Weve seen fletcher kick an 80mtr torp on the run and fev kick a 65_70 torp off 2 steps , none the less it was entertaining to watch and sad to think that Danny could sink to such a low piont in his life to not want to go on , while he was so loved by so many. 50m on the footy field is ACTUALLY 50m. I have no Idea why they call it the "50m mark" when really its only like 40ish metres in real scale. So Drew Petrie's 60m kick would've been from the centre circle on the MCG I believe.
Let's be honest, wind was against them, those kicks were massive, look at Travis Cloke absolute massive kick and he was having trouble and he easily kicks goals from 50 and he was using a torpe
makes sense that some AFL players have gone on to be punters and kickers in the NFL, these guys kick fucking 60 meter monsters on the reg, and I've definitely seen a video of a goal over 80 meters
Football is played on football fields, not across bloody rivers. Do it properly, have the contest at the Punt Road oval. Now that that is out of my system 'water football' would be a good game...a patch of grass at either end and a pool in the middle...could be a fun game in summer.
