If 6 weeks ain't panic time for class balance, then when is?! I still remember the WoD Alpha, and issues therein going unaddressed till the first live patch (6 months later)
It looks depressing when they let you cast 4+ back to back bolts and it just deals no damage at all.
do what cobrak didn't do and read the patch notes.
having shitty DPS on the beta is the best thing we can hope for
As an arcane main, I must confirm. I don't think they're nearly done with the nerfs.
I chuckle that blizzard thinks they are even capable of balancing all of these modifiers.

Well the thing is sadly because PvP is a minority in WoW the tuning for it comes a bit later. There's very few dedicated PvP players giving feedback and playing so they (Blizzard) have very limited data. Also among PvPers fewer playing Warlock propably than some melee classes etc.
That said PvE still has ongoing raid testing (or just finished Mythic raid testing not 100% sure) M+ testing has been ongoing too. Those two provide Blizz with significant amount of data on where classes are damage wise and therefore I would expect bigger class dmg tuning fixes incoming quite soon. They usually tweak some PvP modifiers on top of that but that tuning propably is on somewhat separate event.
Also might be somehow related that there's been discussion and some blue posts about the state of healing (mostly in context of M+ I think) but that might have some effect on PvP too right now because they've increased player health pools significantly in an effort to make healing more a sustainable style instead of whack a mole super fast reacting.
All this considered I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet. Also damn this must be the longest comment I've ever written..gz for making it to the end 👍🏻😂

Thing is it was good in wrath. Didn't need fixing, they've just ruined the spec over the years so it requires fixing but honestly just revert it to wrath and it'd be a great spec to play

I always played Destro more than any other class and it almost never was fun. Mele classes just straight down murrder you with infinite cc dmg. Never letting you to cast. So if I get in game to play it will deff not be caster esspecualy Destro.
That's my experience as a warlock pretty much the whole time playing WoW. 😂
Hell we couldnt get onto the PTR for about 5 days straight. Its not worth coming back to the game.

cobrak last video i watched it still didn't seem you got the memo. warlock dps isn''t low, everyone's HP is just giga buffed. nobody can kill people in a stun anymore.
even though you're reading the very patch notes making it explicit you still jumped ahead to the PVP part where they're nerfing all HP-based heals by 40% to compensate for the extra 60% stamina everyone has now, i think it's the very first line in these patch notes.
It's not even just the damage. Warlock at this point one of the only classes, maybe the only one, where we have to hard cast most of our spells anymore. Meanwhile melee are running all over the place with gap closers, and other ranged have a ton of instant cast procs or super quick cast spells, or can cast on the move. Meanwhile our defensiveness is also trash now compared to every other class.
Blizzard about warriors, again..: Nothing to see here.
Lol, warriors got giga buffed and deal very respectable damage right now, both in PvP and PvE

I'm just hoping that things can change a bit from DF with too many micro CC and self sustain and insane insta heals. Need decent dmg and CDs kept in check.
Blizzard say last 10 year "we don't like pvp in wow and don't do any good for pvp player" player in same time waste time in pve game for find balance and any sense in pvp😂

Big agree man. Wish they'd just shrink everything by 1000%. I mean, the level cap is 80 in TWW. Why can't we get WotLK numbers Blizzard?? 😅
beta content is lacking, seems like no one who has access to it is posting content
New expansion packs are always always always dominated by melee classes, their power spike is vers + one secondary. Season 2 is always more balanced, with access to more versa and secondary, and end of expansions are always always always dominated by casters with access to vers + two secondarys. There are outliers of course (season 1 SL boomkins with convoke, s4 df assassination rogues) but that's exactly what they are, outliers.
One month until release.
Another beta expansion and the masses will keep on praising blizzard's dog***t work.

And that’s why they nerfed demo because of its “mobility.”😂 When numbers don’t lie and that spec is dead last when it comes to turreting.
So, good luck having to cast as demo against melee.
And the hell they nerfed chaos bolt to 3 seconds just to hit like a wet noodle.
Actually, Destro is one of the best designed specs in the game. The hero talents are better than 99% of hero talents, and the class and spec trees have seen more iterations than any other class in the game except maybe mages. Most classes are struggling hard compared to warlocks.
The damage tuning is completely separate from class design, but spells hitting for 800k is actually pretty good compared to other classes. Overall the damage in TWW beta is very low and time to kill is very high, which is a game wide problem not a warlock problem. And yeah some specs like fury warrior are just broken and that will probably get tuned appropriately. Probably.
I did this long post last night and hit submit, but I don't see it posted so I will try and remember what I said.
I'm not sure how you're specced stat wise on the beta, but I play the Diabolist Hero Talents specced full mastery instead of haste myself. I wish I was a better player to know when the stars align because when they do and all of those rng buffs hit at the same time, you can do 3-7 million dmg Chaos Bolts. Dueling a Paladin just yesterday and hit him with (2) 7 million dmg bolts back to back. I wish I can tell you why it happens, but without my UI I don't pay attention to shit (buffs/debuffs) I just play and win.
Now a better player like yourself who actually does testing could probably figure that out, but I have constantly seen and shocked myself and who I was dueling when those 3-7 million Chaos Bolts hit. I imagine once Blizzard gets a hold of what can potentially happen there will be nerfs instead of the buffs you're looking for. So, if you figure it out, please let a brother know LOL.
Also, I am always on beta repping Destro and never see you, but I attribute that to what I'm guessing could be a 12-hour time difference when I'm online LOL IDK!

EVERY youtuber should take notes here. and add some sort of AD BAR like Cobrak did here. I get it, youtubers wanna make money and do ADs etc. even tho people pay already for premium youtube to not get ads.. but thats on youtube to "fix" this nonsense. but adding this kind of AD BAR is fair enough for people that dont already use some sort of sponsorblock addons anyway.
chaosbolt does no damage.. i hate it when destru is CB spamming instead of having a single CB with meaningful damage.
people are so negative. things are always imbalanced at the start of the xpac. blizz is more attentive than the past. all will be fine sooner than later
