I think you made a mistake, the grinder attachment, "grinder and polishing tool", does not cost $55,000. That's a couple decimal points off, more like $550.00
you have to zero it yourself. place the wood even with the right edge of the sawblade, and zero the display. then you can use the encoder to measure. you have to re-zero after each cut. I've seen several of these devices on the market, and they are a time saver, just not as integrated as they could be if the manufacturer built one into the saw.
Sometimes the simple and inexpensive ideas are the most ingenious. I do like when you tell a products price during the review so we can decide if its worth the time to go explore.

For $500, you could get a decent drill press; however, the great advantage of a portable precision-angle drill guide is that it can be taken to the workpiece or workplace.
@@Tensquaremetreworkshop If you say so, I don’t doubt it. But I do seriously doubt that a $40 imitation can match the Woodpecker’s build quality and precision.
@@Tensquaremetreworkshop You obviously are not familiar with Woodpecker tools and their renowned quality. Rutland sells tools that, for the most part, are imitations of original brands. But if his use is occasional, or if precision is not an issue, then the $40 alternative is a reasonable option.
