The first time I heard this song I was sitting in a room with a bunch of guys at Teen Challenge (a rehab) I had just gone through a week of being dopesick cold turkey and was just starting to be able to see the light at the end of that tunnel, knowing that was just the beginning of the hard part I was feeling overwhelming anxiety so I just sat there and let this song wash over me, I cried my face off because I knew God was right there in the trenches with me... Today Im clean and just met the woman I want to marry... God is so good, and this song hits as hard as it ever did... As I write this I have goosebumps and my eyes are welling up... Keep your head up and your eyes on God and he will meet you right where you are... Amen

Which Teen Challenge?? The first time I heard this was at TC in Youngstown Ohio. Same story! Sick, out of my mind from Alcohol withdrawals, detoxing Cold Turkey… this song was like a lily in the Valley for me. I heard it and immediately my heart was changed, myself started to become clear! I could feel the Love of Jesus come in and begin to heal all that was broken. I could go on and on… but I’ll stop here and say Jesus is amazing and sobriety and freedom are possible and accessible!! Who is listening in 2024?
My 19-year-old friend passed today, due to the COVID pandemic it’s unlikely she will get a proper funeral even though she didn’t have the virus. I’ve listened to this song over and over and wept. Letting myself be held by Jesus and praying with all my heart her family will let Jesus hold them as well. Knowing my friend is being held by Jesus without any pain or limitation makes me weep even more. Thank you for this song❤️

I am not convinced by the bible that God trusts us with "us." I loved this song up until the singer started singing this... Why would God trust us with ourselves? We are capable of turning away just like Peter in a moment of weakness, fleshy desire, demonic attack, etc. We are capable and have shown our ability to return to our vomit. I cannot get myself to sing this part, it's no comfort at all... I don't want God to trust me" in me" because I believe in total depravity from reading scriptures. I prefer God to trust Jesus in keeping me to the very end.
I also don't believe that God is always in a good mood and is not "disappointed in us" when we sin. He suffers indignation every day. I am sure God was disappointed when he saw Samson's lewdness with women, Abraham's disobedience in striking the rock rather than speaking to it, David's sexual sin with Bathsheba...etc.
There's grace for error indeed, and He calls us higher - to the standard of Christ and to scripture.
I have been in my head for months. Dark thoughts, lies. I don’t ever write comments on videos like these because I don’t want to draw attention to myself, but I felt like someone needs to see this. Depression,the darkness is so easy to wallow in. So easy to sit in. I’m spiritual and mentally lazy because I’m a creative. I LEAD worship but that position means nothing to me because I want MORE of His love . I want to receive it in a way I’ve never received before. It is such a great quote. Its so real and personal and relatable and true. God's given us room for sin by covering the true believes in the blood of the lamb. But as true believers we are called to do better, be better, but its ok that we fail. Its that we come back from that fail stronger and we live more like He did. God gives us trials and tribulations to strengthen us, so that we can do better and enlighten others on our experience and lead fellow believers and more importantly those who don't believe. Witness with our words AND our actions, AND our contagious love and happiness for all those around us. God is so good. He is truly a love like no other, and i hope everyone joins me in aspiring to be more like Him. Don't let failure discourage you, push on! We all fail, but we are called higher! It's what God does!

I was shot by some unknown gun men and that led to a fracture of my femur bone,I lost lot of blood,after been rejected by several hospitals,I thought I won't make it, but JESUS saved me, I was not the same again went through series of painful stages... emotional pains, went through two different surgeries. But in all God is faithful
As a pastor, I could no longer go about preaching as I use to, but in all God is still with me, sometimes I felt like giving up, but listening to this song, I feel alive again.

The spontaneous part wrecks me every time. I hear in him the cry of every child that's been neglected or abused, whether psychologically or physically or emotionally, especially in certain cultures where parents treat their kids like they're idiots, frequently screaming profanity at them & smacking then. They think it'll make them tough, but, it just tears down their little spirits. Praise God we have a really good Father who can & does heal all that!

HALLELUJAH I AM FREE!!!! I have been struggling so deeply the past month the devil has been tearing me down and left me broken and helpless. I wanted to end my life, and those are NOT thoughts from my loving Father. But today I took a stand against the devil. I met with two of my powerful prayer mentors and I read out loud the letter of lies from the devil that I wrote out to get those thoughts on paper. They were so angry with the devil and one of the ladies said as I was reading she could feel the spirit of heaviness on her and she said satan was really torturing me. But not anymore!! Long story short we prayed hard and strong, I paced the room and rebuked the devil and his evil schemes and instead started speaking the TRUTH about what God thinks about me, his precious daughter. Im only 17 and the reason Satan keeps coming after me is because he sees me as a threat and is scared of the amazing things I'm going to do for God's kingdom. I am so grateful for fellow Christ followers who are thirsty for Him. I love my God. Thank you for your powerful worship, definitely moving in many people's lives. :)

I’m a teen and came to Christ this January. Ever since that day my life completely changed. I don’t have suicidal thoughts anymore, I finally feel loved and acknowledged instead of trying to work for popularity and validation from Boys and people in my year. I’m finally free. But also. The devil had been trying to tear me down for so long. Tryna make me fall into sin I’ve surrended to Jesus already. Well I thought so. Last month was the hardest for me. Because I felt so guilty for falling into the same sins again and again to the point where I thought I wasn’t forgiven. But. One day i thought of this song. I feel my faith has evolved, I’ve walked away from the idea of church, feel like so many unanswered questions But this worship style beckons me back to at least be with God. Sit with him. I know this comment is 8 months old but I just want you to be aware that Christ and Church are one as the church is His body. In Mark 10: 7-9 it is written that a man shall be joined with his wife, leaving his parents, and *they will no longer be two but one flesh.* Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate. Even in Ephesians 5:31, Paul repeats what Jesus said in Mark 10: 7-9. Here, Paul speaks a mystery about the passage. The mystery here is that it's being referred to as Jesus & church.
Many believers, today, try to separate Christ from the church. Your commitment to Christ is manifested in your commitment to the local church. You can’t say you love Jesus but not be committed to the local church. *Jesus said: My zeal is for the house of the father.*
In Acts 9: 4 Saul was persecuting the church until he had an encounter with Jesus. *Here, Jesus asked why are you persecuting me even though Jesus was already in heaven.* Saul was persecuting the church and not Jesus - but Jesus saw it as persecuting him as he and the church are one.
It is written in Psalm 92:13 that those planted in the house of the Lord will flourish in the courts of the Lord.
*The church is the GLORY and PRIDE of Christ.* The church may not be perfect but it is still the body of Christ. If we dishonour the church, we dishonour Christ.
Be committed, vibrant and involved. Have the mindset- how can I serve the church?
*The local church is a living expression of Christ on earth. Body of Christ is when we are all together in the local church.* Therefore be wise, and be inside the gate of the church so that hell doesn’t prevail against us(Matthew 16: 18) and we will automatically partake in the grace and anointing that is flowing in the church.
Forgive your local church if it has ever hurt you and live in prosperity. Prosperity is connected to honour. We honour the King of kings and become prosperous. We don’t give to get, we give out of honour. We will be unstoppable if we walk in honour. Honour is the most fertile soil in our hearts and nothing can stop us from receiving our blessings.

I used to listen to this so wellllll before it had a million views and I couldn’t quite connect with the spontaneous part. Him talking about being emotionally available....I didn’t get it, and I’ve always LOVED spontaneous worship. However, I’ve been going to counseling lately and it makes perfect since. Moral of the story: let God untangle that emotional hurt that’s blocking you from worship and loving others. It’s healthy and life giving

The words to this song so beautifully capture the gentleness, kindness, and tenderness of the Father’s love for us. It’s so easy to think God is far removed from us… or that when we mess up He moved in anger and disappointment rather than in love, like He truly is. The truth is, when we fall, He’s there to gently pick us up, dust us off, tend to our wounds and help us try again, just like a loving Father helps their child when they fall down.
He is good. He is kind. He deals gently with us. He truly is a love like no other.

This song is speaking to my soul....so many times have I felt dirty, unworthy for a love like our father, because of the choices I make. We may not feel emotionally stable when we fall, but god is pulling us towards his love! This is so pure. I'm 12 turning 13 in 2 days and I just love how I can 'breathe' through this song. His name 'Jesus' is amazing to me in itself. I can't describe to you how lost I used to be before I was introduced to him not just because I had to but because I was interested. In year 7 I was drained in this world and society to the point where I tried to change my appearance using subliminals and draw people to me through using them. In year 8 I had saw this guy at the airport and 'fell in love with him' to the point where I thought I was telepathically talking to him and that stopped me from listening to sublimans because I thought that God had brought someone in my life to love me for me. I fell in love with God in the wrong way for the wrong reasons. Year 9 now, been able to connect with God on his terms and truly just breathe in his love. ❣️ God is amazing! He is so perfect even perfect isn't perfect enough to describe him.

Recently me and my wife just moved to another town. I got a new job here. In the first two months plus I really enjoy my job. But two weeks ago, fear, anxiety, and self doubt started to attacking me. Please pray for me and my family to be able to continually to dwell in the rest and presence of Abba Father.

I love this song so much! It reminds me a bit of people with different attachment styles singing this to God with their deepest needs they missed in childhood. It's as though someone with an anxious attachment style is singing the first verse to God, and someone with an avoidant attachment style is singing the second verse to Him. But then in the spontaneous part, it just wrecks me that the brother sings that He is calling us higher - into a secure attached relationship with God and the people around us. Thank you so much for writing this song together with God, it gives me hope and strength for the process I'm in with Him.

My mother was very ill she had got covid and was in the hospital. One day while at home praying I got on RUclips and this song popped up I listened to it and became hooked! this song really penetrated my heart and soul deeply. I knew that the holy spirit had led me to this song. I kept playing it all day on repeat for a couple weeks. I went to the hospital to go see my mother and I sang this song to her on her death bed, along with some of her other favorite Christian songs. She ended up passing 3 hours later 😢 I then understood why God led me to listen to this song, to let me know that my mother was going to lean back into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. This song is a huge comfort to me in this time of mourning.
