  • The Tsunami Survival Capsule ( 2 Person ) was sent over Palouse Waterfall as a demonstration of its Strength and Door Seal capability. The waterfall is 298 ft high. The capsule was loaded with a dummy, ballast, accelerators, computer, camera etc and the Gross weight was 1000 lbs. On impact with the water below the capsule was doing 75 mph and the impact force was measured at just over 17.0 g.
The door seal kept a positive seal throughout the event.
A typical Tsunami Wave hits the beach at around 25 - 30 mph.
All debris impact testing was conducted in an Aerospace Test Lab for example, debris damming, sharp object penetration, large object impact, debris field fires (Thermal), etc.
We have 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 16 person capsules. Capsules are normally aspirated with close-able vents, exhaust valves and AIR tanks in the event of large methane release.
