    I just ordered a pair of these online to replace my Nike Benassi slides. I wanted an all rubber/foam slide to prevent any sort of fungus growth. The cushioning and support these give are perfect for me since I destroyed my leg and foot in a motorcycle accident. Ever since then, I'm constantly looking for the ultimate in comfort. Looking forward to wearing these around the house and neighborhood.

    I bought some Hoka slippers recently. My first reaction after a while was they were too firm. I had a long run and these were perfect for my tired feet afterwards. Needed something a little more firm and not too squishy.

    Have you tried the oofo's? I don't run, but do high intensity workouts and walk 10,000 steps on the trail. From your review it seems like the Hoka slides are best for ailments, and it gives support where it's needed. Also, did the Hoka's run true to size? I wear a size 11 women's, but it recommend a 10.

    Don't know if you're still monitoring this video comments section...
    I'm wondering if Ora Glide is better than Ora Luxe for inside house use only...
    I've seen statements that stack height is:
    29-34mm : Ora Glide
    14-18mm : Ora Luxe
    So it seems Ora Glide Would be better in house than Ora Luxe.
    Ora Luxe is better for outside use because of adjustable strap, but Luxe stack height is half stack height of Glide...

      @RunTall  2 года назад +2

      Hi S G. I love my ORA recovery slides. I've been wearing them along time now. I do wear mine both indoors and outside. They clean up easy and are very comfortable. I haven't had any issues with them at all. I haven't had the opportunity to use the ORA Luxe. My other go to Recovery Slide is from Oofos. A little softer than the ORA Recovery Slides which feels great on those days when I'm feeling pretty beat up. Have a great day and thanks for the question.

    I see this was made some time ago, Tim. I got my Hoka sandals for the same price too but I find that their is nothing to stop them from slipping off my feet. I see you are wearing socks, is that the secret to hold them in place? I bought an old school pair of thong flip flops and they were only 99cents and seem to fill the bill with the toe insert piece. Sidenote: I have done a number of my beginner shoe reviews and I find my presentations are a bit disorganized. I really like yours and will use them as a template for mine to cover all the bases without forgetting things. Thanks Tim.

      Sometimes I wear socks with these. I haven't really thought much about how they stay on my feet. Hoka does make a recovery shoe of sport slides don't work. I've been thinking about picking up a pair to review on the channel.

I'm having to buy online as Hoka ORA Slide is not available in New Zealand. Even the other Hoka shoes are very limited here and I had to order online from another country. So, I wear a Women's US size 9.5 Gaviota 3 Wide. There's no half sizes for their slides. Should I get a size 9 or 10?

He needs a shoe that has depth and is soft on the top of the shoe so its not as irritating. Hi Yasmin. I hope your dad feels better soon. I'm sorry to hear that he is in pain. No I wouldn't recommend these. If I'm recovering from a run or hard workout, these are great or when I'm having other types of pain, like knee pain, and I need something somewhat soft but with support, these are great. My go to for PF is the Oofos Ooahh Slides. They are much softer and far easier for me to walk in when I'm hurting. Having just come off a bought of PF I can say that they were a life saver for me. HOKA vs OOFOS sandals? I have OOFOS and I like them but I do feel that arch support and sometimes when I just stand in them the arch feels a little too aggressive. It’s very comfortable to walk in them though.

    • @RunTall
      @RunTall  2 года назад +2

      Hoka is much more firm especially with their arch support. There are times when that's what I need but Oofos are definitely more cushioned. Have a great day and stay safe.

    Are these good for beach, pool? Are they slippery when wet?

    • @RunTall

      I haven’t wore them around a pool but I’ve wore them at the beach and they do great. I’ve had mine for 2 years or so and they still look and feel new. Hope this helps. Have a great day!

      I haven’t had any trouble with that at all. I have wore these in the shower at my gym and they weren’t slippery at all. I love these slides. I wear mine all the time.

    Which sandal has a firmer and higher arch, oofos or hoka? My left foot is flat and recovering from being pronated for so long. I'm wearing atta sandals rn, and it does the job, but it's narrow for my feet and I'm looking for one I can wear outdoors.

      The Hoka slide is much firmer and has a higher more prominent arch. Great question. Thanks for watching. Have a great day and stay safe.
