モンゴル系のロックやラップを聴き始めて２０年経ちますが、The Hu程国際的に活躍してるバンドはいませんね。
OndarやHanggai等はまだ比較的日本でも買えましたが、他のモンゴル周辺（モンゴるだけでなく、蒙古族国や地域＝内モンゴルやTuva共和国とかあの辺）の音楽ってほとんど入手できなかったし、周りにモンゴルロックを聴いてる人がいなかったですが、The Huは安心して周りにも勧められるし、それによりようやくモンゴルロックを友人と語れるようになりました！

I was so afraid this band would be a flash in the pan after Yuve Yuve Yu and Wolf Totem. I am thrilled I was dead wrong. Banger after banger and ever the melodic songs are beautiful. GREAT BAND!!

Mongolia has always fascinated me and attracted me, but unfortunately I have never had the opportunity to go there. Every time I hear the HU just makes me want to pick up and go, there's something in their music that grips me in the guts and fires me up.
Managed to pick up tickets, they're coming to my country. Never thought I would be able to hear them live. I am very excited 😀

My favorite music has a good melody and lyrics. The Hu band goes beyond this level and fills us with the ancient Mongolian spirit. I can feel the power that can make the Mongol Empire the greatest in the world. The empire has fallen apart, but its spiritual power is unbroken and conquers again. We need it!

@-NemoMeImpuneLacessit Yup. It was not fun. Four fused vertebrae with a piece of metal about four inches long in me to help stabilize the spine. There was a chance I could've been paralyzed, but thankfully that didn't happen. I am grateful that I can still stand up and walk, though, with support from a walker. 🤘

I am thrilled to have seen the Hu Band in concert twice, and will see them again if I can. However, what made them so special for me in the beginning was the perfect blend of Metal with traditional. It seems that they have been veering more towards more heavily produced mainstream metal, with less of the wonderful Mongolian flavor. For example, there is a lot less throat singing than there was on The Gereg album. Wish all the best for this band. Great performers! Please look back just a little.
Actually, I rather enjoy how they've mixed things up a bit. We hear more of Jaya's vocals in the newer songs . . . and I like it! (Okay, so "Wolf Totem" will always be No. 1 for me, but "Mother Nature" holds special appeal for my cattle ranching roots, lol.)
