For the national part at that time, they said USD 1000 for a permit. That was more than their trek budget. So they cancelled the drone plan.
During this process, I questioned one of the government offices why this drone permit is so difficult to get and expensive. He responded that "the tourists would fly drones and upload the videos on RUclips and earn money. So this much fee is normal." 🤦 I had no words for this mentality.

I can imagine how much hassle they must have gone through last time. Our airport customs clearance and permit departments are very corrupt. Without bribery, you can't clear the customs, and they will make you pay unnecessary taxes for the items that you will take back with you. Just imagine how much they must have paid for all the cameras and shooting gear just for a few day's shoot.

If it was just a shot of Nepali village then it would cost them way cheaper to do it in Hollywood. Plus Federal government is funding some of it to happen in Australia so that more jobs are created in regional part of Australia.

Let’s just agree as a Nepali. We all know and we still don’t do anything about it.
Yes system is corrupt, but what we as a citizens of our great nation do to make our country better again? Why we always ready to blame the system even though we are the system and if our homes can be beautiful and clean, then why we can’t make our nation beautiful and clean by acting on unjust and unfairness? Why we can’t each one of us welcome every tourist visits our country so welcome that they will never forget the experience of visiting the Nepal. In doing that automatically we will be the nation where everyone wants to visit.
We don’t have to be rich with money, we just have to be rich with beauty and culture.

May be the producers found it logistically easier to shoot a movie in australia where they already have right equipment, right crew, right technical support. Bringing that to nepal might have cost them more. May be the part of movie where nepal is being shown has footage time that is not worth taking an entire movie crew to nepal to shoot it.
And the budget of the movie is 20 min usd not the cost to make nepali set. The budgest cover the payment to cast and crews, production team.
Manchu nepal ko beurocracy just makes everything so god damn hard to run an operation. But getting butt hurt over some movie not being shot in nepal is just shameful.
India has the worlds second largest movie industry, that has good technical support to make a movie. How many indian based movies have been shot else where. Have the indians ever cired out about a movie not being shot in india just because its based in india.

hahaha Bhaktapur point is flawed hai 'coz its more developed due to the public & leaders involved from Bhaktapur so not necessarily due to the Hollywood movie; will still agree with Nepal's bureaucracy & red tape & def need improvement there but won't go gaga over what Marvel did as Marvel itself is not a big franchise anymore, thanks to recent flops & losses...

Yeah Bhaktapur point was wrong. The main credit goes to the people, NeMaKiPa party, heritage conversationalists and German projects of 80s

Roads suck, pollution is super bad, road repairs take forever, too many brick clins that give you cancer, yadda yadda. But you better keep your mouth shut and not criticize the one true party there though. Keep being a sheep and showering praises to the one party that has no competition.

    1. It's a good thing. There are tons of nepali immigrants/non-immigrants in Aus and it's a good place to visit/travel.
    2. There are Chinatowns, indian city looking town in different parts of the US. Having Nepali town in Aus shouldn't be surprising or this depressing.
    3. Money flows there where there are better policies for money. Nepalese economy needs to be transformed into more free market capitalist in nature. People's mentality is still stuck in castism, discrimination, polluting own environment.. we are far away from transforming economic change. In democracy Leaders are reflection of the people.
4.As a well wisher, your pod feels ok (better than other joe rogan wannabe podcasts) content wise, but weird setup wise.. i think you should sit in left side of the screen and guest in right side of screen (there is psychological reason behind this, do research)
