Thanks for doing all that. You forgot to mention the other screw. The front 'tube' that points up and into the seat cushion has a 1 1/2" screw - a fat one - like a #10. Your 'tube' on the old part is broken there. The hole for that screw is IMPOSSIBLE to re-locate once you push it into the soft stuff. After WAY to much trying, I had to use a Self-Drilling screw and make a new hole. That is good because I could push the part closer to the cushion. My broken one didn't have that missing like yours. And it didn't have the side one missing / broken liker yours either so I'm not sure why I had the gap that seems to be on many C5's. The only thing broken on mine was one of the latches for the switch and I can't see that causing such a gap. Regardless - Thanks for the help. Like everything, it turned into a 2+ hour project. Much swearing, sweating and a trip to the hardware store to get the right Self-Drilling screw. Story of my life!
