Define "always"? Usually the difference isn't that big compared to televotes, but 2018, yeah I don't know what happened there.

Italy 2015 and Poland 2016 were biggest WTF moments for me and it made me think juries were dead inside. I still listen to both on a regular basis.

So I can say that if you don't like a favorite of mine, for example, The Netherlands 2013 (One of my all time favorites), you're dead inside.
I can somehow understand why Italy 2015 did so well in the televoting (amazing vocals, charismatic performers and a really good spot in running order), but Poland 2016 is so awful and over-cheesy, so I don't understand WTF it did so high. It's all because of the Polish diaspora.
And that's why 100% televoting is a disaster (diaspora/neighbors voting), and 50-50 is the best system (100% jury is a disaster as well).

In general 2016 takes the cake. Pretty scandalous for Poland and Russia. Also Australia not winning and Ukraine’s win sparking political controversy/influences makes it even more outrageous.

Italy 2015 and Poland 2016 😭 One of my favourite Esc songs all time and after 4/3 years I still can't belive that Italy didn't win and Poland didn't get more points. 😭💔 I love also Italy 2018, Denmark 2018, Romania 2017, Norway 2019.... I don't understand how Friend of a friend got more points by juries than Lie to me. Just unbeliveble.

Norway 2019 was the biggest gap between the public and jury vote... they had technical issues on the jury vote meaning their screen was black and couldn't perform again. Really sad.

Why does it often seem like juries have a political agenda (eg: favouritism, etc) to push? They're supposed to be there to support quality, but some of the their voting is really questionable. Corrupted or corruptible with only 5 per jury. Hmmmmmmm.

Back in 2016 night, watching Esc with locals and they just loved Michal so much.. for some genuine reason it happened. And it was the same with Keiino this past year. I was shocked how much loved Norway was and the energy. Il Volo's case is easy since all room got goosebumps in that performance and you heard wow. Similar Conchita effect in 2014.

Δάφνη 23 I honestly don’t think so some entries will do bad on one side and incredibly amazing on the other, so the winner won’t always be the winner of either side like Duncan he neither won the Jury vote nor the Televote but he did extremely good on both sides that’s why he deserved to win.
This is a good example of the audience having much better taste than juries, or just not being paid to go against certain countries when there is a need for it.

Can't help but notice that the televoting is always worst than the juries voting for black performers (Sweden 2019, Latvia 2015, Austria 2018...)

Everyone is criticizing the juries, but why not take a critical look at televote? It's not like they do nothing wrong. It's easy to bash on the juries hm. If we only had televote, trash entries would win Eurovision (not 2019 that was great). Because usually televote look to the show not the song. So take a look at yourself before criticizing juries. It would be better to do juries an other way (like more people in the juries, no former Eurovision artists in the juries) than to skip them. Juries also see Sweden's quality while televise only hates these songs because they are Swedish and don't want to admit Sweden is great. Yeah they do things wrong (Italy 2018, Poland 2016, Russia 2016 and Norway 2019 for example) but televote also does, and much more than the juries

I Agree with Sweden 2015 and the fact that the Televote also does things wrong. Like for example I think that the juries wanted Switzerland to qualify last year but they failed with the Televote. But neither is perfect the juries treated Spain like Trash this year amongst other crimes (Greece 2018 😭) so i think we need both but there must be changes with the Juries.

Also in my opinion Italy deserved so much more to win than Azerbaijan. They basically won with the worst song they ever had and it is still on of the worst winner in esc history. Juries taste suck. Since juries were introduced not one single good song won , except Sweden 2012. Turkey did the right thing withdrawing from the contest. Juries are biased
But quite a few of the winners since juries were introduced won based on the televote, Netta 2018, Salvador 2017, etc

My take on the songs:
20 (JURIES): Generic English song. It's well done, but giving it a top-3 place is too much. Give it the jury score and it's like 10th, which is also fine.
19 (TELEVOTE): It was a good song, but it's a song which should only be heard once, because it loses a lot of its charm when you hear it multiple times.
18 (JURIES): First of all: I'm Belgian, so I had plenty of time to evaluate this. I think this song missed a big climax, which made it slightly on the boring side.
17 (TELEVOTE): basically once again a generic English song.
16 (JURIES): definitely don't like this song, period.
15 (TELEVOTE): she has a very strong voice, but I don't particularly like the song. I can understand why the juries gave this a lot of points.
14 (TELEVOTE): the inclusion of just about everything in a rather serene song was outstanding. I don't know what the juries were thinking on this one.
13 (TELEVOTE): I think this was a very weird song. I still don't get this song at all.
12 (INBETWEEN): good song, good execution, but not worthy of a 3rd place. The jury result of 10-15th place is maybe a bit harsh.
11 (INBETWEEN): nice song with the yodeling, but once again not really outstanding.
10 (TELEVOTE): I think his voice went out in the public final (as shown by the clip). Maybe he hadn't that problem during the jury final.
09 (INBETWEEN): she has a very good voice and has shown she can sing, but I don't really like the song. I would give her 100-120 points.
08 (TELEVOTE): I think that rap is not really appreciated by the juries (and usually not by me either), but I think this was well done.
07 (INBETWEEN): the difference is not so great in positions (5-6th place vs 1st place). I think 3rd place was actually a good position.
06 (TELEVOTING): basically once again a generic English song. Well executed, but nothing special.
05 (TELEVOTING): this, I don't understand from those juries. What were they thinking? Good voice and good song.
04 (JURIES): it was a very good act, but take the song apart, you simply get a generic English song, which is nothing special. I think 5-6th place is a correct decision in this case.
03 (TELEVOTING): what is so special about this song, juries? I absolutely hated it and it got deservedly shot down by the public.
02 (JURIES): take away the act and everything around the song, and you get 6 old ladies singing, but their voices are not that great. 92 points basically means around 10th place, so that would be a correct place for them.
01 (TELEVOTING): well, here is the story that there was a major malfunction during this act in the juries final, which had a negative impact on the number of points awarded. The group asked to redo their song, but were disallowed. Pity, that...
Overall: I think the juries should stay, because they weed out trash entries (and save some good ones, like Norway 2014) and they are usually less biased towards friendly countries than the televote. Of course the televoting may always agree to disagree... The system, as it stands now, should be good.
Pipothefreak Norway’s camera failure was fairly minor. Certainly wouldn’t account for 150+ points.
@@RBenjo21 Juries evaluate 5 things, among which is the staging. A camera failure usually means a lot less points in staging, which meant losing a lot of positions in the end. If you lose on average like 3 positions per jury, because of that, that may account for about 100-120 points in total (some juries wont give Norway anything either way and some might give them 12 points in stead of 7).
Take those 100 points in account and the other countries losing a few points and you geta Norway in 2nd or 3rd place in the end!
What is hatable about our 2018 entry?
Televoters have no taste some times.
(Russia 2012 becoming a runner-up is a proof of that as well.)
