I think its because no one uses other spells than aero or cure. I was surprised when I did it the first time and he shot that back at me. I did a nice finisher with it to with the sliding dash ability.
@@Nar0xias People use areo and cure quite a bit, until they play level 1 mode. I used to be the same, but after my level 1 run I use magic a lot more in even my normal mode playthroughs. I think level 1 mode just forces you to use everything at your disposal - and then you can play the game with the combat system's full potential once you go back to proud or normal mode.
@@BBoiiLite I'd think chernabog would be easier than Riku, but I guess everyone has trouble on different bosses. I found guard armor to be extremely difficult at the beginning of the game (Well I mean, your moveset was just jump and attack at that point, but still!)
This is the therapy I needed after 3 fucking hours on this boss. Makes you question how any of us beat this as kids when you come back to it as an adult
How exactly are you getting him to stun on his second phase so you can follow up with a combo, I ask because no matter what I do when I try to do the single attack so I can follow up with the combo he goes invincible and retaliates on my second attempt, I have tried mashing it and I also couldn't seem to find some kind of timing.
shdwboi07 Try a short keyblade, it might be difficult to notice but short keyblades swing faster. My personal recommendations would be the Olympia and the Fairy Harp keyblades.
I think this was done on ps3. Cause I'm on ps4 and can NOT do this strategy what so ever. I get the pattern going for a little bit, and then he breaks his own game mechanics and pulls a long slash out of nowhere. Then I'm at 1hp, he does his ultimate and kills me
its like you get 1st hit, wait 2 seconds then full 3 hit combo then a 2 second wait for riku to finish laughing after he deflected your 3rd hit in your combo and repeat. it not too hard, just keep trying and yo'll get it
I did it in a slightly different way. I equipped fairy harp for a little quicker combo, and equipped a combo plus. If you time it just right (which isn't hard to do) it has the same effect

I tried that in the original but when I hit the Dark Firaga back at him it didn't damage him.

Yeah i ended up using the neverland key and it worked a lot better, though it did take a while to get the pattern right

It's a while ago. I did it the legit way. It took hours, but I've done it that way. Thank you all for helping me understanding what happened. :)
