I bought this laptop about a month back and am mostly happy with it. The high refresh rate display is great for a budget priced laptop and on power saver the battery actually lasts for a few hours unlike gaming laptops I've owned previously. I do have a few gripes with it that are important to note: -The plastic is a fingerprint magnet. Small complaint but wanted to note -M.2 boot drive is a 42mm form factor. There is a second, full size M.2 slot, but it does not include the standoff needed to install the new drive -The charge cable has no 90-degree bend which could leave it more susceptible to damage, especially if you have bigger pets or children around -This one was bigger: On battery (NOT plugged in), every 10 seconds the laptop would stutter for a fraction of a second. This affected general windows tasks, scrolling in applications, and watching videos. SOLUTION for the fourth complaint: I found out it's an issue happening where the 3050ti tries to take over in place of the iGPU (despite being on battery and power saver where it should remain idle). To stop that happening, open device manager, under 'display adapters' find the 3050ti, right click it, and disable it if you have this problem when the laptop is not plugged in. That will leave just the iGPU running and stutters disappear - when you go to plug it back in, simply re-enable the 3050ti using these same steps and it'll work just fine!
Are you sure the last point isn't a manufacturing defect with your device specifically? I haven't noticed this issue, but I don't have the 3050ti model. On the bright side in most cases disabling the dedicated GPU is a good idea to save battery life while on battery. Unless you're planning to game while on battery which is questionable anyway.
@@ahmadalkhateeb1180 That is definitely possible. Searching online, it seems like there are lots of people with various Lenovo gaming laptops that have the exact same issue, which makes me think it's a software issue that is somewhat prevalent across a portion of their devices

Damn I should've came back to this video after watching the new upgrade video you just released. I immediately bought this today after watching your other video. Immediately sold my old laptop that I just bought a few months ago to my roommate to this. Now I can run decent games at work or school when I have some free time.
BEFORE BUYING THIS LAPTOP READ THIS!!!! The laptop mentioned in this video has the Ryzen 5 5600h, with the 3050ti. The Ryzen 5 processor is a pretty significant bottleneck at about 22.6%. that means you aren't using the full capability of the 3050ti graphics chip as its only running at 77.4%. Having this bottleneck means you are missing out on a lot of fps and there is simply nothing you can do about it. I highly recommend getting the same laptop but with the i5 12500h. That one will allow your 3050ti graphics to be utilized to its max 100%. I have years of gaming experience with custom built gaming desktops and laptops and and I Understand hoe bad these bottlenecks can be. But that being said I absolutely love my Lenovo Idea pad gaming 3 with the i5 12500h-3050ti-16gb ram.
I bought two of the newer 2022 intel version during the black Friday sale from Lenovo, one for myself and one for my wife. I5 12500h, 8GB RAM, 256GB Gen 4 NVME, and RTX 3050Ti. With discounts they were $610 each. I added another crucial 8GB RAM and P5 1TB NVME storage drive to both. I'm very happy with them, except I wish the screen was better. We also got the Lenovo G27-20 1080P 144Hz monitors and the laptop screen has very washed out color in comparison, and doesn't get that bright. The integrated display also doesn't support adaptive sync. Something else that should be noted, I believe the USB-C video output on the model here is connected directly to the dedicated GPU, but on mine, the 2022 intel version, it and the built in display goes through the iGPU, while the HDMI port on the laptop is connected directly to the dGPU. So you get a little better performance using an external monitor through HDMI.

Bad screen, always adjusting brightens by it self (according to something, looks like more bright when picture is whiter and more dark when it is darker), battery draining instantly from 82-83% to 2-3%. Should I continue? My first and last Lenovo for sure!
To fix the battery drain issue you have to buy the 170W brick. The 135W one is not enough. $87 on Lenovo and you can sell your 135W for $50 so you're really only paying $37 for the 170W brick.

If you buy this laptop do not buy the suggested ram upgrade I bought one it made my laptop crash randomly while playing games so I bought a second one thinking it would fix the problem because they would match perfectly but no it made matters worse and crashed excessively I ended up buying a different brand and my laptop is now running smoothly so I suggest matching the exact one that it comes stock with or buying a matching set of another brand with the same specs other than that the laptop is perfect and is actually worth the actual price of 899 because it’s not on sale anymore at last I checked
My laptop is ideapadgaming 3, rtx 3060, amd 6000, ryzen 5, 8gb + 8gb = 16gb of ram, windows 11, and my highest was 38° without box fan in the back of it, but when i have a box fan my average is 36° - 35° my lowest is 33° last night was 34° i was playing apex, league, minecraft, lethal company, but lethal company wont let me go above 70+ fps but stable with tuner fps capper at 60fps prolly because the engine is new or sumn, but i can run the rest at 144+ fps, (highest was reaching 300fps) my monitor has 144hz but i play 120fps mainly, capped for stability, idk why but fps capping is really underrated it helps overall plus its actually smoother because theres no stutter to the fps so id rather cap than go with unstable high fps. Also i got my laptop for 865$, im planning on upgrading my ram and ofc monthly clean of laptop myself, cpu fan, thermal paste.
Can't the Ryzen GPU be disabled so to use only the Nvidia GPU? And FREE up the Ram Allotment for Ryzen? Got an Asus ROG Strix R7 3060 LT,not even opened yet, reason i'm asking...
Not sure if disabling it in software will free up the RAM because it's dedicated to the iGPU in the BIOS, but there is an option to reduce how much RAM is allocated (I know 1gb is an option, and maybe 256 or 500mb is the other?). Not sure if the BIOS has an option to totally disable the iGPU and free up all RAM though.
You can decrease the ram allotment in the bios i think, which is what I'd recommend. You could set it to like 512mb so that you can still use it just fine while not gaming for battery life but also get more avaliable ram
Non demanding games yes but games like warzone 2 or 3 or something like gta 6 it overheats on lowest settings and won't play for more than like 20 minutes but other games like valorant it can run fine

But that being said I absolutely love my Lenovo Idea pad gaming 3 with the i5 12500h-3050ti-16gb ram.
depend on which games you play, not that bottle neck for every game
I have i5 12500h but only 8gb ram
So you get a little better performance using an external monitor through HDMI.
i bought a screen replacement on AliExpress. 165Hz and sRGB 100%. Night & day difference.
