That’s true. It reflects what most people own, daily driver “real 4wds” with the 2 inch lift and minor bar work. Not the 4 inch lifted Patrols running 35 inch Super Swampers, custom mandrel bent snorkels, double d’locks and thick deep noted exhausts. Was good to see. I personally wouldn’t own a Pajero but I liked the vid. Plus he was s really nice bloke and well spoken.
I wish this guy was my neighbor, what a wealth of knowledge and creativity with his design and layout. Of course I'd go broke trying to keep up. Great video and guest Ronny.
Yeah Spot On All jokes aside this is an awesome family orientated combo to see. Ronny i like the fact that your modified series has so many different types of cars and setups even amongst same make and models. And that you show the trailer setups in the episodes.
Having picked up one of these for $2000 in excellent running condition.. I'm happy to see an owner who has kept their's since new in such good condition and invested a lot of time and money into it!
Good one Ronny. I do like how you keep things positive and point out all the good stuff but are not afraid to ask about the not so good either. No showing up the brand or the owners of the brand they spend their hard earned cash on. And I’m sure you have your own opinions but are smart enough to let the owner and the brand shine through. Well done.
Gen 3 pajero represent!!!!! Love to see more pajeros in future episodes. Alot more modded out there than this. Very underrated 4x4. A Pajero gen 3/4 with 2 inch lift and standard tyre has more clearance than a patrol with 35 inch tyres
This has to be one of the most well equipped modified rigs you've had on the show. The owner sounds like he knows his stuff to which is awesome! Great video!
Another great modified session, I have the very same vehicle but the 3.2 turbo diesel, super reliable and very good off-road, 325,000 kms, had since 2004, just love it, thanks Ronny for the look at his?
I have serviced a few of the 4m41 Pajero's that have done over 500,000km here in NZ and they were still in good condition and seemed like they had plenty more life left in them.
That's one of the best Modified episodes yet, Ronny!, thoroughly enjoyed it! There has been a serious amount of thought gone into that complete setup. I've seen a lot of Brett's work on the Drifta Facebook pages, he is a very knowledgeable bloke when it comes to camp setups, well worth listening to him.
I have the exact bloody style but 2003, accept the roof rack is a Tradesman alloy and my wagon is 3.8I V6 Diesel Turbo, minus the bright mirrors, mine are gloss black. This is awesome. Great great wagon, love it. Cheers Ronny, ATB Moose
All these lovely vehicles and set ups. I am in the market for a new set up and each time I watch a modified, I think ''ooh, that looks good, add it to the list". Dammit, its meant to get shorter, not longer over time, and I've been researching for a good 18months or so.
Really well decked out vehicle and trailer Brett. I love the thought that has gone into this. It's great seeing a different vehicle on Ronny's channel too, nice work.
I really love these videos. It's my favorite You Tube channel at the moment. Only 1 thing I'd like to see and I know it's not a big deal - when showing the details of the vehicle at the start i would like to see how many kms each vehicle has done.
Don't let Andrew St. Pierre-White see this. Brett was awesome, any chance he can join you on your expeditions? 28:57, the family poltergeist wants lunch.
Love this setup, for camping with friends, ask him if he can do a walk around with the whole tent up and ready. Seems as a great alternative to caravan "camping".
Great video.. Agree with the diesel observation about the fuel pump as it cost me $5500 for a second hand unit.... Still has not stopped me from buying another PJ..
Dan Perkins + I too have a gen 2 and am from the states. This set up is ridiculous! I'd love to have half of his stuff. Hell I'd never come home equipped like that.
Wow Ronny, Top video mate, well done. Although this video is 12 months old, This would have to be one of the most comprehensive touring/ camping set ups I have ever seen. I take my hat off to Brett, for putting it all together and for his product knowledge and confidence of such. Although there has been considerable amount spent on Paj and the trailer its all good quality equipment that will last for many years to come. Good luck Brett might see around the traps somewhere. :-)
Nice rig, the car, not the beer belly, ha ha ha. Wow he is Mr Accessory! Sounds like a nice bloke too. Pretty thirsty beast though, that would hurt at the pump.
Drinking game Every time the owner of the four-wheel drive Brett says yep yep you have to do a shot for every yep and everytime he says spot on you must chug a beer 🇦🇺🍻🤙🏼
Does not look like a daily set up/tear down and drive combo. I'm sure it works well for travel far, stop camp a while with the small European village campsite, and drive back home a week later. Nice stuff.
A tonne of Oztent, Drifta and ARB gear, that would all cost an absolute fortune, probably twice the cost of the car. Those are premium price point brands.
If this was my truck every one of those drawers would be full of tackle boxes and fishing gear. "So when I get to the fishing hole I just pop open this drawer and pull out my hooks and sinkers, I have a little table for tieing lines and I'm ready to go. If the fish aren't biting I have 75 other drawers full of different lures to try."
Great faith in a 15 year old vehicle to keep investing in it. Just goes to show that if you look after your vehicle how long it will last. I don’t think a 2017 / 18 vehicle will last to 2032 though!
Bob Pfaff completely agree, it's the VW theory as mechanics call it pre 2014 diesel VW cars are guaranteed to last forever but the new stuff with all the emissions regulations crap just give up and suffer from cheaper parts the old diesel vans were know to do 250,000 to literally millions of miles, I bought an ex taxi shuttle bus with 1,500,000 MILES on the clock original engine and gearing the newer ones are still capable of 250,000 but it is basically the same engine as the 2011 with more crap and turbos
Petrols will generally go the distance with minimal financial outlay... New model diesel’s though are another story all together. Expect to have to outlay big bucks at the same age. Not like diesels of old with the new emissions technology on them that is plagued with problems. New problems on top of existing problems that the modern diesels already had.
assuming your American, in Europe Diesels are substantially cheaper, more reliable and more efficient. but some lack the performance of petrol however that is changing with the incoming of bigger turbos. petrol engines typically only last 100,000 miles whereas diesels last atleast 200,000 if looked after properly much more
No wonder his fuel consumption is so high.. sounds like he carries the whole thing even if its just him. Cool setup, would highly recommend thinking about the environment.
Valve stem seals are a thing to look out for on the NM Pajero (petrol) and of course the usual... oil leaks.. funny electronics..etc Also wheel bearings. NP fixed an issue with them.
He talked about Pajero 4, but made a mistake and said Pajero 3. They are very similar. He said he liked Pajero 2. From my point of view, the only major downside of generation 3 and 4 is the very limited travel of front suspension. And the best is like the owner here said, a very versatile car, good for city and outside it.
Rohnny! Love your videos mate, been subscribed for a long time. I recently traded off a single cab 79 for a gen 4 pajero and will never look back. Id love to see a gen 4 pajero modified episode!!
Is it a diesel? What year? Have you taken it off road? I'm thinking of buying a 3.2 L diesel auto (after 2013) and would like to hear your experiences; esp, as you had a 79 which I assume must have been pretty capable off road.
@@dimitristsagdis7340 hey mate, yes 3.2 diesel 2017. Its awesome still love it so much more useable and comfortable for my style of use. Seems to take on challenges with ease off road very capable for the type of stuff i do (no hardcore rock crawling) but awesome on the beach too. Just does everything well. 79 honestly was not as capable as people make them out to be it was overrated. Got bogged in wet grass a few time and thought wtf. Wasn't comfortable at all either on longer drives. Pajero has it all and does it all.
Great video and great guest. Can't help but think it's a fairly big advert for Drifta though. Should probably been some disclaimer here. Particularly as Ronny now seems to be using the same thing.
that dude is cool as I just brought the same car pajero 3.5 liter petrol and I'll definitely get it super charged I'm in Queensland I'd love to get a hold of that bloke just to puck his about the pajero what a top bloke these videos are really cool no negative stuff just people that love there stuff go the super charger
This guy is an absolute legend. I haven't pulled the trigger to by a 4x4 yet, however it's nice to see such a nice community of people around it!
This is the most interesting guy you have had on your show yet, boy he knows his stuff and so well set up
One of my easiest interviews yet 👍
good to see a rig thats not all about big tires and big lift

I own a Prado, so does that answer your question?
@@cliffbooth7075 Can't say that it does. I don't know what a Prado is.
@@cliffbooth7075 I'm American.
I like it, Pajero very underrated. Intelligent people don’t seem to jump on bandwagons either...

Wow I love that trailer! It's a mini village 😂
when an IT Genius does camping... nice build
This has to be one of the most well equipped modified rigs you've had on the show. The owner sounds like he knows his stuff to which is awesome! Great video!
This dude has a sweet set-up with the rig and trailer.Very impressive! Mad organizational skills.
This guy knows how to tour. Saw him in another video with his chopped 200 series tourer and all the work he'd done to it. Had to watch this
Not a pajero fan but this is the best build ever, and this guy has everything you need want or desire, epic build,, 100 %
Probably the best set up rig for camping thus far. Well done to this bloke.
What a great guy
I liked him too! He knew his set up well, was keen to describe it, but never came across as a know it all.
Great guy Gary
His beer gut is on point, I thought my dad one was good
XriPidEffectsXX , haha; don’t drink beer... just too much fast food in my diet!!! :-)
What a setup! This guy has dropped some serious coin at Drifta, but the quality of their stuff speaks for itself.
This dude would talk ya ear off after a few cans I reckon.... “yeh yeh spot on” sounds like a good bloke tho
😂
Best modified episode yet, he really knows his stuff and is so well spoken keep it up!!!
Best modified yet, what a well spoken, chill knowledgeable guy
Even the rear set in the paj is perfect. Giving me so many ideas for my 04 petty. Thanks for the great vid.

I'm not a huge trailer fan but that trailer is awesome. Very nicely setup.
That's the quietest Ronny has ever been on a video!
Great modified, some fantastic ideas
Well Done Ronny! Nice to see you on the East Coast!

Father of the year.
At last! a Modified Episode with someone running a decent pair of LED Lights!
Great family build. Spot on!
that is one well set up rig, trailer and vehicle, it must of taken a lot research and time to get to that setup, top rig Brett
Rolly B thanks mate!!!
MOOSEDOWNUNDER they come in 3.2 turbo diesels and 3.5/3.8 petrols? You can't have both engines in one haha
i hope u dont service ya own car. u cant even tell the difference between a 3.8 v6 petrol and a 3.2 in line 4clyn turbo diesel
On a side note, a 3.8 v6 td would be mad under the bonnet
Go the Paj.... the supercharger setup looks good 🖒
All these lovely vehicles and set ups. I am in the market for a new set up and each time I watch a modified, I think ''ooh, that looks good, add it to the list". Dammit, its meant to get shorter, not longer over time, and I've been researching for a good 18months or so.
Beautifully build Pajero mate. Love it
Drifta have some awesome gear, pricey but worth paying for the quality, we use some of their gear & cant fault it, nice paj, I like it
Q&A already! That was a quick half hour. Was entertaining looking at ALL the bits in this thing!
Really well decked out vehicle and trailer Brett. I love the thought that has gone into this. It's great seeing a different vehicle on Ronny's channel too, nice work.
It's a cool rig, no drama. And spot on!
Best modified to date.

Mate, I am also a Pajero and OZ Tent guy! Good on you mate, love your setup
Although I also have Drifta camping gear, it was very interesting to watch that Modified Episode conducted in gorgeous Gloucester. One of your best.
Don't let Andrew St. Pierre-White see this. Brett was awesome, any chance he can join you on your expeditions? 28:57, the family poltergeist wants lunch.
St pierre white is probably sponsored by toyota. His reviews are often biased and hypocritical.
THANK FOR VIDEO AS GREAT SET IN PAJERO AND TRAILER
Wonderful video Ronny totally awesome Mate love watching it keep them more coming to look forward to watching more from you :-)

Great information Ronny.
Not the first time Brett Hooker has ended up infront of a camera, such a rig.
love to see a dyno sheet of that 6g75 supercharged!
neat feature too, the auto opening drawer
Valve stem seals are a thing to look out for on the NM Pajero (petrol) and of course the usual... oil leaks.. funny electronics..etc Also wheel bearings. NP fixed an issue with them.
I knew he was a bike rider. That physique gave it away.
Jezzz this build is amazing
It’s like a slap on the face to Andrew St.pierre 🤣😂
He's not a fan, is he? Lol
I’m pretty sure Andrew liked that model, he didn’t rate the newer model though from memory.
No Andrew loved the model is was the next one he didn't like this specific year though was the odd one where they started turning to family SUVs

Awesome a drifta advert .
You will always see what you want to see... if you look hard enough you’d probably see an ARB ad too... just saying
Ronny Dahl the shirt was a bit much .. drifta have enough of there own videos
Ive had that type of supercharger before on a Dunnydore got off the line real nice, i bet this would like the dunes!
Trailer is a little too much for me, But i love the Paj. I have the Diesel, and i wouldnt swap it for anything.
Yeah spot on. What a rig.
