If you want to know the total and you just can't wait...go to 7 minutes and 46 seconds to take a look at my monthly outgoings. This is my personal cost, so yours will probably be different to some degree. Wishing you all a fantastic day ❤
@@andyault7576 Thank you, and all the best with your decision, I love this life, and it's not without its issues, but most of the time I can't complain, the freedom you get is the best. Have a wonderful day ❤️
Newbie subscriber here. Hi Cat, enjoyed your vlog of monthly outlay costs personal to your set up. Surprisingly lots of Vanlifers give a similar outlay figure based on Van already paid for circa £700 to £800 a month. Shocked at how steep your insurance costs you. Im guessing its cos you are still a young un and perhaps Rig is converted not as spec Coach built by r3ecognosed professional firm like say Autosleeper. Liked your background music, reminded me of a band ive always liked since early 2000 called Zero 7. Anyway enjoy your freedom and adventures and look forward to next vlog.
I have been doing full van life now for 6 mths and my outgoings are 800 a mth,but getting cheaper as not moving around as much as i am in the summer, nice cozy nights with me doggy can't beat it,be good nice vlogs
@@Travellingrobbo Hi there, and thanks for watching 😊Yes i don't think I'm too far out with what an avarage month would look like for most people. And absolutely, this time of year is about nuggle time with the pup, as soon as it goes dark its definitely time to get the bed set up and get some nuggle time in. Take care, and stay warm and nuggled. Cute pupster btw ❤️
@Vanlife_With_Miss_V I nearly bought a sossy dog but I heard they might have trouble with there backs hopefully not yours, so cute by the way, I ended up with cockerpoo as it doesn't molt but to lively nevermind, looking forward to your adventures be good
Thanks for doing a costs video. I really find them interesting, not just cos I’m nosey🤥, but I’d like to do full time vanlife some day and, although some people don’t like talking about money, you need to be able to work out if you afford to live in a van. My only vice is tea, it’s all I drink. I even take a small camping stove in the back of the car to make a brew. Oh, and it has to be Yorkshire Tea (I’m not sponsored by them 😂).
@@matthewvaughan6327 I'm the same, I've carried a camping stove in my car for years for tea lol, I'm glad I'm not the only one. And I agree, I think its good to know what kind of costs youre letting yourself in for. Before i did this I didn't have much of an idea how much it would cost to live this way, and I think I'm pretty frugal, I'm not into material things, which is good cos i don't have the room to carry stuff. As long as i have tea, a roof over my head, food in my belly and a warm blanket...oh and obviously Miss V :) I'm good 😊 All the best if you do decide to give van life a go, I'm happy to answer any questions if i can. Wishing you a great day ahead ❤️
@Vanlife_With_Miss_V thanks Cat, I appreciate it. If you need any mechanical advice, even if it's just a second opinion on something a garage has told you, let me know.❤️
I'm anotherTea Belly & one who has a stove, tea & milk in his car for brews 😊 I don't drink anything else, nor smoke. Currently looking at buying a replacement camper/motorhome, undecided which to go for & weighing up the fors/against of each. Your thoughts are appreciated 😊
@keepitreal1547 Tea Belly 😁. I think the biggest decision you make when choosing a van is whether you want to be able to get under car park barriers i.e. a fixed or elevating roof smaller van, or something larger. In my experience, you wouldn't want to spend long periods in a small van. Some people can manage it, but if you're planning on longer breaks, I would hire a small van and see how you cope before buying one. One thing you can do in all motorhome sizes is enjoy a cuppa tea 👍
How do you go about finding places to park over night? Please Will be wanting to do the same in an upcoming camper/motorhome purchase. Prefer off the beaten track/nature if possible, otherwise anywhere recommended 😊
@@keepitreal1547 For me, its a combination of things, driving around and coming across a good spot, I rarely look at google maps, but I have done and I look for bodies of water, large fieles or country parks which usually have somewhere nearby if theres not a free carpark. Last night I stayed on the road leading to an industrial estate, and I have a view over fields and hills. I was tired, I didnt know the area but I just happened upon a pretty nice spot. I love nature but not every spot I stay at is where I would chose. I've parked on housing estates, and main roads but never in the line of sight of someones front door/ personal space. I hope that helps, maybe I could do a vlog on it sometime. Thank you for watching, wishing you a lovely day ❤️
@Vanlife_With_Miss_V Morning Cat (yes I've just read that's your name 😀) Thanks for your reply & such valuable information 👍 I take it you've not had any problems finding a place then or (dissatisfied) knocks on your door? Thanks, yes it would make an interesting & very worthy vlog 😀 You & Miss V, have a great day.
Hiya 😊 it's good to know how much monthly you need to live on to maintain your lifestyle. I am a similar amount too fuel is the most for me as its important to move on in your van not to be seen in the same place. If you stay in the same place you may as well be in a house ! Lol😂 It was nice seeing Southport I've not been there for a number of years. I love ice cream mmmmm😊
@@WifeyEdwards Yea, I dont like to stay in one place for more than a day, sometimes two I were to leave early and arrive late and its fairly remote and I'm not in anyones line of sight. I love Southport, when I lived in Wigan it was one of my go places, there's plenty of places to go and walk and I love being near water :) And ice cream, honeslty I'm such a kid when it comes to a real whippy ice cream with strawberry sauce and a flake🍦 now that makes me happy :) Have a great day ❤️
How do you only spend £140 a month on food? Mine is coming out at £400 just for me. I could probably reduce to £300. This is living in a caravan on my own. Any tips please, apart from don’t eat as much lol.
