While in a waiting room, Damon Albarn explained he had seen a picture of Graham, after Coxon had left Blur, on the front cover of an issue of Dazed and Confused and was inspired to write Sweet Song.

This song made me fucking bawl without knowing the context of it, but then learning that Damon wrote this song for Graham makes me CrY A DaMn RiVeR omfg. Their such friendship goals and still good friends now. Absolutely amazing, and their history is amazing.
The fact that Damon wrote this song about Graham after he left the band just makes this so incredibly cute!

everybody with their middle school ships need to chill. they're like brothers. bands (especially famous ones that go on endless tours) are like families they hate each other and love each other just like siblings would.

I just want to say i can't meet my bestfriend because of quarantine. Eventhough you're allowed to go outside wearing a mask her parents still don't allow her to go and we haven't met for 2 months. I really miss her because we shared the same views and had a lot in common in our personalities. I've never had it with someone before. And now because of the circumstances i can't see the only person who i truly need the most. We both didn't know when would be the last time of our meeting so this makes everything even sadder. I think it has some parallel with graham and damon because graham started to appear on a studio more rare and when where was a last time he recorded with blur before leaving the band but same no one probably knew when would be the actual last time. Now i just listen to this song and battery in your leg and their lyrics has never been so close and so relatable for me as they are now

Whatever, I don't see Gramon as a gay ship. It's a bromance: two men who were close friends since they had 11, started their career together, not being uncomfortable at sharing their affection in public, went through ups and downs during their creative differences, become distant from each other and finally being enough mature to left behind the difference and save their friendship. It's a lovely story, isn't?
