Charlie, if you happen to be around the old Fort McPherson, or what is now Tyler Perry's studios, there's a road off of Campbellton Rd SW called Kenilworth. I was born in the house at 1240 Kenilworth SW and I'd love to see video of it!!! I haven't been able to get there in decades and would love to see what it looks like now. Thc.
This is not something that happens overnight, or even a couple years if that’s what you’re saying, I guarantee this area has been like this for decades.
Less money to Ukraine equals a greater chance of success for Putin. He will then continue to try and expand his Russian Empire dream. Eventually he will attack a NATO member which then involves the USA. At present your politicians don't seem to be able to see the parallels between his ambitions and those of Hitler which resulted in WW2 and which the US originally thought was too distant to affect them until the attack on Pearl Harbour by the Japanese an ally of the 3rd Reich.
Me too . Longtime follower of Charlie's channel . Excellent content . Very relaxing channel after a long work day . Its nice to sit up late & binge Charlie's videos
This area is mostly abandoned. In the lead up to the 1996 Olympics, the Atlanta City Government started a massive project to "clean up" the hood image the city had. The first step was closing all the public housing within the city limits and gradually pushing people out to the burb. As time went by, these neighborhoods lost more and more residents.
Lmao this goes on whether theirs a dem, republican or liberal etc etc. the simple fact is that they don’t care and besides the gov in Atlanta is a Republican. He doesn’t give a crap about this state. Other than the checks and gas tax thing what has he done to improve the state? Not a damn thing
This is an incredibly simplistic view of American economics and history. Please read more about the history of American cities and manufacturing during the 20th century
They are called intersections, and if there is a stop sign, one has to stop. There is generally no "give way to vehicle on right" without a stop sign in the US.
Definitely not the ideal video for the Chamber of Commerce. In that area, you will see where some owners have tried to keep a house and small yard nice. There are always attempts to gentrify individual houses. However, those efforts don't seem to make a dent. The next time you are on the south side of Atlanta, it would be interesting to see what the Ben Hill area looks like. Fifty-some-odd years ago, it was an area of middle-class neighborhoods. I would be curious to see how Ben Hill is doing now. Thanks for the good work.
Why they ain’t building skinny houses in the hood like they been doing in Nashville it’s been awkward and funny up here when they realized they house been built in hood 😂😂😂
When was this filmed? Bc the homes at the 1:16 mark arent there anymore and havent been for some years now. The white one is gone and the red one has a new house in its place according to google maps.
This is a reupload from maybe five years ago when he did a drive around English Ave and Vine City, an area otherwise known as "the bluff." I am not sure when he has been here recently. As I and other fans here on the channel have pointed out, while this area looks like hell, very few people actually live there. In Atlanta, some of the more populated "hood" areas are actually further away from the city center. Think Stone Mountain, South DeKalb, Clayco, Westside Atlanta, etc.

Do people even live there or is ur a ghost town
Didn’t you see people walking down the streets, If it was a ghost town the streets would be dirty & them grasses and trees would be bushy
Some of these houses are worth 600K.
600K pesos, or $10,000 US dollars.
That close to downtown they should be.
Back then early 2010s, 2000s, they were 23K to 90K

Clean off the abandoned lots!
