The best part of Endo's signing is he provides defensive cover when he comes off the bench. Before it used to be James Miller but Endo does a better job without needing to get booked. His debut against Newcastle after Van Dijk got sent off kept the score at 1-0 because he can read well. He does struggle against quicker teams but he's a solid squad player.

The likes of Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboslai have been standout performers for Liverpool this season, as Mo Salah continues to show why he's one of the best players in the world and might be the best player in the premier league right now and Dominik Szoboszai has hit the ground running since his big money move to Liverpool, we should also give credit to Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson. Virgil Van Dijk has been the best defender in the world for the last 4 years, he as a CB seriously was so close to winning the Ballon Dor, last season just like the entire team, he struggled and his performances put him under scrutiny from fans and pundits as some believed he was washed and past his best, remember in sports, you cannot write players off and this season he has bounced back impressively and he's been excellent of late, Alisson has been one of Liverpool's most consistent players in recent years and time and time again under difficult circumstances he makes critical saves and distributes the ball so so well.
While defensively he's not the best it's somewhat improved this season, Trent Alexander Arnold is more useful in a hybrid fullback role/ right back drifting into the midfield to collect the ball whenever they have possession and it adds a different dimension to the team from an attacking perspective. They also have depth defensively Joel Matip Joe Gomez Quansah Tsmikas and Andy Robertson when fully fit. Liverpool have exceeded expectations this season and are much stronger than last season and they have a chance to compete for the premier league title and win at least 2-3 trophies.

Liverpool's midfield was very worrying because Fabinho and Jordan Henderson were well past their prime and ended up going to Saudi Arabia, Thiago Alcantara can no longer be relied upon due to his consistent injury problems and in the summer I knew that Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Callister would be very good signings they needed a number 6 to complete the midfield rebuild. Unfortunately in a span of a week, they missed out on both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia as both players ended up going to Chelsea, and while Endo isn't a Rodri Sergio Busquets Casemiro N"Golo Kante type of defensive midfielder, at least when he plays he offers them protection in the back 4 and he can cover ground and stop them from being too open and they could sign a number 6 in January to further elevate their team but he's a good option to have from the bench.
Dominik Szoboszlai has been on fire for Liverpool. What he has brought to their midfield both offensively and defensively, Liverpool benefit from his presence in the team as he's a risk taker technical hard working and offers a level of creativity that they never had and might be their best midfielder since Steven Gerrard and he's also very versatile. Alexis Mac Callister isn't a defensive midfielder and Liverpool have gotten away with it in a lot of the games, and even while not playing in his natural position he has put in some tidy performances not perfect, but at least he's taking sacrifices just to help the team and when they get a number 6, he'll be used in a more advanced role. I've also been very impressed by Ryan Gravenberch because when Liverpool signed him, people saw him as a panic buy due to him not playing at all for Bayern Munich, and Jurgen Klopp clearly sees he has value in his team and he has played more and has been excellent, you got those 4 Mac Callister Szoboszlai Gravenberch Endo along with Curtis Jones Harvey Elliott and Stefan Bajcetic and you could possibly sign a number 6 in the winter transfer window to elevate your team. Liverpool have more quality and depth in their midfield and what I'm impressed about this is even after missing out on Jude Bellingham who by the way has had a crazy start since joining Real Madrid, they were able to still rebuild that midfield by signing quality and proven players like Mac Callister and Szoboszlai and still get the players for good value and Liverpool are one of the best ran clubs in world football and this plays a role in their resurgence.

I suppose if you are a non Liverpool fan you don't know all of this, Liverpool fans know all of this already. The failure last season was arguably (before you disagree) down to injuries throughout the season, the defence were out, then the midfield was out, Jota was out. Plus Fabinho and Hendo were knackered or/and were badly off form. If you noticed when players got back in the last months of last season Liverpool's form returned and just missed out on top 4. This season we had lots of injuries but when one play got injured one was coming back hence we managed to stay challenging and are currently top. Quansa replaced the Injured Matp seamlessly. Elliot and Jones improved to be proper players. Bradley appeared on the seen. Endo has got better, Macca is has been great. Szoboszlai done well, some bad games. Gravenbirch and Gapco need to do better. Diaz form is back. Jota is playing great. Salah hasn't been that much apart from against Arsenal as was Bradley. Liverpool have done well despite missing key players, watch out if we get a normal injury level season, they will be on fire.

The rotational possibilities of this squad are incredible. On a par with Man. City, without facing 115 charges for breaking EPL spending rules. With Salah back, there's enough choice for the front three to cover major injuries. At the back, I'd favor Bradley over TAA, but TAA is too skillful to exclude, so he should move to the midfield and increase the rotational possibilities. We could tailor the side to match the opponent.

Liverpool not too long ago was one of the best teams in the world and had a very cohesive unit under Jurgen Klopp and they won every trophy available to them they almost won a quadruple and even if they have 1 league title in the last 6 years, they were the only team realistically capable of going toe to toe with Manchester City for the premier league title and achieved this feat on a couple of occasions. Last season was difficult, no trophies missed out on champions league football and all of this was down to an aging squad injuries lack of quality depth and struggles in the midfield.
This season, due to their summer rebuild especially in the midfield, Liverpool look back to their very best and they are serious contenders for the premier league title this season. I feel like this Liverpool team is deeper than ever before because their attack is scary, although Mohamed Salah Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane were one of the best attacking trios we've ever seen in the premier league, they have more attacking firepower with Mo Salah Diogo Jota Darwin Nunez Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo. They're all very good different profiles who are versatile and have so much flexibility and this allows Liverpool to be fluid and more options coming off the bench. Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz experienced injury plagued seasons but this time around both of them are back in form, Diogo Jota has chipped in with goals in recent weeks played well as a LW and a CF, Luis Diaz has shown us that he can fill the void left by Sadio Mane on the left wing, Cody Gakpo has been a very good signing for Liverpool performed well at LW CAM, and he does his best Roberto Firmino impression in that false 9 role, and Darwin Nunez has had a better 2nd season at the club and has formed a formidable partnership with Mohamed Salah and although their talisman could've went to Saudi Arabia last summer, he has continued to show his excellence and 10 goals 4 assists in 12 games, his numbers speak for itself. For me, I always saw Liverpool's attack as their biggest strength and even after losing Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in a span of 12 months, they still have Mohamed Salah who's world class, and with Jota Diaz Nunez and Gakpo, they have goals and quality within them and that alone is why they're winning so many games and are a difficult team to go up against.

Nunez was never the firmino replacement, he dosent share any of firmino traits neither his role of . while firmino was a false nine drpoping to form a midfield diamond and enabling the wingers, Nunez is a more classic number 9 focusing on making vertical runs and stretching the defensive line.
it was Gakpo that came as a firmino replacement.

    @roccaflocca4312 8 месяцев назад +2

Diaz is Mane's replacement, but is never going to score as many goals.
Gakpo is Firmino's replacement, with less flair, plays more directly, and still does the overall work that Firmino did.
I thought they were going to mold Jota into Firmino's replacement, but I was wrong, and Gakpo has that skill set. But Jota is his own thing, for his own time.
Nuñez is also his own thing. He was brought for pure goal output, and should be scoring them. He's just insanely unlucky. He should be getting those 30 goals a season, but his set ups for Salah are really the best part of his game. Still no Firmino, and does his best work on the left.
When Salah goes, it's tough to say whether LFC look for a pure goalscorer on the right or another set up man to try to get more goals out of Nuñez. On pure stats and style, Johann Bakayoko is probably the best bet, and a name already mentioned, but they could go a lot of ways, and we don't even know who's going to make that call going forward.

Sobozlai being stunning and pretty much a Bargain for Klopp his easly 150m+ in value from what hes done for Liverpool and Hungary, Graven Birch being a bench warmer for Buyern Munich to being a relentless midfielder with his rapid pace and exceptional passing. If Klopp continues with this form he will win 2 or 3 trophies this season

  • @colindouglas7769

Believe me, Liverpool got the best midfielder out of Brighton: Alexis Mac Allister. As we have seen this season, Caicedo, for what he has shown at Chelsea so far, shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Macca, and has Lavia even played for Chelsea yet or is he gathering dust somewhere in Boehly's WC at the Bridge? Macca can play at CDM, but it's not his natural and best position in my opinion; and with Szobo out, he has shown what he can do in a more advanced position in the last couple of matches. Having a more natural CDM in Endo, has unleashed Macca and he, in turn, is having a good effect on Harvey Elliott's game. What can I say about Endo? Wow, what a warrior he is, and at £16.5M probably Klopp's best value signing pound for pound of the midfield rebuild. I remember seeing him playing for Japan in the Qatar FIFA World Cup and his performance in keeping Luca Modric quiet for 90 minutes in their group match victory over Croatia was crucial. The Stuttgart fans loved him and they were devastated when he moved to Anfield; that speaks volumes for the job he did for them, and I have no doubts whatsoever that he'll get better and better for Liverpool and keep doing his job to the very best of his ability and those Liverpool fans who were doubting him when he first came in are slowly starting to see his true value to the team. He just never gives up and gives his opponent no peace; he's like a dog with a bone and Liverpool have not lost a game when he's been in the team (15 starts; 13 wins and 2 draws). I love our wee Japanese Samurai!
There's so much more to admire about Klopp's rebuilt Liverpool, not just the Summer recruits, but the emergence into the first team squad of Jarell Quansah, Conor Bradley, Bobby Clark and others from the academy, all showing a maturity beyond their tender years. Joe Gomez's versatility standing in at left back has been a revelation, when covering for injuries to Robbo and Kostas. Liverpool Football Club is not just top of the Premiership and have reached the 100-goal milestone in all games played this season, they have a squad which will not require many additions to be brought in by Jurgen Klopp's successor as Manager (hopefully Xabi Alonso). The new manager will have a top class squad of players ready to go from Day One and owners who have run the club properly and kept the club within the FFP rules, unlike the blue half of Manchester, whose disregard for the FFP Rules has resulted in City having 115 charges of financial misconduct hanging over their heads.

Chelsea will definitely get better over time but still Lavia and Caicedo aren't going to be winning trophies at Chelsea and if they care about anything other than money they'll regret going to Chelsea.

That part about Endo has aged well, he´s better DM than Caicedo and Lavia. Probably best LFC signing considering the price that has been paid.

I don’t know where you got your information from but, Liverpool target all summer was lavia not caicedo. Lavia only rejected us after we fked around by not paying a couple million.

There was never any question.... We really need to worry next season and the next 10 years, a top 5 finish is not a "bad finish" plus #jurgenklopp was supposed to leave in 2021, and #mane going was brilliant, and #firmino was too old and cant play as a starter anymore at that level, and #mane just never really made it after he left. #diaz and #nunez are going to be amazing in a 2 years if our manager is any good
