Dear Ronnie, can you explain me please, when people saying :" have you heard the news", does it mean that they heard the news but not very carefully?
Hello, it means that the person doesn't know if you already know about the news so they asking if you already know them. Have you heard the news? = do you already know what happened? It is not related to the attention or care. Hope it helped.
