She is absolutely my all time favorite. The shear beauty and quality of her voice is angelic, simply astounding. She sings this aria like it was her A-B-C's, just with an outward ease and comfort, making you believe the song is of her own composition. Brava!!

Thanks for this Freya. I have always loved Kathleen Battle's sweet voice. When I was young I listened to her "Let the Bright Seraphim" with Wynton Marsalis over and over, trying to sing it well enough to perform it at my church. I never did achieve that, but I still love her voice. ❤ Just heavenly

Kathy had one of the most special "spin" to her voice I've ever heard. So delicate, you never ever felt anything "stuck out" in any part of her range except the absolute TIPPITY top, but even then, everything always sounded so even-toned and never shrill. This is also such a LOW aria in quite a number of spots, and Kathleen handles the middle and low so well. It's as if the Mozart "ina" Arias are made for her.
