Think Thank was the first Blur album I bought with my own money. I had the previous albums but they were my Dadas and I just used them. An underrated album, very different to any of their other stuff, but unique. I do think it would have done better with Graham still in the band, but it is what it is. Also the fact that Damon wrote this song about Graham makes me want to cry, the two of them are so sweet and I’m glad that they sorted everything out.
@@wonka4 Damon said "“I wrote this looking at him on the wall. It was inspired by Graham and missing him.” Anyway, most of Think Tank songs are about Graham (I mean, listen to the lyrics of Battery in your leg and to the raw, emotional voice of Damon in this one), like producer Ben Hillier said "A lot of the songs on that record are about Graham. Damon channeled his feelings into that album. “Sweet Song” was done when the legal negotiations for the split with Graham were starting, and that was pretty horrible. Damon would have been quite emotional when he sang it in the cracked, vulnerable way he does. Like Graham, Damon can’t fake it. The most successful songs on Think Tank are sad songs like that.” Some songs on The Magic Whip are about Graham too. Well, My Terracotta Heart obviously, as confirmed many times by Damon, but when asked about the lyrics of the songs from this album, Alex replied "To be honest, I just assume they’re about Graham unless I’m specifically told otherwise!” Graham means a lot to Damon. They share a unique bond 🙂
@@wonka4 You're welcome 🙂 Now listen to Think Tank keeping those things in mind, listen to Damon's raw emotion, to the way his voice cracks, pay even more attention to the lyrics and I promise you'll have a complete new experience. It's been years and still, i can't listen to Sweet Song, Battery in your leg, Caravan... without being moved to tears...

Always been a favourite. Just...lovely.
Jesus, this brings me back to middle school...and yet I didn't understand the song until now.
"I deceive because I'm not that strong"
apparently damon wrote this song after Graham left blur and he was looking at a pic of gra.
