Yeah, I’m currently playing final mix and I agree, slapshot is GOATED. It doubles the attack speed of your ground combos with a chance for a critical hit, it comes in clutch for parrying, which is essential until you learn guard, and helped me breeze through destiny island. I highly recommend choosing the shield to get this ability as soon as possible.

Tip: After you hit Riku 3 times, the 4th time you'll hit him, he'll do a rising kicks move. Just attack him once, when it's the fourth time, and move away, then attack him three times again. Rinse and repeat. Also, I won this fight 100 times.
@@bean3326 It’s ok I gave up on my replay through on the final mix edition but when I start a new game after this play through I will face him again & see if I can take him down 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
